Back in the day, most computer monitors came in some kind of beige or off-white, but these days most monitors come in black, so seeing an almost entirely white monitor is rather uncommon. MSI's new G274QRFW delivers just that, with a white front bezel, white sides, a white stand and a mostly white back, except for a small RGB element which is covered in black plastic. The display panel measures 27-inches, is of the rapid IPS type and has a native resolution of 2560 x 1440. It supports refresh rates of up to 170 Hz over DisplayPort 1.4 or 144 Hz over HDMI 2.0b. MSI has also implemented a console mode that does 120 Hz at 1080p.

The panel is of the regular 8-bit + FRC type, has a 1 ms response time and a 300 NITS brightness, with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and it supports 125 percent of the SRGB colour gamut. The G274QRFW supports AMD Freesync Premium and is G-Sync compatible, with a refresh rate range of 48 to 170 Hz. MSI has also implemented what the company calls Night Vision, which helps brighten up dark scenes in games. The monitor also features anti-flicker technology and what MSI calls Less Blue Light Pro, which reduces the blue light emitted by the display. No word on pricing or when it will be shipping was provided.

EIZO Corporation today announced the release of the FlexScan EV2781 - a 27-inch, frameless IPS monitor with 2560 x 1440 resolution equipped with a USB Type-C terminal for improving productivity and sustainability features for lessening impact on the environment. The FlexScan EV2781 joins EIZO's line of FlexScan New Standard business monitors which offers a range of sizes from 23.8 to 31.5 inches and features USB Type-C connectivity.

It is the first New Standard monitor to offer a high resolution of WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) in a large 27-inch screen size. Dell has launched a pair of very similar looking 32-inch gaming monitors, but looks can be deceiving as they say. The two models are the G3223Q and G3223D, with the G3223Q sporting a 4K 144 Hz Fast IPS panel, with the G3223D also using a Fast IPS panel, but dropping the resolution to 2560 x 1440 while upping the refresh rate to 165 Hz. The G3223D is only rated for HDR 400, while the G3223Q gets HDR 600 support, although both appear to be edge-lit panels. Other common features include a 1 ms response time (grey-to-grey), a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a 95 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Both monitors support AMD FreeSync, but the G3223D is also NVIDIA G-Sync certified. As far as connectivity goes, the G3223D offers a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports, a DP 1.4 port, a USB-C port with DP-Alt mode and 15 W power delivery, as well as two downstreams USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The G3223Q on the other hand has a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports, one DP 1.4 port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) Type-B port, as well as two downstreams USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a headphone jack. Viotek rolled out the GFI27DBXA, a 27-inch monitor with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) native resolution, 180 Hz refresh rate, and 1 ms response time, which add to its gaming feature-set. The IPS display panel behind all this, is capable of 10-bpc color (1.07 billion colors), 178°/178° viewing angles, 600 cd/m² maximum brightness, and HDR, although the company didn't mention if this is DisplayHDR 600. The panel also supports AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC (compatible). Display inputs include two DisplayPort 1.4, and one HDMI 2.0. The monitor also features game genre-specific display presets, OSD crosshairs, anti-glare surface treatment, and 3-level blue light filtering. Its stand allows tilt, height, and 90° rotation adjustments. Available now, the Viotek GFI27DBXA is priced at USD $370.

MSI today announced another entry into their MAG monitor lineup in the form of the MAG272CQP. As the name implies, we're looking at a 27" affair packing a WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440). The panel is a VA type (as implied by its 3000:1 contrast ratio, although at a basic 300 nits maximum brightness), and has a curve ratio of 1500R. The monitor supports VRR (marketed as FreeSync Premium), and 165 Hz refresh rates with 1 ms response times.

AOC today launched another addition to their gaming monitor lineup in the form of the AG323QCX2. This particular entry from AOC features a 2560 x 1440 8WQHD) 31.5" panel with a VA pixel matrix, which will ensure fast response times - as shown by the 155 HZ refresh rate and 1 ms response time. To support that refresh rate, the AOC AG323QCX2 features support for VESA's VRR (FreeSync). With a contrast ratio set at 3000:1 and a 1500R curvature, this panel looks like a competent solution for users who are looking for 1080p+ resolutions but don't want to bring their graphics cards to their knees with 4K resolution (a reality that is still common, even with the latest (unavailable) GPUs from AMD and NVIDIA.

The AG323QCX2 also features support for VESA's HDR 400 standard, with a typical luminance announced at 400 cd/m² (and HDR10 support). Color technology-wise, we're looking at a a good 99% sRGB color coverage, and a great 91% coverage of the DCI-P3 color spaces, with a calibration that ensures a Delta-E < 2 value, which opens up this monitor's usage for photo and video editing. It uses an IPS panel with 5 ms response time, 75 Hz refresh rate, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, and 178°/178° viewing angles. The display supports both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC (compatible). Display inputs include HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2a. The stand allows height, tilt, and 90° rotation. The ROG Swift PG329Q is being launched with a "Super Kill" marketing line, which aims to showcase just how impressive this monitor will be in aiding users' gaming capabilities. The ROG Swift PG329Q features a 32" "Fast IPS" panel - fast IPS here meaning that it's capable of running at 175 Hz whilst keeping a 1 ms Gray-to-Gray response time - all of this with IPS' renowned color rendition.

The monitor features a sane 2560 x 1440 resolution and HDR 600 certification from VESA, and thanks to the usage of Quantum Dot tech, will be able to offer 98% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage and 160% sRGB ultra-wide color gamut coverage. The monitor supports Adaptive Sync tech (whether via FreeSync or G-Sync compatible), as well as ASUS' ELMB SYNC technology. There's also the usual RGB tech going on in the back of the monitor. The ASUS ROG Swift PG329Q will be released in the fourth quarter of this year. No word on pricing, but expect a monitor with these features to be leaning heavily on the $ side of the equation.
