It offers Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 165 Hz refresh rate, and 1 ms (MPRT) response time, along with support for VESA Adaptive Sync, low flicker, and low blue-light. Inputs include DisplayPort 1.2a and HDMI 2.0. The stand allows for tilt, swivel, and height adjustments. ASUS today introduced the VA27AQSB, a 27-inch monitor for white-collar desktops that stay on for most of the day. This WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) monitor features TUV Rhineland-certified flicker-free technology (non-PWM method of LED backlit brightness adjustment), and blue light reduction technology, which both work toward reducing eye strain. It uses an IPS panel with 5 ms response time, 75 Hz refresh rate, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, and 178°/178° viewing angles. The display supports both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC (compatible). Display inputs include HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2a. The stand allows height, tilt, and 90° rotation. The panel itself features VESA wall mounts, so you can take advantage of the thin bezels for multi-display rigs. 2 W stereo speakers, headset jack, and a 2-port USB 2.0 hub makes for the rest of its feature-set. AMD today announced availability of new AMD Radeon Pro 5000 series GPUs for the updated 27-inch iMac. The series includes the 31.5-inch Nitro XZ322QU and 27-inch Nitro XZ272 supporting up to a speedy 165 Hz refresh rate and the 23.6-inch 144 Hz Nitro XZ242Q. Thanks to Visual Response Boost (VRB), they deliver up to a 1 ms response time, resulting in smoothly rendered images with less noticeable blur in fast moving scenes.

Viotek unveiled the GFI27QXA, a 27-inch gaming monitor with formidable specs. It offers an IPS panel with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, and support for VESA Adaptive Sync, AMD FreeSync, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and HDR (limited to 60 Hz). Other specs include maximum brightness of 350 cd/m², 1,000:1 static contrast ratio (with DCR), and 16.7 million color capability. Inputs include two DisplayPort 1.4 and an HDMI 2.0. One of Viotek's claims to fame is its dead-pixel warranty, which offers a replacement for even 1 dead pixel (while other brands require clusters of dead pixels). The monitor is backed by a 3-year warranty and is priced at USD $749 (promotional price).

LG Electronics USA announced that the 27-inch QHD "Ergo" IPS monitor (model 27QN880-B) is now available as an online exclusive with an SRP of $449.99 through the end of June, and then at LG-authorized retailers nationwide beginning July 1. The new 27-inch QHD monitor joins LG's industry-leading lineup of IPS displays that are designed to deliver precise detail and color at a wide viewing angle that is ideal for creative designers, photographers and videographers working from home or those about to return to an office setting.

Acer is slowly rolling out its new monitors at some Chinese retailers and today we get to see their specifications. The two monitors in question are named XZ270X and XZ320QX respectively. The XZ270X is a 27-inch curved model with 1500R curvature applied, while its bigger brother XZ320QX has a 32-inch panel with 1800R curvature. Both models rock a 1920x1080p VA-type panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The VA panels in question are a new breed from CSOT and they feature 4000:1 contrast ratio.

The panels are advertised with 1 ms response time and 250 nits brightness. Both monitors offer 178-degree viewing angles and the ability to represent 16.7 million colors with sRGB (72% NTSC) color gamut. For I/O, Acer has equipped these monitors with one DisplayPort, one 3.5 mm audio jack, and two HDMI connectors. There are two 2 W stereo speakers as well. The Chinese retailer lists the 27-inch model for roughly $310 and the 32-inch model for around $420.

ASUS today rolled out the TUF Gaming VG279Q1R, a fast 27-inch gaming monitor. If you're willing to overlook its Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, on offer is an IPS panel with 144 Hz refresh-rate, 1 ms MPRT response time, ELMB (extreme low motion blur), and AMD FreeSync Premium support. ASUS offers most of its gamer-specific innovations such as GamePlus (hardware crosshairs, FPS counter, timer, multi-display alignment); and GameVisual (game genre-specific display presets). Display inputs include a DisplayPort 1.2a, and two HDMI 1.4a. The stand offers basic tilt adjustments, and can be detached to reveal a VESA wall mount. We expect a $250 price.

ASUS rolled out the ROG Strix XG27WQ, a 27-inch curved gaming monitor. With a 1500R curvature, this monitor offers WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution through a VA panel. Boosting its gaming chops are 165 Hz refresh-rate, 1 ms (GTG) response time, ELMB (ASUS extreme low motion blur), and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification. The panel meets DisplayHDR 400 specs and supports HDR-10. Other vital panel specs include 178°/178° viewing angles, 3000:1 contrast ratio, and 125% sRGB / DCI-P3 92% color saturation.

