Green House Unveils New, Phison-Powered Solid State Drive

Japanese company Green House today announced a new, NAND-based storage solution, the GH-SSD32C Series solid state drive. Seen below, the upcoming SSD features a 2.5-inch form factor, MLC NAND Flash memory, a Phison PS3108-S8 controller, 256 MB or 512 MB of cache (256 MB for te 60 GB and 120 GB models, 512 MB for the 240 GB and 480 GB drives), and SATA 6.0 Gbps connectivity. Speed wise, the drives are said to deliver up to 520 MB/s when reading and 100/210/470/500 MB/s while writing for the 60/120/240/480 GB capacities.

The GH-SSD32C drives are backed by a three-year warranty and are set to become available around mid-September.

Green House Debuts a New Line of CFast 2.0 Memory Cards

Japanese company Green House Inc. today announced its latest, industrial-grade storage offering, the GH-CFS-NMB series CF 2.0 memory cards. Going from 4 GB to 64 GB, these cards feature MLC NAND Flash chips, a JMicron controller, ECC, bad block management, and are able to operate at 0 to 70 degrees Celsius.

The 4 GB model is the slowest, offering read/write speeds of 107/11 MB/s, while the 8 GB tops 132/21 MB/s, the 16 GB 256/39 MB/s, the 32 GB 312/85 MB/s and the 64 GB 312/153 MB/s. All five cards are backed by a three-year warranty.

Green House Releases the GH-PCFA12 Notebook Cooler

Japan's own Green House Inc. has now made available a new notebook cooling solution, the GH-PCFA12. This latest stand/cooler combo measures 140 x 140 x 18 mm, it weighs 710 grams, it can be used with 12- to 17-inch laptops and has a metal plate for better heat dissipation, one 140 mm fan working at 800 to 1350 RPM, a dual-port USB 2.0 hub, and two-step retractable feet.

The GH-PCFA12 costs 3,974 yen (~ 39 USD).

Green House Announces Flash Drive with USB and Micro USB Connectivity

Green House has now officially embraced the newfound trend of making flash drives with both USB and micro USB ports. The Japanese company's dual-interface offering is called PicoDrive Smart and it has a full-size USB connector supporting the USB 3.0 interface, and a micro USB (2.0) port.

The PicoDrive Smart measures 37.3 x 12.3 x 4.6 mm, it comes with a one-year warranty and is selling in 8 GB (1,980 yen / ~ 19 USD), 16 GB (2,980 yen / ~ 28 USD) and 32 GB (4,980 yen / ~ 47 USD) capacities.

Green House Releases 51-in-1 Media Card Reader

To help people find their way through the labyrinth of media card formats Green House has developed and launched a reader claimed to support no less than 51 storage offerings. Dubbed GH-CRM1A-BK, the reader measures 69.2 x 42.2 x 13.6 mm, it has a USB 2.0 interface (USB 3.0 would have been nice) and supports SD, SDHC, SDXC, miniSD, microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC, MMC, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro-Duo, Memory Stick micro and Compact Flash cards.

The GH-CRM1A-BK is backed by a one-year warranty and costs 980 yen (~ 10 USD).

Green House Releases New, Speedy SDXC Memory Cards

Green House has now rolled out a new line of high-speed SDXC memory cards, the GH-SDXCUA Series. These 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB cards make use of MLC Flash memory, they have an UHS-I rating and are capable of transfer speeds of up to 40/12 MB/s (read/write), 60/40 MB/s, and 78/50 MB/s, respectively.

The GH-SDXCUA Series SDXC cards are backed by a three-year warranty and cost 18,800 yen / ~ 188 USD (64 GB), 21,800 yen / ~ 218 USD (128 GB) and 49,800 yen / ~ 499 USD (256 GB).

Green House Also Readies mSATA and Half-Slim Phison-Based Solid State Drives

In addition to the 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch models mentioned earlier, Green House's new line of Phison controller-equipped solid state drives includes a trio of compact solutions, the mSATA GH-SSD3MA Series (SATA 6.0 Gbps) and GH-SSD2MA Series (SATA 3.0 Gbps) and the Half-Slim SATA 6.0 Gbps GH-SSD3HA Series.

These SSDs make use of MLC Flash memory, have a three-year warranty, and come in 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB capacities. The GH-SSD3MA and Gbps GH-SSD3HA models can reach speeds of up to 470/160 MB/s (read/write) while the GH-SSD2MA units top 200/120 MB/s. The drives will go on sale at the end of this month.

