A preview placard advertised that the best configuration could be powered by up an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Mobile GPU. At the time, company representatives did not disclose any pricing information.

Finalized units are pre-orderable at one retailer, according to reports from Friday—Proshop's listing reveals that customers in Denmark, Germany and Finland can purchase the top-end ASUS ROG NUC 14 configuration (RNUC14SRKU9189A2I) for €2499 (~$2724). NotebookCheck has discovered the existence of six different SKUs—on ASUS Spain's official website. Despite the diverse list of (apparent) options, ROG: "only really offers Core Ultra 7 155H and GeForce RTX 4060, or (the aforementioned) Core Ultra 9 185H and GeForce RTX 4070 spec. While pricing for the former remains unknown, Proshop is selling the latter with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage for €2499 in the Eurozone...Currently, Proshop expects to begin shipping ROG NUC orders from April 10, signalling an April 2024 global launch."

LG Electronics USA (LG) today announced pricing and availability of its 2024 premium lineup of laptops - the LG gram Pro and LG gram Pro 2-in-1. The 16- and 17-inch LG gram Pro models retail for $2399 (16Z90SP-A.ADB9U1) and $2499 (17Z90SP-E.ADB9U1) respectively while the CES 2024 Innovation Award-winning 16-inch gram Pro 2-in-1 (16T90SP-K.ADB9U1) retails for $2099. For a limited time, customers shopping on LG.com can pre-order the 16- and 17-inch LG gram Pro and 16-inch LG gram Pro 2-in-1.

Throughout the duration of the pre-order period from February 21, 2024, to March 10, 2024, customers will be able to purchase the 32 GB-RAM/2 TB-SSD LG gram Pro laptop for the price of a 16 GB-RAM/1 TB-SSD model of the same screen size. Intel Corporation today reported fourth-quarter and full-year 2023 financial results. "We delivered strong Q4 results, surpassing expectations for the fourth consecutive quarter with revenue at the higher end of our guidance," said Pat Gelsinger, Intel CEO. "The quarter capped a year of tremendous progress on Intel's transformation, where we consistently drove execution and accelerated innovation, resulting in strong customer momentum for our products. ZOTAC's new range of GeForce RTX 40 SUPER graphics cards have frequently hit headlines since an unveiling at CES 2024—the Hong Kong-headquarted hardware manufacturer set the tone early, with certain models sticking to NVIDIA guide prices. Hardware sleuth, momomo_us, has continued to keep track of ZOTAC-related activity—their latest discovery being the premature sale of GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Trinity Black Edition 16 GB models on Amazon USA. The listing popped up over the weekend, with customers greeted to a $899.99 asking price—so $100 above MSRP. It is clear that this product page was activated by mistake—the card is not available to purchase (at the time of writing).

VideoCardz proceeded to investigate further, following the initial find (courtesy of momomo_us)—their weekend sleuthing efforts have outed additional premature ZOTAC listings on Amazon.com. In the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER category we can see the AMP Extreme AIRO version ($1399.99), Trinity OC White Edition ($1349.99) and Trinity Black Edition ($1299.99). Moving down the line—with 4070 Ti SUPER cards—listings appeared for AMP HOLO ($969.99), Trinity OC White Edition ($939.99) and the aforementioned Trinity Black Edition (non-overclocked) coming in at $899.99. They also tracked down PNY's GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB XLR8 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X RGB graphics card—its Amazon price listing was reported as being a semi-wallet friendly $1049 (prior to deactivation).

ASRock showcased customized Radeon RX 7600 XT 16 GB GPU offerings at CES 2024—only a couple days after AMD's official unveiling of its expanded lower mid-range RDNA 3 line. ASRock was among a select few Team Red board partners with finalized units (based on Navi 33 XT) on display—it seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer is preparing for a retail launch of its Radeon RX 7600 XT Steel Legend 16 GB OC and Challenger 16 GB OC graphics card models. ASRock's website has been updated with product pages for the latest Radeon RX 7000-series entries, but press material for an imminent product launch has not been published (at the time of writing).

ASRock's mid-tier triple-fan Steel Legend and entry-level dual-fan Challenger designs are a familiar sight across the company's Radeon RX 7000 and 6000 product lines—last September, customized Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT models were unveiled as sporting these shrouds, along with higher-end Phantom Gaming OC options. A slightly overclocked Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU is not expected to be a heat producing monster, so expensive cooling solutions are not a necessity for a cost-conscious audience—likely targeting a decent level of 1080p gaming performance. The ASRock Radeon RX 7600 XT Challenger 16 GB OC model is expected to launch at an MSRP of $329 (AMD's official guide SEP), while the fancier Steel Legend OC is believed to be only marginally more expensive.

