The most expensive custom-design NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 will be priced at $1,550, putting it just $50 short of the $1,600 baseline MSRP of the much faster RTX 4090, according to a pricing leak of custom-design cards on popular PC components retailer MicroCenter. The most interesting takeaway from this leak is that there will actually be RTX 4080 cards at the NVIDIA-set baseline MSRP of $1,200. These include the GIGABYTE Eagle, ZOTAC Trinity, ASUS TUF Gaming, and PNY XLR8 Verto. NVIDIA appears to be telling its partners to sell at least one custom-design RTX 4080 SKU at the baseline price.

Most factory-overclocked custom-design RTX 4080 SKUs are within $125 of the $1,200 baseline, with the GIGABYTE Eagle OC priced at $1,240, GIGABYTE Gaming OC at $1,280, MSI Ventus 3X OC at $1,280, and the premium MSI Gaming X Trio at $1,325. The top-tier custom-design cards start here, with the GIGABYTE AORUS Master priced at $1,350, the MSI SUPRIM X (air-cooled) at $1,400, the ZOTAC AMP Extreme AIRO at $1,400, ASUS TUF Gaming OC at $1,500; and the ASUS ROG Strix OC at $1,550, which is just $50 short of the cheapest RTX 4090 (baseline-spec). Will anyone pick the ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4080 O16G over the cheapest RTX 4090 (assuming availability of both)? That's a social experiment to watch out for.

ZOTAC unveiled a nimble lineup of two new graphics cards based on NVIDIA's latest GeForce GTX 1650 GDDR6 graphics chip. They two are even factory-overclocked despite lacking an additional power connector and relying on the PCIe slot for power. The standard ZOTAC GTX 1650 GDDR6 (model: ZT-T16520F-10L) features the company's cheapest single-fan cooling solution, consisting of a heatsink with radially-projecting fins not unlike Intel's stock CPU cooler; ventilated by a single 90 mm fan. The card offers a tiny factory overclock: up to 1620 MHz GPU Boost, compared to 1590 MHz NVIDIA reference.

The other card, the ZOTAC GTX 1650 GDDR6 AMP (model: ZT-T16520D-10L), features a slightly larger heatsink that's still molded from a single block of aluminium; ventilated by two 70 mm fans. This card ticks at 1650 MHz GPU Boost (vs. 1590 MHz reference). Both cards keep their 4 GB of GDDR6 memory running at reference speeds of 12 Gbps. The company didn't reveal pricing, although we expect it to be priced around $150-160 so as to not step on the GTX 1650 Super's toes.

Videocardz have snagged some ZOTAC box renders (for an AMP and non-AMP model), and these all but confirm some rumors that have been circulating through the interwebs: NVIDIA's GTX 1660 SUPER will make use of a GDDR6 memory subsystem to increase bandwidth and competitiveness against AMD's lineup. Motherboard vendors are betting big on the success of AMD's "Valhalla" desktop platform that combines a Ryzen 3000-series Zen 2 processor with an AMD X570 chipset motherboard, and have responded with some mighty premium board designs. GIGABYTE deployed its full spectrum of Aorus branding, including Ultra, Elite, ITX Pro, Master, and Xtreme. The X570 I Aorus Pro WiFi mini-ITX motherboard is an impressive feat of engineering despite its designers having to wrestle with the feisty new PCIe gen 4 chipset. It draws power from a combination of 24-pin and 8-pin connectors, and conditions power for the SoC with an impressive 8-phase VRM that uses high-grade PowIRstage components. A rather tall fan-heatsink cools the X570 chipset, with a 30 mm fan.

Connectivity options on the X570 I Aorus Pro WiFi are surprisingly aplenty. The sole expansion slot is a PCI-Express 4.0 x16, but the storage connectivity includes not one, but two M.2-2280 slots (reverse side of the PCB), each with PCI-Express 4.0 x4 and SATA 6 Gbps wiring. Four SATA 6 Gbps ports make for the rest of the storage connectivity. Networking options include 2.4 Gbps 802.11ax WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0 (Intel , and 1 GbE, all pulled by Intel-made controllers. USB connectivity includes six 5 Gbps USB 3.2 gen 1, and two 10 Gbps USB 3.2 gen 2 ports (of which one is type-C), and two 5 Gbps ports by headers. The onboard audio solution has 6-channel analog output, but is backed by a premium Realtek ALC1220VB Enhance CODEC (114 dBA SNR).

As we draw closer to the launch of NVIDIA-s upcoming, RTX/less GTX 11660 Ti graphics card, which is pegged to offer performance comparable to that of their previous generation GTX 1070, more and more partner cards - with their custom designs ready to go - are popping up. This time it's ZOTAC and its AMP and Twin Fan graphics cards, though there's not much more information.

The pictures offer some, though, as do ZOTAC's previous launch decisions when it comes to their AMPD and Twin Fan graphics cards. Both SKUs for the GTX 1660 Ti offer a dual-fan, single-slot solution, with a single 8-pin connector guaranteeing enough juice for both nominal and overclocked operation. A different PCB design is seemingly used between both cards, as the leaked renders seem to point towards. The AMP series will offer somewhat overclocked values for higher performance, and sports a lighter gray on the shroud, compared to the Twin Fan solution. Expect these to launch alongside NVIDIA's announcement, coming in just a few days.

The folks over at HD Tecnología have managed to snag some renders of ZOTAC-s upcoming renditions of the RTX 2060 graphics card, which has been getting more and more significant in the rumor mill as its release date (for now thought to be around January 15th) approaches. For now, two models seem to be planned: the AMP and Twin Fan models.

Both models feature the same cooler design, with angular, jet-like contours and a non-explosive gray and silver color scheme. The power connectors seem to be of the 8-pin type, and the design is being compared with that of the RTX 2070 Mini, also from ZOTAC - which it is. And that should mean similar dimensions and, likely, the same output connectors - 1x dual-link DVI-D connector on card, 3x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI, with an MIA VirtualLink port.

ZOTAC is preparing to launch another tier to its GeForce RTX 20-series graphics cards lineup with the AMP Extreme series. Sitting above their now historic AMP Series (at least in computer hardware terms, it's already historic), the new lineup will bring much improved factory overclocking numbers, so these are certainly part of those cherry-picked chips for maximum performance. Core clocks aren't known at the time, but memory clocks have been upped to 14.4 Gbps, some 400 MHz above the factory specifications for the RTX 2080 - the only confirmed card until now.

The rest of the design is relatively straightforward, with a metallic backplate, a tri-90 mm fan design, 2x 8-pin power connectors, a 16+4 phases power delivery system, and a much increased TDP of 280 W (over the reference 215 W). Of course, there's RGB lighting as well, but that's not the important thing here: the cherry-picked chips are. It's unclear os of yet when this series will hit the market, but expect them sooner rather than later. ZOTAC is apparently also working on a AMP Core series, which should find its differentiation over the factory overclocking specifics.

ZOTAC took to COMPUTEX 2018 to stretch its gaming legs. In one way or another, their products on showcase are meant to allow users to freely enjoy digital worlds, in the way they best see fit. Their mobile, VR GO 2.0 backpack, which carries an Intel 8700T CPU as well as NVIDIA's GTX 1070 graphics, now includes SPECTRA lighting (for all the people looking at you while you enjoy your mobile VR gaming, naturally).
