BitFenix Pandora ATX Case Detailed

BitFenix unveiled the Pandora ATX at Computex 2015. The case is a re-imagination of the original Pandora ITX case, launched last Computex, for the ATX form-factor. The Pandora ATX is scaled up in almost all ways to the original, and retains its styling. The case offers room for ATX and E-ATX motherboards, with eight expansion slot covers (so you can install a dual-slot graphics card on the bottom-most slot of your motherboard). There's room for CPU coolers as tall as 160 mm, graphics cards as long as 380 mm, and PSUs as long as 220 mm.

Storage spaces include two 3.5-inch, and three 2.5-inch internal drive bays. Cooling system is governed by a 4-channel PWM-based fan-controller, with a 2.8-inch TFT LCD display, giving you fan-speed and temperature readouts. Fan vents are aplenty, with two 140 mm (or three 120 mm) front intakes, two 140 mm (or three 120 mm) top exhausts; and a 120 mm rear exhaust. The front and top vents can each hold on to either a 3x 120 mm, or a 2x 140 mm radiator. Both these big vents have magnetic dust filters.

BitFenix Introduces the Pandora Micro ATX PC Chassis

With the release of the venerable Prodigy, BitFenix changed what people expected from compact cases by combining groundbreaking aesthetics with supreme functionality in a compact form factor. Today, the BitFenix Lab is releasing our latest achievement in chassis design - Pandora. Combining a fresh and clean modern look with never-before-seen functionality in a slim form factor, Pandora represents the next level of BitFenix case design.

The Journey
Nowadays, computers are not restricted to the study or computer room. With the advent of digital media and streaming services, more and more PCs are breaking free from their traditional computing environments and moving towards the living room.

BitFenix Fury Passes Intel Haswell Testing

The release of the Fury PSU Series has made serious waves in the hardware community with impressive power specifications and cables featuring all Alchemy sleeving. Another great benefit is high efficiency and cost savings, especially when paired with Intel's Haswell-class processors and their low-power sleep states. To ensure full compatibility with the latest hardware, BitFenix has worked closely with Intel to make sure that Fury delivers according to spec. After recent testing from the Intel labs, the BitFenix Fury PSU Series passed with flying colors, reaffirming their full compatibility with Intel Haswell C6/C7 sleep states.

Intel Haswell C6/C7 is a low-power state that is meant to lower power usage when the system is in sleep mode. The issue arises when certain power supplies are unable to provide a minimum load of 0.05 amps on the 12V2 rail, which can lead to stability issues. However, Fury PSUs are fully compatible with these sleep states, as the Intel testing labs have confirmed. See below for the Haswell test for the Fury 750G:

BitFenix Also Shows off its Aegis Micro-ATX Tower

In addition to the mini-ITX Pandora, and E-ATX Atlas, BitFenix also showed off its Aegis tower case. At 200 mm x 465 mm x 465 mm (WxDxH), it's roughly the size of an ATX mid-tower, but seats only micro-ATX and mini-ITX form-factor motherboards, much like the Phanteks Enthoo Mini XL. The case is built mostly of SECC steel and ABS plastic, with seven 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays, and a cooling system that includes three 120 mm front intakes (which can hold a 360 x 120 mm radiator), two 140 mm top exhausts (which can hold a 280 x 140 mm radiator), and one each 120 mm at the rear and bottom.

BitFenix Pandora and Atlas Pictured

Here are the first pictures of BitFenix' two new additions to its premium case lineup, the Pandora tower, and the Atlas cube. Pandora, like the Phanteks Enthoo Mini XL, is a 'case' of mistaken form-factor, in that it's designed for much smaller motherboards, but has the room to match up to a bigger one. The Pandora is designed for mini-ITX motherboards, but at 160 mm x 418 mm x 459 mm (WxDxH), is about the size of a micro-ATX tower. It lacks 5.25-inch drive bays, but has room for two each of 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives, a standard ATX PSU, and a ventilation system that includes two 120 mm front intakes, and two 120 mm rear exhausts. And yes, you can use them to latch on two 240 x 120 mm radiators.

The BitFenix Atlas, on the other hand, is a cubical case that's designed to compete with the likes of Corsair Carbide Air 540. It measures 383 mm x 443 mm x 541 mm (WxHxD), and is compartmentalized, much like Corsair's case. Its motherboard tray can seat E-ATX motherboards. There are no 5.25-inch drive bays, but a whopping ten 3.5-inch, and six 2.5-inch bays. Cooling system includes a staggering six 120 mm front intakes (can convert to four 140 mm), six 120 mm top exhausts (can convert to four 140 mm), a similar configuration at the bottom, and two 120 mm rear exhausts.