Green House Unveils 2.5-inch, 1.8-inch Phison-Powered Solid State Drives

Japanese company Green House has today announced multiple solid state drives based around controllers from Taiwan-based Phison Electronics. Among the models presented are the GH-SSD32B Series (2.5-inch form factor / SATA 6.0 Gbps interface), the GH-SSDP2A Series (2.5-inch / PATA) and GH-SSD21A Series (1.8-inch SATA 3.0 Gbps).

The GH-SSD32B line includes 60 GB, 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB units that utilize MLC NAND Flash memory and deliver speeds of up to 520/420 MB/s (reading/writing). The GH-SSDP2A SSDs reach 80/60 MB/s (reading/writing) and come in 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB flavors, while the GH-SSD21A family tops 200/120 MB/s (read/write) and goes from 32 GB to 128 GB. All these SSDs have a three-year warranty and are set to become available at the end of this month.

Green House Readies New, 20-Inch LCD Monitor

Later this month Green House is set to expand its monitor lineup through the release of the GH-AAG203SDL, a power-efficient 20-inch model which is edge-lit by a white LED backlight. This unit has a maximum power consumption of 30 W and features a native resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, a 5 ms response time, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (dynamic contrast ratio tops 5,000,000:1), dual 2 W speakers, and D-Sub and DVI inputs.

The GH-AAG203SDL is backed by a three-year warranty and will be available in both black and white.

Green House Unveils the PicoDrive D3 USB 3.0 Flash Drive

Japanese company Green House has now introduced a new, high speed flash drive, the PicoDrive D3. This model measures 55.8 (W) x 18 (D) x 9 (H) mm, it weighs 30 grams, it has a metal body, USB 3.0 connectivity, and delivers read speeds of up to 180 MB/s and write speeds of up to 90 MB/s (the 64 GB unit tops 90 MB/s, while the 32 and 16 GB drives reach 45 MB/s and 25 MB/s, respectively).

The 16 GB, 32 GB and 63 GB PicoDrive D3s have a one year warranty and cost around $40, $50 and $81, respectively.

Green House Intros New Class-10 128GB SD Card

Japanese storage company Green House launched a new 128-gigabyte Class-10 SDXC memory card, the GH-SDXCUB128G. This SDXC UHS-I compatible card offers read speeds of up to 45 MB/s, and writes of up to 12 MB/s, that are guaranteed to stay above 10 MB/s, to help with scenarios such as burst photography and high-bitrate HD video recording. Measuring an industry-standard 24 x 32 x 2.1 mm, it weighs 2 g. Backed by a 3-year warranty, it is priced at 12,800¥ (about $130), in Japan.

Green House Announces PicoDrive J3 Line of USB 3.0 Flash Drives

Japanese peripherals maker Green House rolled out the PicoDrive J3 line of USB 3.0 flash drives. Available in 8 GB (GH-UFD3-8GJ), 16 GB (GH-UFD3-16GJ), 32 GB (GH-UFD3-32GJ), 64 GB (GH-UFD3-64GJ), and 128 GB (GH-UFD3-128GJ) capacities, the drives are built in the slider form-factor, with a retractable USB connector. The drives are said to utilize a dual-channel MLC NAND architecture, which delivers read speeds of up to 150 MB/s, and write speeds of up to 36 MB/s (128 GB and 64 GB), or 22 MB/s (32 GB), or 11 MB/s (8 GB and 16 GB). Measuring 59.5 x 21.6 x 10.0 mm (WxDxH), the drives weigh about 15 g. They will be released to the markets in Q2-2013.

Green House Announces GH-SSD22A SSD

Japanese company Green House announced the GH-SSD22A line of consumer SSDs in the 2.5-inch (9.5 mm-thick) SATA form-factor. Available in 32 GB (GH-SSD22A32), 64 GB (GH-SSD22A64), 128 GB (GH-SSD22A128), and 256 GB (GH-SSD22A256) capacities, the drives are based on Phison PS3107-S7 controller platform, with MLC NAND flash memory. The SATA 3 Gb/s capable drives feature 200 MB/s sequential read speeds, with up to 140 MB/s writes. Most common consumer SSD features, including TRIM, NCQ, 48-bit/1KB ECC, and SMART are available. The GH-SSD22A drives are expected to occupy entry-level price points with about $0.75/GB.

Green House's 64 GB microSDXC is bundled with an SD adapter and costs about $151.

