MSI AE2712 Windows 8 All-in-One PC Pictured

Here is the first picture of MSI's upcoming performance all-in-one desktop based on Windows 8, the AE2712. As its model number might suggest, the AE2712 derives its name from its 27-inch display. The display is touch-capable, and features 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood is an Intel Core "Ivy Bridge" processor; a variety of CPU, memory, and graphics options will be available. MSI will launch the AE2712 close to that of Windows 8. More details are awaited.

I-O Data Readies a 27-Inch WQHD IPS Monitor

I-O Data has just announced a new addition to its monitor offer, a 27-inch model called LCD-MF271CGBR which features an IPS panel capable of a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. I-O Data's display also has an 8.6 ms response time, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a maximum brightness of 420 cd/m2, D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors, and two 2 W built-in speakers.

The LCD-MF271CGBR will ship at the end of this month.

AOC Releases the i2757fh 27-inch IPS Monitor

AOC, the leader in monitor display technology, announces the retail availability of the i2757fh, a 27-inch IPS display with a 2 mm bezel that gives the monitor a sleek, borderless appearance. The monitor's widescreen IPS (in plane switching) panel also allows for more consistent, uniform color from all viewing angles, delivering amazingly sharp image quality.

Iiyama Intros New ProLite 24-inch and 27-inch Desktop Monitors

Japanese display maker Iiyama introduced two additions to its ProLite series of desktop monitors, the 24-inch E2473HS and 27-inch E2773HS. The two feature X-Res technology, an image-enhancement feature that benefits blurry or low-resolution content, simulating higher resolution. The two utilize conventional TN-film LCD panels with LED backlit illumination. 1920 x 1080 pixels is the standard resolution for both models. The E2473HS features 2 ms (GTG) response time, 1000:1 CR with mega contrast DCR; while the E2773HS supports response time as low as 1 ms, 1200:1 CR with mega contrast DCR. 300 cd/m² is the maximum brightness for both models. Display inputs for both include D-Sub, DVI, and HDMI. Slated for late-November, the E2473HS is expected to be priced at 21,800 JPY (US $280), while the E2773HS goes for 25,800 JPY (US $331.2).

ASUS Also Rolls Out New Monitors

ASUS announced a pair of new monitors addressing different segments of the market, the PA248QJ for creative professionals, and the VG27AH for gamers. The 24-inch PA248QJ provides a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, and packs a high-grade IPS LCD panel with 10-bit color resolution, high coverage of Adobe RGB palette, 6 ms response time, 300 cd/m² brightness, 1000:1 static and 8000:1 ASCR contrast ratios, and a range of inputs including DisplayPort, DVI, and HDMI. The monitor also includes a 4-port USB 3.0 hub. Moving on, the VG27AH is a 27-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels native resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 5 ms response time, IPS LCD panel with 178-degree V/H viewing angles, 250 cd/m² brightness, 80000000:1 ASCR, and a variety of 3D display features.

Dell Launches the 2013 S Series Monitors

Dell has this week introduced no less than five new monitors, the 27-inch S2740L, the 24-inch S2440L, the 23-inch S2340L and the 21.5-inch S2240L and S2240M. These fresh displays are part of the company's 2013 S Series and feature thin bezels, Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS (S2740L, S2340L, S2240L, S2240M) or VA (S2440L) panels with 178/178 degree viewing angles, and LED backlighting.

The IPS models have a 7 ms (gray to gray) response time and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, while the VA monitor has a 5 ms response time and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio. The S2740L packs VGA, DVI and HDMI ports (plus a 2-port USB hub) while the S2440L, S2340L and S2240L come with VGA and HDMI inputs. The S2240M has to settle for VGA and DVI. The S2740L and S2440L also have edge-to-edge glass.

The S2740L, S2440L, S2340L, S2240L and S2240M cost $399.99, $299.99, $249.99, $219.99 and $199.99, respectively. All can be found here.

LG Launches Premium IPS Monitors for Professionals and Entertainment Enthusiasts

LG Electronics (LG) unveiled two new premium IPS moni-tors today at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin, the EA93 and EA83. The EA93 is designed to enjoy variety of entertainment and the EA83 is specifically crafted to handle graphics-intensive applications. The most noticeable feature on the EA93 is the cinematic screen, a 21:9 display - the same ratio used in real movie theaters -that works as a superb solu-tion for home entertainment and multitasking. LG Readies EA93 and EA83 Widescreen IPS LED Monitors

IPS panel major LG is readying a pair of new widescreen, high-resolution monitors for launch at IFA Berlin, the EA93 and EA83. The two incorporate LG's IPS LCD panels with LED illumination. The EA93 is a 29-inch ultra-widescreen monitor featuring a 21:9 aspect-ratio, with 2560 x 1080 pixels native resolution. The 27-inch EA83, on the other hand, features a more conventional 16:9 aspect-ratio, with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.

The EA93 is designed to support 4-way split screen, taking inputs from four different connectors: dual-link DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI, and MHL. The EA83 supports dual-link DVI, DisplayPort, and HDMI, and offers 99 percent coverage of Adobe RGB palette. The EA93 and EA83 are slated for market-launch in November.

AOC Introduces the e2752Vh 27-Inch Monitor

AOC, the leader in monitor display technology, announces the retail availability of the 52 Series, the largest screened offering in the company's line of ultra-thin, energy efficient LED monitors. ASUS VG278HE Monitor Packs 144 Hz Panel

ASUS announced its newest 27-inch 3D desktop monitor, the VG278HE, which packs an LED-backlit LCD panel capable of 144 Hz refresh rate, which adds 24 frames per second to 120 Hz display output, making 3D gaming look even more fluid. The VG278HE makes use of a TN-film panel, with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, and 2 ms (GTG) response time. It supports NVIDIA's 3D Vision 2 (kit to be purchased separately). Display inputs include dual-link DVI (dual-link needed for such high refresh-rate, even at 1080p resolution), D-Sub, and HDMI (lower refresh rates with single TMDS link). 6W stereo speakers make for the rest of it. ASUS did not announce pricing or availability.

HP Announces Ivy Bridge Desktop Line-Up

HP today expanded its consumer desktop portfolio, adding five models powered by Intel's 3rd generation Intel Quad-Core processors that deliver intelligent performance and enhanced built-in security.

HP Z1 Workstation Now Shipping Worldwide

The V273HL has a recommended price tag of 299 Euro.