ASUS finalized its adoption of the Intel Next Unit of Computing (NUC) product lines at a special autumn 2023 handover event. A post-ceremony statement outlined the company's vision going forward: "ASUS kicked-off its NUC business and started to take orders for NUC 10th to 13th generation systems on September 1. The new business is generating a wide variety of exciting opportunities for the company and the transition has progressed smoothly for NUC customers. The vision of the newly established ASUS NUC BU is to provide the most impactive edge computing with comprehensive commercial and AIoT solutions that can sustain the industry and businesses." Just over a week ago, TechPowerUp was granted access to next generation NUC devices at CES 2024—including ROG NUC, as well as NUC 14 Pro and NUC 14 Pro+ models. Many folks in attendance noticed a complete absence of NUC Extreme products at the ASUS Las Vegas showroom.

Online publication, Fudzilla, has investigated this matter—Fuad Abazovic (Editor-in-Chief) managed to chase down an ASUS spokesperson. It seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer is integrating some if its best known branding into the NUC ecosystem, and Team Blue nomenclature is on the chopping block: "the company won't have an update to the NUC Extreme 7.5 liter device. The Raptor Canyon remains the last NUC of its kind, as ASUS has ROG Strix systems in the same ballpark. Fudzilla already covered the announcement of the NUC and NUC pro, and the ROG NUC. We were assured that the 2.5L ROG NUC will remain the fastest gaming-oriented device and that, at this plan, the company doesn't plan to develop the successor of NUC Extreme 7.5 liter. ASUS has announced ROG Strix G16CHR, its 7.5-liter desktop that comes with an air and water cooler and hosts up to Intel Core i7-14700KF Processor 3.4 GHz (33M Cache, up to 5.5 GHz, 20 cores), NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB GDDR6X 3x DP, 2x HDMI, and up to 64 GB RAM in 4x DDR5 U-DIMM slots."

In a surprising turn of events, SK Hynix has hinted at the possibility of the Compression Attached Memory Module (CAMM) standard, initially designed for laptops, being introduced to desktop PCs. This revelation came from a comment made by an SK Hynix representative at the CES 2024 in Las Vegas for the Korean tech media ITSubIssub. According to the SK Hynix representative, the first implementation is underway, but there are no specific details. CAMM, an innovative memory standard developed by Dell in 2022, was certified to replace SO-DIMM as the official standard for laptop memory. However, the transition to desktop PCs could significantly disrupt the desktop memory market. The CAMM modules, unlike the vertical DRAM sticks currently in use, are horizontal and are screwed into a socket. This design change would necessitate a complete overhaul of the desktop motherboard layout.

The thin, flat design of the CAMM modules could also limit the number that can be installed on an ATX board. However, the desktop version of the standard CAMM2 was announced by JEDEC just a month ago. It is designed for DDR5 memory, but it is expected to become mainstream with the introduction of DDR6 around 2025. While CAMM allows for higher speeds and densities for mobile memory, its advantages for desktops over traditional memory sticks are yet to be fully understood. Although low-power CAMM modules could offer energy savings, this is typically more relevant for mobile devices than desktops. As we move towards DDR6 and DDR7, more information about CAMM for desktops will be needed to understand its potential benefits. JEDEC's official words on the new standard indicate that "DDR5 CAMM2s are intended for performance notebooks and mainstream desktops, while LPDDR5/5X CAMM2s target a broader range of notebooks and certain server market segments." So, we can expect to see CAMM2 in both desktops and some server applications.

The dust has barely settled after MSI's unveiling of their Claw A1M handheld gaming PC at last week's CES event, but discussions have already started regarding a potential successor. The Taiwanese multinational technology company appears keen to jump into an emerging market—Valve, ASUS ROG, Lenovo and a slew of smaller manufacturers have launched handheld gaming devices. The Claw stands out due to its unusual choice of SoC—an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H APU that deploys an 8-core Arc Xe-LPG iGPU—while everyone else has pretty much sided with AMD. IGN cornered Clifford Chun (MSI's System Product Managing Director) at CES 2024, where he was grilled on the topic of potential future iterations including spec upgrades and OLED displays: "So, just like our laptops, our aim for users who use this will be roughly two to three years because game titles demand a lot more every two or three years. So, at least minimum, that kind of stuff. Obviously, if you play retro games, you can play MSI Claw for 10 years."

