ECS Introduces the Z87H3-M Motherboard

ECS is pleased to announce the Z87H3-M, the smartest Z87 MicroATX motherboard choice on the market for high-end gamers. The Z87H3-M is packed with features that enhance the gaming experience out of the box and provides a future upgrade path, all while still being affordable price.

This is an ECS Durathon board, which means it has the Triple Density moisture-proof PCB, ultra-high Extreme Temperature Resistance, and extra-stringent testing. ECS Z87H3-M features 100% durable, heat-resistant solid capacitors for an ultra-long, stable life, even with the serious electrical and thermal demands of the latest gaming hardware. Solid capacitors typically provide a lifetime 6 times longer than the electrolytic capacitors used in lower-quality products. Meanwhile external connectors, such as VGA, USB and LAN ports, feature heavy-duty ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection, to protect delicate internal components from static and other electrical disturbances.

ECS DURATHON Technology Introduction- Extreme Temperature Resistance

According to the research, a high percentage of short circuit, system instability, and burn out are caused by the physical environment, which can be referred to extremely hot or cold environment. ECS motherboards with Durathon Technology have been tested under extreme operating conditions with wide range temperature standard, which adopts 50% more stringent temperature test than normal industry standard, significantly improving the lifespan and reliability of the entire motherboard.

Ultra Wide Band Temperature Range
Durathon Technology offers the Extreme Temperature Resistance range from 50 ˚C to - 10 ˚C, which is 10˚C higher and lower than the competitors' motherboard test, offering 50% more stringent temperature test than industrial standard. With an ultra-wide band temperature range, ECS motherboards with Durathon Technology can effectively reduce the PCB warping and the stress for the motherboards due to drastic temperature fluctuations in cold environment. For the high temperature resistance to 50 ˚C, rather than 40 ˚C, Durathon Technology is more capable of ensuring the stability and durability of the system since the average PC operating temperature is around 40 ˚C~45 ˚C, which is higher than the average boundary of 40˚C.

ECS DURATHON Technology Introduction

Many researchers have pointed out that moisture is one of the key factors that would affect your PC longevity. To avoid short circuit, system instability, or even burn out malfunction caused by humid conditions, ECS Durathon Technology goes above and beyond industry standards and uses the highest quality components for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) to ensure that your motherboard can now deliver the stability, reliability and performance that we promise.

Damp Proof
ECS Durathon Technology certified Triple Density PCB adopts highest level Bi-Directional Splitting Glass Fabric, which is 3 times more effective humidity protection than general glass fabric and delivers a hassle free computing experience by solving common PC hardware problems before they can even occur.

Did ECS Just Blurt Out Names of 8-Series Motherboards?

ECS has less than stable RSS and media channels (to our advantage). It may have accidentally blurted out model names of at least three upcoming Intel 8-series chipset based motherboards, for socket LGA1150 Core "Haswell" processors. Among the three are Z87H3-AX Extreme, Z87H3-AX Golden, and H87H3-M4. The two Z87H3-AX motherboards, going by the company's current 7-series chipset motherboard lineup, appear to be identical, with the Z87H3-AX Golden pimping out with gold-colored components and heatsinks. The boards will likely max out the feature-set of Intel's "Lynx Point" chipset family. The Z87 PCH succeeds the current Z77, in supporting overclocking, in addition to all features of the platform, including Small Business Advantage. The H87H3-M4 sounds like the name typically given by ECS to a micro-ATX motherboard based on the H87 chipset. H87 supports nearly every feature the Z87 does, except CPU overclocking.

ECS Unveils NM70-TI Slim Mini-ITX Motherboard

ECS unveiled the NM70-TI, a slim Mini-ITX variant of the NM70-I, which was launched in October. The board is designed for extremely compact chassis, perhaps even those meant for nettops that latch onto monitors using VESA wall mounts. The board stays low profile thanks to a dense aluminum fin fan-heatsink, half-height connectors, and SO-DIMM memory slots that are arranged almost along the plane of the motherboard.

The NM70-TI integrates an Intel Celeron 807 single-core 1.50 GHz processor (Celeron 847 dual-core option available), wired to its low board-footprint NM70 PCH. In addition to two SATA 6 Gb/s ports, the board features a SATA 3 Gb/s, and an mSATA 3 Gb/s slot. The lone bus expansion slot is an mPCIe. D-Sub and HDMI make up display outputs. Gigabit Ethernet, and a few USB 2.0/1.1 ports on the rear panel, and by headers, make for the rest of it. The board is driven by UEFI BIOS. More details are awaited.

ECS Launches the Z77H2-A5X Deluxe Motherboard with Thunderbolt Support

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) today reveals its first motherboard with Thunderbolt support, the Brand-New Black Series Z77H2-A5X Deluxe, based on the new Intel Z77 chipset. The Black Deluxe Series was created with power users and overclockers in mind. The Z77H2-A5X Deluxe embodies these qualities by providing all solid capacitors, triple thickness gold plating and overclocking friendly heatsinks and heatpipes.

The Z77H2-A5X Deluxe combines the latest motherboard technology with the above industry quality control standards set by ECS on the Black Series.

ECS Intros H61H2-MV Compact Micro-ATX Motherboard

Several high-end mini-ITX cases these days ship with two expansion slot bays. To take advantage of that, ECS introduced the H61H2-MV. The company was careful enough to label it a micro-ATX motherboard, although its PCB length and mounting screw layout is suggestive that you could install in on one of those high-end mini-ITX cases, and end up with two expansion slots to play with. Sadly for ECS, this socket LGA1155 motherboard is based on entry-level Intel H61 Express chipset, with extremely basic connectivity.

The LGA1155 socket is powered by a 3+1+1 phase VRM, it is wired to two DDR3 DIMM slots, supporting up to 16 GB of dual-channel DDR3-1600 MHz memory; and a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot. The second expansion slot on the board is a PCI-Express 2.0 x1, wired to the PCH. There's enough room on the board to wire out all four SATA 3 Gb/s ports from the PCH as internal ports. Connectivity includes 6-channel HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, and D-Sub display output. Some variants are said to come with DVI and HDMI display outputs. The board is driven by UEFI BIOS. Expect its price to be well under $100.

ECS Outs HDC-I2/E-350D Mini-ITX Motherboard

ECS rolled out the HDC-I2/E-350D2, a mini-ITX motherboard running AMD E-350D APU, and AMD A45 FCH chipset. Designed for nettops and HTPCs (supports 1080p video playback), the HDC-I2/E-350D supports up to 8 GB of DDR3-1066 MHz memory, and features a legacy PCI slot. It draws power from a single 24-pin ATX connector. Because it uses the cheaper A45 FCH, it features just two SATA 3 Gb/s ports. Display connectivity includes DVI and HDMI. 6-channel HD audio and gigabit Ethernet make for the rest of it. ECS is including coupons to Cyberlink MediaExpresso 5.1 LE and MediaShow 5.1 LE. Expect it to go for under $100.
