AAEON Leverages NXP i.MX 8M Plus Platform for New PICO-ITX and Mini PC Solutions with NPU

Industry leader AAEON has expanded its RISC computing product portfolio with the release of the SRG-IMX8PL and PICO-IMX8PL, a Mini PC and 2.5" PICO-ITX board, respectively. Both products are powered by the NXP i.MX 8M Plus platform, featuring a quad-core Arm Cortex -A53 processor with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) operating at up to 2.3 TOPS.

Built to provide cost-efficient IoT Gateway solutions in rugged environments, the SRG-IMX8PL and PICO-IMX8PL both offer wide temperature ranges of -40°C to 80°C with the use of a fanless heatsink, a 9 V to 36 V power input range. The SRG-IMX8PL Mini PC also features enhanced shock, drop, and vibration resistance. Dual LAN ports with IEEE 1588 and TSN capabilities, alongside Wi-Fi and 4G module support via M.2 2230 E-Key and full-size mini card, provide each device with broad connectivity options for industrial IoT use. Additionally, both the PICO-IMX8PL and SRG-IMX8PL support a wide range of operating systems, including Debian 11, Android 13, Windows 10 IoT, and Yocto, as well as data communication protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, and OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA).

AAEON Unveils the UP Xtreme 7100 Mini PC

AAEON's UP brand, renowned for producing sophisticated developer boards with industrial-grade specifications, has announced the release of the UP Xtreme 7100, an all-in-one robotics solution available as both a single-board and Mini PC. Both the UP Xtreme 7100 and its system-level counterpart, the UP Xtreme 7100 Edge, are available in SKUs powered by Intel Core i3-N305 or Intel Processor N97 CPUs, chosen due to their balance of low power consumption and high performance. The platform consequently provides the sensor data processing, integrated graphics, and resources required for path planning and control algorithms needed to bring AGV, AGV + AI, and AMR solutions to market.

Consistent with previous product lines from AAEON's UP Division, the UP Xtreme 7100 and UP Xtreme 7100 Edge are built on compact form factors in order to address space restraints. Consequently, the UP Xtreme 7100 board-level solution measures just 120.35 mm x 122.5 mm, while the edge system version comes in at 152 mm x 124 mm x 40 mm. Targeting areas in robotics such as AGV and AMR, the UP Xtreme 7100 and UP Xtreme 7100 Edge are equipped with a number of terminal blocks for serial communication, along with a 30-pin board-to-board connector that offers digital I/O, GPIO, and isolated RS-232/422/485 function. Further, CAN 2.0B, a DIP switch, and LED indicators are onboard to make the solution conducive to establishing communication with other devices on the CANBus network.

AAEON Launches MIX-ALND1, Intel Processor N-series Powered Mini-ITX for Gaming, Machine Automation, and Kiosk Solutions

AAEON, a leading producer of industrial motherboards, has released the MIX-ALND1, a versatile Mini-ITX board that supports Intel Processor N-series CPUs. AAEON Announces Official Support for NVIDIA Ubuntu, Jetpack 4.5 and Secureboot on BOXER-8200 Systems

AAEON, an industry leader in embedded AI Edge systems, announces new software support for the BOXER-8200 series of embedded PCs featuring NVIDIA Jetson System on Modules (SOM). AAEON has officially signed an agreement with Canonical to provide customers with the NVIDIA Ubuntu operating system pre-installed on new BOXER-8200 systems. Mushkin at CES 2020: EON and EON Pro NVMe SSDs, Source Q SSD, CarbonX External SSD, and Blackline RGB Memory

Mushkin at CES 2020 showcased their latest products, both in the storage or random access memory space. Starting with the NVMe products, the EON NVMe SSD will be available in capacities starting at 500 GB through 4 TB, and make use of 3D TLC NAND paired with Silicon Motion's SM2267 controller. It's a PCIe 4.0 x4 affair in the M.2 2280 form-factor, with built-in LDPC ECC technology. The company is quoting speeds up to 4 GB/s read and up to 3 GB/s writes, with up to 400K IOPS on either case. The EON Pro upgrades both storage capacity (available in up to a whopping 16 TB density) and speeds, leveraging Silicon Motion's SM 2264 controller. Sequential reads and writes are quoted at 6.4 GB/s and 3.9 GB/s, respectively, with 700K IOPS on both scenarios.

The Source Q, on the other hand, is a 2.5" SATA SSD, and keeps the Silicon Motion trend going with the company's SM2259XT controller. It offers up to 560 MB/s reads and 515 MB/s writes, with up to 95K read IOPS and 86K write IOPS. It will only be available in 500 GB through 2 TB capacities, which goes to show how Mushkin is prioritizing demand for their NVMe drives.