Chun continued that line of thought: "So, this will be only the first version of our Claw. We are anticipating to come out version 2, version 3, version 4 down the road and it's already in the pipeline." Gaming hardware detectives posit, given the 2-3 year gap between models, that the next version of MSI's handheld gaming device could debut with Intel Panther Lake and Arc Xe 3 "Celestial" internals. When quizzed about future release windows, Chun did not commit to anything firm: "It really depends on, for example, the CPU or a graphic upgrade down the road. So, just keep in mind, and then just check it out. When something like this happens, do a refresh, and then you will anticipate that MSI will come out with something similar."

NVIDIA revealed basic price guides for GeForce RTX-40 SUPER graphics cards at the recently concluded CES 2024 trade show, but their board partners largely stayed coy about figures for customized options (review embargoes will be lifted soon). ZOTAC broke the mold later on in the week, with press material updated to reflect that non-overclocked models will adhere to Team Green's basic MSRP. However, premium charges for overclocked SUPER Twin Edge OC, AMP HOLO, Trinity OC and AMP Extreme AIRO cards remain a mystery. VideoCardz decided to conduct some weekend detective work, and fiddled around on Newegg and Best Buy online stores—although the focus shifted to other brands/manufacturers.

Workaround methods were implemented in order to prematurely extract card prices, before NVIDIA's staggered schedule of reveals for customized versions of the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER GPUs (throughout January). The leaked results show that GIGABYTE and PNY have custom overclocked GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER models targeting base MSRP at $599, while MSI has several options exceeding that base level—ranging from $10 to $50 premiums. GIGABYTE's GAMING OC card also tops the table at $649. Jumping up to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER tier, we see a GIGABYTE Gaming OC model sitting at $849.99 and an MSI VENTUS 3X OC going for $899.99. The sole custom GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER within the VideoCardz article appears to be an MSI VENTUS 3X OC; we are witnessing a $100 extra tacked on for this design.

NVIDIA has recently revised its specification sheet for the upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER GPU—a small mistake was included in their review guide and marketing material. Team Green workers were likely in a rush to get everything ready for RTX 40xx SUPER range's official unveiling at CES 2024, so a typo here and there is not unexpected. The RTX 4070 SUPER's AD104 GPU configuration was advertised as offering a 20% core count upgrade over the vanilla RTX 4070 (non-SUPER), but detail sensitive sleuths were somewhat puzzled with the SUPER's L2 cache designation of 36 MB. Various 2023 leaks suggested that 48 MB was the correct value; representing a 33% jump up from the standard 4070's L2 pool. We must note that TPU's GPU database had the correct spec entry since day one.

OSIM, the Singapore-based maker of massage chairs and wellness products, unveiled two innovative new massage chairs at CES 2024—the uLove 3 Yellow and the uThrone V Yellow. The uLove 3 Yellow builds upon OSIM's popular uLove series, featuring 18 patented massage technologies for a customized and therapeutic experience. Key highlights include the V-Hand Plus system, which mimics a masseuse's techniques to target knots and tension, air pressure massage to relax the body, and foot reflexology rollers. However, OSIM has entered the arena of massage chairs for gamers and esports enthusiasts. The company presented the uThrone V Yellow massage gaming chair. Monokei is not a well-known name on the keyboard market, but its latest Monokei Systems certainly caught our attention at the CES 2024 show in Las Vegas. In addition to the new Monokei Systems, which is a modular low-profile mechanical keyboard, the company had its previous Monokei Standard keyboard on display as well, in both standard and Yuji and Megumi Edition designed by Jujutsu Kaisen.

As said, the star of the show is the Monokei Systems, a low-profile, modular, mechanical and wireless 75% keyboard with a choice between Kailh Choc v2 Silent or Choc v2 Tactile switches. The modular part is quite interesting as you can change pretty much everything, including switches, keycaps, gasket socks, top and bottom case and faceplate, all aluminium, can be easily replaced as these are held magnetically. You can even replace a PCB, which means endless possibilities and future upgrades. Monokei also offers new Series 2 keycaps as an optional purchase. The standard options are Cupertino Silver and Stockholm Night colors. As it is a 75% design there are no special keys other than a dial up knob.