The ROG Strix XG27WQ features ASUS' typical tripod base with an ROG logo projection, with height-, swivel-, and tilt adjustments. Display inputs include a DisplayPort 1.2a and two HDMI 2.0 ports. A 3.5 mm headphones jack puts out digital audio from the graphics card. There's also a 2-port USB 3.0 hub. Among the gamer-specific features are ASUS GamePlus suite, which includes hard crosshairs, timer, FPS counter, and display alignment; ASUS GameVisual, a set of game genre-specific display presets; and low blue-light mode. ASUS didn't reveal pricing.

EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today announced the release of the ColorEdge CS2740, a 27-inch, 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) monitor for creative work, complete with USB Type-C connectivity. Whether it be photography, video editing, or design, this monitor provides everything to keep imagination flowing.

The ColorEdge CS series is a range of monitors that include many of the advanced features of EIZO's professional ColorEdge CG series, while also meeting the varying needs and budgets of hobbyists and prosumers. The ColorEdge CS2740 is the first in the CS series to implement 4K UHD resolution, which is four times the size of Full HD (1920 x 1080). The remarkable detail ensures that high resolution content is displayed crisply. The monitor also boasts a pixel density of 164 ppi for 4K image display that has never looked smoother. Alphanumeric characters and contours are distinguished with excellent sharpness, so users can check even the finest details without needing to zoom in.

Acer Japan has today launched two predator monitors based on IPS technology. The two monitors in question are 24.5-inch and 27-inch IPS panels based on 1080p resolution named XB253QGXbmiiprzx (the 24.5-inch model) and XB273GXbmiiprzx (27-inch model), which is not a typo and are the actual name of the models. Both of them feature Display HDR400 certifications, meaning that their maximum brightness is 400 nits. Other specifications include a maximum supported refresh rate of 240 Hz with 1 ms GtG response time that can be reduced to 0.5 ms response time with override mode. There are two options of frame syncing, where one is NVIDIA's G-SYNC, and the other is VESA's Adaptive-Sync. Both of them support up to 240 Hz refresh rate, meaning that you can use any card to get syncing at a high refresh rate. The IPS screen covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut.

For connectivity, Acer has equipped these monitors with one DisplayPort 1.2a, and two HDMI 2.0b ports used for input. There is a USB hub with four USB 3.0 ports and one 3.5 mm headphone jack output. The monitor is rocking two 2 W integrated stereo speakers. When it comes to the pricing, the smaller 24.5-inch model is priced at around ¥46,000 ($430 in the United States) and ¥55,000 (around $500 in the US).

Samsung today introduced the latest T55 series of monitors designed for an office use case. To kick-off the new lineup, Samsung launched three monitors that have similar specifications, but their respective size is the only differentiator. The new models are C24T55, C27T55, and C32T55 which feature 24-inch, 27-inch, and 32-inch display panels respectively. All of them feature 1000R curvature applied to ease the eye strain, making them a very unique choice for an office monitor.

Besides the different screen sizes, all of the monitors feature similar specifications such as a 1080p VA screen clocked at a 75 Hz refresh rate. Besides having support for AMD's FreeSync technology, these monitors have 4 ms GtG response time, so they are not exactly gaming oriented. The displays cover 1.193 of the sRGB color spectrum and 0.884 of Adobe RGB, so despite being a VA panel, it is not bad. The brightness level is a standard 250 nit specification for an office monitor, and the contrast ration is 3000:1. To feed the monitor with image, you can choose anything from HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, or D-Sub connector. While the 24-inch version doesn't include any in-built speaker, the 27-inch and 32-inch versions have a pair of 5 W stereo speakers. There are no VESA mounting points, so to stand the monitor relies on its own stand which can tilt from -3° to 20°.

If you overlook the fact that it uses a TN-film panel, the new AGON AG273QZ has some otherwise impressive specs relevant to gamers. This 27-inch monitor offers WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, with staggering 0.5 ms response time, 240 Hz refresh-rate, support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and DispplayHDR 400 certification. The panel is mounted onto a stylish tripod stand, and comes with RGB LED embellishments behind. Other key panel specs include 170°/160° viewing-angles (H/V), 1000:1 static contrast ratio with dynamic mega-contrast, and a WLED backlight that uses a non-PWM method of dimming (flicker-free). Inputs include HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4, from which you need at least DP1.2 HBR2 to support 1440p @ 240 Hz. The company didn't reveal pricing.

