BitFenix Prodigy Pictured with Hardware Installed

Here are the first pictures of BitFenix Prodigy with compatible hardware installed. These pictures show that despite being designed for compact motherboard form-factors such as the mini-ITX, the Prodigy has plenty of room for a long graphics card (even the likes of Radeon HD 6990 will fit), and water-cooling hardware such as a 2x 120 mm radiator, pump, tubing, to support water-cooling of both the CPU and graphics card installed. Regardless, there's still room for large-sized tower-type CPU air cooler and dual-slot graphics card cooler, as the pictures below reveal.

BitFenix Shinobi ATX Mid-Tower Case Displayed

European PC components retailer Caseking.de posted an early video preview of BitFenix' next case, the Shinobi. This is an ATX Mid-Tower that looks to be positioned to hit a price sweetspot, and focuses on squeezing in the most in terms of features. Shinobi sports an all-black design (interior and exterior), with a "Soft Touch" coating the company toyed with on the Survivor (it's basically a thin rubberized layer). The case can accommodate three 5.25" drives, as many as eight 3.5" drives with a 2.5" adaptor; a standard sized ATX motherboard with holes at the right spots to ease cable and CPU cooler management.

Ventilation includes two 120 mm intakes in the front, a 120 mm side-panel intake, a 120 mm rear exhaust, and two 120 mm on top. Of these, fans are included for one front intake and one on the rear. Dust filters are in place for the front intakes and the PSU's intake at the bottom. The side panel sports a triangular window, while the rear features holes for water tubing. The utility panel is located on the top, and includes four USB 2.0 ports next to audio. Its price isn't out yet.

BitFenix Unleashes Colossus Venom and Window

Today, BitFenix released the Colossus Venom and Colossus Window, two new variants of its award-winning Colossus enthusiast full tower PC chassis. "After releasing Colossus, BitFenix fans from around the world offered their own personal suggestions on some new and interesting modifications for the full tower, and Colossus Venom and Colossus Window are the results of that feedback," says David Jarlestedt, BitFenix Product Manager. "With Colossus Venom and Colossus Window, we hope to appeal to an even broader number of users by offering a wider selection of chassis based on a proven design."

At this past Gamescom 2010, BitFenix demoed a Colossus with eerie green LED lighting, a striking design that turned many heads at Europe's largest video gaming show. After a flood of user emails asking if a green variant would be offered for sale, BitFenix decided to make it happen with Colossus Venom Edition. Colossus Venom Edition uses the same design as the original Colossus, but allows users to select between green or red lighting at the push of a button. This new color choice gives Colossus Venom Edition an ominous new look, perfect for intimidating the competition during late-night gaming sessions. Of course, all the original Colossus features have been retained, such as the proprietary BitFenix SofTouch coating, BitFenix S3 Storage Compartment, and two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, making Colossus Venom Edition the perfect chassis for the hardcore gaming enthusiast.

BitFenix Design Lab Officially Announces the Survivor Chassis

Today, BitFenix is pleased to launch Survivor - a mid-tower ATX gaming chassis that combines elegant styling with ruggedized features engineered for the mobile digital warrior. "We wanted to design a PC chassis that had ruggedized features, but didn't necessarily look like a tractor," says David Jarlestedt, BitFenix Product Manager. "Will you be able to throw it in front of a moving bus or down the stairs? No, but you won't have to worry about damaged hardware while driving to your friend's house or LAN party".

The unique curved design of Survivor isn't simply aesthetic. Extending past the side panels, this design helps to protect Survivor and the hardware inside during transport. The front, top and bottom of Survivor is coated with proprietary BitFenix SofTouch surface treatment, which helps protect these surfaces from stains and scratches, all while looking great. On the very front above the ODD bays is an LED-lit BitFenix logo, which users can turn on and off at a press of a button.

The lighting also has three selectable modes, including on, pulse, and off, giving users complete control over the ambience of their computing environment.

Bitfenix Jumps into the Scene with Two ATX Cases

PC case maker Bitfenix launched itself amidst quite some talk from the media. At the Computex event, it showed off two of its first products, the Colossus and Survivor. The Colossus is an ATX full-tower that marks a return to silvery-white On its exterior it sports wavy grooves that light up. The Front panel opens up as a door to reveal the five 5.25" drive bays, and front air-intakes. Common utilities such as front panel audio, USB and eSATA ports are right above the drive bays, though an additional set of USB ports are present in its top compartment. The top-compartment is a chamber that has a combi-lock protected lid. It has two USB ports inside, and can securely hold (and charge) devices such as smartphones, PMPs, and pocket-hard drives, which is of nice use in LAN parties. Grooves in the front-panel channel cables connected to front ports, and well as inside the secure chamber.

Internally the Colossus features an all-white interior, with seven 3.5"/2.5" drive bays, a motherboard tray that can hold EATX, ATX, m-ATX motherboards, and has 8 expansion bays, so a graphics card seated in the 7th expansion slot of a motherboard has room for its double-slot cooler. Ventilation includes front and top 140 mm fans, and a rear 120 mm fan, with four holes for water tubing. The next case, Survivor, is an all-black ATX mid-tower that has a strong frame, and an exterior that makes use of rubber and polycarbonate. The Rubber layers serve two purposes: noise dampening, and absorbing shocks in rough-handling during transportation. It has just three 5.25" drive bays, six 3.5/2.5" bays, and a front-panel located on the top, under a flap, with four USB, eSATA, and audio connectors.