Cooler Master's research and design team seems to be up to all sorts of shenanigans lately—company representatives at CES 2024 had the joyful experience of hyping up a curiosity/prototype bearing the moniker "Project VGA Cooler." It certainly is a tough sell to explain to punters how an aftermarket part can usurp the performance offered by a manufacturer's standard fitting of triple-fan arrays on already pricey custom high-end GeForce RTX 40xx cards. The plucky Project VGA Cooler was showcased in white or dark silver forms, accompanied by twin Mobius 120 mm fans. The spec sheet states that these utilize special loop dynamic bearings, although we are not certain whether the special Mobius fans are customized for this project specifically.

TPU staff witnessed an ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 TUF graphics card getting the refit treatment—its original triple-fan array was removed, and the experimental aftermarket part was attached to the TUF's remaining heatsink and shroud. Cooler Master's demonstration proceeded smoothly, but this publication questions whether these prototype GPU cooling units are truly prepared for a universal fit across a wide variety of expensive current generation GeForce RTX models, or Radeon RX equivalents. Cooler Master's design team likely has to be careful in choosing specific or popular GPU models, once "Project VGA Cooler" exits the conceptual phase of development and approaches final retail form.

MSI and CAPCOM announced a Monster Hunter-themed product partnership last week—this popular Japanese-made gaming franchise is celebrating its twentieth year in 2024. As promised in last week's declaration, MSI managed to exhibit their concept prototypes at an exclusive booth, in close proximity to everything else they had going on at the Las Vegas Convention Center. TPU staffers had a lot of items on their proverbial plates chez MSI, so not everything MH 20th Anniv. related was captured in glorious detail.

The MSI MPG GUNGNIR 300 Monster Hunter Edition case was prominently placed at the front of MSI's special booth; TPU was surprised to see that a full system had been put together inside of it. Naturally, franchise-themed hardware was visible through a glass side panel—including MH-themed case fans. The fully operational gaming system was hooked up to a MAG 274QRF QD E2 Monster Hunter Edition gaming monitor.

Cooler Master presented its upcoming MasterKeys hybrid wireless gaming keyboard at CES 2024—the MK770 was debuted at last year's event, but has not reached retail in the iterim period. A variety of chassis and keycap color sets were showcased at CES '23, but that tally has decreased at Cooler Master's 2024 convention exhibit—Space Gray and Macaron are the two consolidated choices. The feature set presented a year ago seems to be largely intact—TPU noted that the MK770 is still advertised as having a hot-swappable mechanical switch system, gasket structure (for noise and vibration reduction), coupled with a noise-absorbing design plus silicone dampers. Kailh Box V2 switches are part of this customizable package, plus US and TC regional versions will get high-purity PBT double shot keycaps, for increased durability and long-lasting colors.

The MasterMouse MM712 Wired Gaming mouse also made a re-appearance at CES 2024. We last witnessed this small + lightweight (sub 50 grams) pointing device at Cooler Master's Computex 2023 booth, alongside its fancier MM712 PRO wireless sibling. The wired version sits alone at this year's event; we are not sure why the PRO version is absent. The MM712 Wired is presented as a permanently Ultraweaved cable-equipped alternative to Cooler Master's existing MM712 hybrid model, although the shell and main buttons have been redesigned to eliminate uncomfortable pinching of skin. The spec sheet confirms that Pixart's top-flight PAW3395 optical sensor has been integrated into the MM712 Wired, granting a maximum 26,000 DPI setting.

Cooler Master has showcased a wide variety of new case designs, as well refreshed versions of enthusiast favorites at CES 2024—the NR200P Vision was given special placement on a purple lit podium. This striking revisement of CM's original NR200P model presents itself as a futuristic concept—a crowd of attendees was drawn to this compact spectacle. The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer made some room at their booth for another NR200-series refresh—a NR200P V2 model was presented in black or white options. Past feedback has been taken onboard; the chassis design team has made sure to update the front I/O panel with a much requested USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type C port (offering up to 20 Gb/s transfer speeds). It seems that the NR200P Vision has received the same front-facing connectivity treatment.