EIZO Corporation today announced the release of the FlexScan EV2760, a 27-inch, WQHD (2560 x 1440) monitor with a frameless design for business environments such as trading rooms, back offices, and control rooms. It contributes to higher work efficiency and a smaller eco footprint for sustainable development, which are globally discussed topics.

The FlexScan EV2760 uses a 27-inch LCD panel with 2560 x 1440 native resolution. It implements LED-backlit IPS (in-plane switching) panel technology with 178° wide viewing angles. The typical brightness is 350 cd/m² and the contrast ratio is 1000:1.

At this year's CES, GIGABYTE has unveiled a new lineup of gaming monitors. Supposed to offer good value and high refresh rate, GIGABYTE decided to start offering 3 initial products in the form of the GIGABYTE G27F, G27QC, and G32QC. The first in the lineup is the G27F, a 27-inch 1080p monitor. It features a 144 Hz refresh rate along with support for FreeSync and G-SYNC technologies. Along with a high refresh rate, there is a 120% sRGB color saturation support. It has two integrated 2 W stereo speakers and feature GIGABYTE's auto-update, a feature which performs automatic system checkups once the monitor is connected to the PC.

Next up, two more monitors are a part of the QC Series, which brings advanced features to the table. The G27QC is a 27-inch 1440p display with 1500R curvature applied to it. It has a higher, 165 Hz refresh rate capability with 90% of DCI-P3 color saturation coverage. The display itself is also HDR capable to bring better, brighter and more vibrant colors to users. When it comes to syncing technology, it has support for AMD's FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA's G-SYNC. There are also two 2 W stereo speakers and the monitor has support for GIGABYTE's Auto-Update feature. In addition to these monitors, GIGABYTE also showed off the G32QC monitor, which takes the presented features even further. This time we are getting a 32-inch 1440p monitor with a 1500R curvature as well. It also has support for the 165 Hz refresh rate and 90% coverage of DCI-P3 color saturation standard. HDR support is also present, however, it has VESA's DisplayHDR 400 standard in place. For syncing support, there is AMD's FreeSync Premium Pro that takes the FreeSync support to another level, while G-SYNC is also present. For this model, there aren't any integrated speakers, while the support for the Auto-Update feature is still present.

At the 2020 International CES, Dell unveiled its latest monitor for graphics professionals, the UltraSharp PremierColor UP2720Q. This 27-inch monitor features an in-built colorimeter for color-caliberation, besides support for CalMAN, which lets you caliberate color with an external colorimeter. The UP2720Q offers 100% Adobe RGB coverage, besides 98% DCI-P3, and 80% BT.2020. The 27-inch 4K Ulra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) monitor also supports Thunderbolt 3, letting you daisy-chain it with other devices.

Besides its flagship ROG Swift PG32UQX flagship display, ASUS unveiled the ROG Swift PG43UQ, a larger 43-inch gaming display that's reasonably heavy on the specs sheet. Its 43-inch non-glare VA panel offers "G-SYNC Compatible" readiness, 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, 144 Hz refresh-rate, 1 ms response-time, and DisplayHDR 1000 certification (1,000 cd/m² maximum brightness). It uses DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC to enable all its features, and is TUV Rheinland certified for low blue-light and flicker-free brightness adjustment.

ASUS also unveiled the ProArt PA27UCX, a 27-inch professional graphics monitor for high-grade content creation. Among its long list of panel specs are 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, 10 bpc color (1.07 billion colors) covering 97% DCI-P3, 99.5% Adobe RGB, 100% sRGB, and 83% Rec. 2020. In addition, it is DisplayHDR 1000 certified with 576 dimming zones, along with support for HDR-10 HLG and Dolby Vision. One of its key features is USB-C input support, with a single cable providing display signal, USB data transfer, and power-delivery for the monitor. Flicker-free and low blue-light mode make for the rest of it.

Other key panel specs include 10 bpc color (1.07 billion colors), 178°/178° viewing-angles, 300 cd/m² maximum brightness, and dynamic mega-contrast ratio, besides 3000:1 static contrast.

The Optix MAG272QR features a stand that lets you adjust height, 90° rotation to portrait mode, ±75° swivel, and 5-20° tilt.
