Intel Arc A580 Hits AotS Benchmark Database, Roughly Matches RTX 3050

Intel Arc A580 is an upcoming entry-mainstream desktop graphics card based on the Xe-HPG "Alchemist" graphics architecture, and positioned between the A380 and A750. Based on the larger 6 nm DG2-512 silicon than the one powering the A380, the A580 is endowed with 16 Xe Cores, or double the SIMD muscle of the A380, with 2,048 unified shaders. The card enjoys 8 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 128-bit bus, which at 16 Gbps data-rate produces 256 GB/s bandwidth.

A leaked Ashes of the Singularity benchmark database entry reveals that the A580 scores roughly 95 FPS at 1080p on average, with 110 FPS in the normal batch, around 102 FPS in the medium batch, and around 78 FPS in the heavy batch. The benchmark used the Vulkan API, and an unknown 16-thread Intel processor with 32 GB of memory. These scores put the A580 roughly at par with the GeForce RTX 3050 "Ampere" in this test, which would make it a reasonable solution for playing popular online games at 1080p with medium-high settings, or AAA games at medium settings.

Intel Arc A370M "Alchemist" Put Through AoTS

The Intel Arc A370M was put through the "Ashes of the Singularity" benchmark. In two separate runs, the GPU ended up with a score of 3500 and 3600 points in the "Min_1080p" configuration, with an average framerate of 67 FPS in the normal batch. The notebook test-platform this chip ran on consisted of a Core i7-12700H processor, and 32 GB of memory.

3500 points is a rather vague score for this benchmark, given that GPUs from a wide range of market segments attained the similar scores (albeit on very different CPU and memory configurations). The A370M is expected to be SKU that maxes out the smaller DG2 ASIC that physically features 128 execution units (1,024 unified shaders), and a 64-bit wide GDDR6 memory bus holding 4 GB of memory. This A370M should offer roughly twice the performance as the Iris Xe iGPU with 96 EUs found in quad-core "Tiger Lake" mobile processors.

NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti Tested in Ashes of the Singularity

The upcoming NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti has already been tested in the old, tried and true Ashes of the Singularity benchmark - the first game to ever support DirectX 12. Considering the proximity of this Ashes of the SIngularity bench run with the projected announcement date for the RTX 3080 Ti itself, on June 4th, it may mean that this is a reviewers' sample that's been tested.

NVIDIA RTX 3060 Bests RTX 2060, RTX 2070 in Ashes of the Singularity Benchmark

Benchmark performance for NVIDIA's yet-unreleased RTX 3060 graphics card have already started doing the rounds - even if it's one of the currently less-representative benchmarks for actual GPU performance, Ashes of the Singularity. Videocardz has gone through the trouble of collating benchmark results from the same user that uploaded the results for this RTX 3060 graphics card, hence the 19% performance differential in favor of the RTX 3060 results compared to the same users' RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 results.

The RTX 3060 was tested in the 1080p Crazy benchmark preset. It then scored a total of 6600 points and 67.8 average framerate in the first test; the second test, which might've been run with increased power or clocks, achieved 6800 points and 69.8 FPS on average. The first test's score (so, prior to any eventual overclocking) puts the RTX 3060's results 19% above those of the RTX 2060 (which scored 5,650 points) and even achieving a 7% performance advantage over the RTX 2070's 6,166 points.