Chinese consumer electronics giant Hisense showcased its latest audio-visual innovations at the 2024 CES show in Las Vegas this week. The company unveiled massive, ultra-high-end televisions as well as advances in its Laser TV lineup. Headlining Hisense's CES showcase was the 110UX, a 110-inch television with 40,000 backlighting zones and a searing 10,000 nits peak brightness. With unmatched contrast and brightness, Hisense calls it one of the most impressive 100+ inch TVs ever made. Also on display was the 98UX, a 98-inch set capable of 144 Hz refresh rates alongside over 10,000 local dimming zones. Beyond these flagship models, Hisense also introduced its thinnest Mini LED TV to date - the 75UX. At just 14 millimeters thin, Hisense claims it sets a new industry benchmark for slim design without compromising picture quality.

Pro gamers are in consensus - a tournament-ready mouse needs to be responsive, comfortable and offer long battery life. We pushed the limits in these areas then combined them with thoughtful conveniences to make the Alienware Pro Mouse a great choice for anyone - from esports athletes to tech enthusiasts. We started by packing the Pro Mouse with the highest performance components. You are probably familiar with DPI, but another key performance characteristic is polling rate. Polling rate is the frequency in which data is sent from a mouse to a device.

Besides bringing out new feature updates to its Boreas line of air coolers, GAMDIAS showcased its latest AIO liquid CPU coolers, the Aura GL V2 series, and the Chione P3 series. The Chione P3 series features an innovative pump-block design that features a small ~60 mm fan that generates some airflow around the CPU socket, to help cool the VRM heatsinks, memory modules, and the NVMe SSD closest to it. Right above this fan, suspended on armatures is a round LCD display that displays coolant temperature by default, but can be made to display just about anything, using the Chione Cast app. The Chione P3 comes in two sizes—240 mm (P3-240U), and 360 mm (P3-360U). The P3 series also introduces an updated hydraulic bearing PWM fan, and Teflon-coated coolant tubes.

The Aura GL V2 series are positioned to be a little more affordable than the Chione P3 series, There are several improvements to the V2 over the original Aura series, such as an updated pump with a 12-slot, 10-pole motor, an updated copper cold-plate, an updated coolant channel, cable concealment, and some design touch-ups, such as the ability to rotate the top plate of the pump-block. The Aura GL V2 series comes in 360 mm, 240 mm, and 120 mm sizes; and their sub-variants of black and white.

The TechPowerUp team visited the EK water blocks booth at the CES 2024 international show. We previously covered the company's latest direct-die all-in-one (AIO) water cooler, but many more products were on display. First in line is EK's Quantum-X NoCase chassis, which contradicts traditional PC enclosures with its open, no outer shell design. This radical departure from convention results in a nearly invisible frame crafted from aluminium for a featherlight weight of approximately 3 pounds. Its design is meticulously engineered to be as airy and lightweight as possible without compromising the support needed for essential hardware and liquid cooling components. The case integrates the advanced Reflection² distro plate, equipped with dual D5 pumps to facilitate separate cooling loops for both the CPU and GPU, ensuring optimal thermal management in a minimalist aesthetic.

During the CES 2024 show, EK unveiled an exciting new addition to their premium all-in-one (AIO) CPU cooler lineup—the EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Direct Die D-RGB. As the name suggests, this new 360 mm AIO water cooler is purpose-built for direct die cooling of delidded Intel LGA1700 CPUs. The EK-Nucleus Direct Die stands out with its custom cold plate and mounting mechanism, which are exclusively engineered for exposed CPU dies. The nickel-plated copper base ensures compatibility with liquid metal TIMs like the included Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut, which comes in the package. EK has worked with der8auer to provide delidding service kits and tools to facilitate easy DIY removal of the integrated heat spreader (IHS).

The package also contains a contact frame and protective foam for safe liquid metal application. At the heart of the cooler is a powerful AIO pump EK co-developed with the OEM manufacturer, meaning it is not an off-the-shelf pump found in other AIOs and is capable of up to 500 L/h flow rate. The reinforced, sleeved rubber tubing is fitted with aluminium covers for durability. Integrated omnilink connectors allow daisy chaining of the three included 120 mm D-RGB fans for cable management. The EK-Nucleus Direct Die offers extensive RGB lighting customization with illuminated circle accents on the removable pump top covers. The diamond-cut brushed aluminium side panels and radiator cowl add to the premium aesthetic. The new AIO will be available for the Intel LGA1700 platform, with hopefully more versions later. The EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Direct Die D-RGB is now available for pre-order at €202.90 MSRP price tag.