Green House Unveils Three New CFast Memory Card Series

Japanese company Green House has today announced not one but three families of industrial-grade CFast memory cards, the SLC-based GH-CFS-NSA and GH-CFS-XSA, and the MLC-based GH-CFS-NMA. All three series make use of a JMicron controller and comply with the CFast Specification v1.0.

The models equipped with SLC NAND Flash have a MTBF of up to 4 million hours and deliver read/write speeds of up to 130/110 MB/s, while the MLC-powered cards have a 3 million-hour MTBF and top 130/120 MB/s when reading/writing (speeds vary with capacity).

All three CFast card lines are set to be released before the end of the month (so, this week). The GH-CFS-NSA and GH-CFS-XSA models come with a three-year warranty and go from 2 GB to 32 GB in terms of capacity, whereas the GH-CFS-NMA cards are backed by a one-year warranty and go from 8 GB to 64 GB.

Green House Announces a Line of SandForce-Powered SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs

Green House has today revealed to the world its newest solid state drive family, the GH-SSD32A Series which is made up of four models, all 2.5-inch in size and all equipped with MLC (multi-level cell) NAND Flash memory and a SandForce SF-2281VB1 controller.

Green House's SSDs also feature a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, TRIM support, and a three-year warranty. The GH-SSD32A line includes 60 GB (550 MB/s read speed, 480 MB/s write speed), 120 GB (550/500 MB/s), 240 GB (550/500 MB/s) and 480 GB (540/420 MB/s) drives.

Green House has kicked off this week by announcing the GH-BHDA42, an USB adapter providing Bluetooth connectivity. Seen below, the device measures 14.2 (W) x 19.3 (D) x 4.5 (H) (mm) and weighs just 2.4 grams, it features support for the latest Bluetooth specifications (4.0), and allows for transfer speeds of up to 3 Mbps (the maximum range is 10 meters).

The GH-BHDA42 is backed by a 6-month warranty and costs about $16.3.

Japanese company Green House has today rolled out a new memory card suited for the latest, 1080p-capable smartphones, a 32 GB MicroSDHC which features an UHS-I speed rating and is capable of read and write speeds of up to 25 MB/s and 15 MB/s, respectively.

Dubbed GH-SDMRHC32GU, the card complies with the SD Card Specs V3.00, it has a waterproof design, and comes bundled with an SD adaptor. This 32 GB MicroSDHC is backed by a three-year warranty and costs about $102.

Green House Unveils New Line of Industrial SDHC Cards

Green House Japan unveiled a new line of industrial SDHC cards that are designed to endure operating temperatures as high as 70°C, and as low as 0°C, which makes them fit to serve as removable storage media in IPCs and outdoor static cameras. The cards further pack ECC logic to prevent data corruption. The cards make use of SLC NAND flash, and come in capacities of 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB. The 256 and 512 MB models provide transfer rates as high as 19 MB/s reads with 7 MB/s writes, while the other models provide speeds as high as 20 MB/s reads with 13 MB/s writes. Green House left pricing to the open markets.

Green House Announces New, Long-Life Wireless Mouse

Japanese company Green House has today unveiled the GH-MUWAS, a compact wireless mouse promises a battery life of up to 200 days thanks to the use of an infrared LED. Seen below, the mouse measures 96.5 x 64 x 37.5 mm, it weights 49 grams without a battery (one AA battery powers it up), and features 2.4 GHz wireless technology, an optical sensor topping 2000 dpi, side grips, and a tiny USB receiver which can be stored in an underside compartment.

The GH-MUWAS is backed by a 6-month warranty and is set to become available next week priced at about $18.6.

Green House Also Releases 20-inch Widescreen Monitors

Green House also introduced a pair of 20-inch widescreen monitors under the GH-AAH203SDL series, the GH-AAH203SDLB (black) and GH-AAH203SDLW (white). The two pack 1600x900 pixels resolution with 1,000:1 contrast ratio (5,000,000:1 DCR), 5 ms response time, 250 cd/m² brightness, and 160°/160° viewing angles. A distinctive feature is a low-power white LED backlight power saving mode, which drops backlight power draw down to under 1W. The monitors include a pair of 4W stereo speakers. Display inputs include DVI and D-Sub. Measuring 478.2 x 189.4 x 350.0 mm (WxDxH), these monitors weigh 3 kg. Backed by 3 year warranty, and slated for late May, the GH-AAH203SDL is priced at 12,800 JPY (US $160).
