A range of Acer devices received the 2023 Red Dot Award and were recognized for their design quality and ingenuity. As an internationally established design competition, the Red Dot distinction is bestowed on outstanding designs which has helped increase global visibility and credibility for various products and brands through the years. A panel of 43 design experts from different industries and practices conducted an on-site assessment of the products for the first time in three years, based on the criteria of product design, quality, and innovation. The Acer devices were among more than 7,900 entries for this year, with participants ranging from around 60 countries globally.

Acer announced today that it has won iF Design Awards 2023 across the "Gaming Hardware/AR/VR", "Consumer Products" and "Telecommunication" categories. This year's winning entries feature the new Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition gaming laptop, the eco-friendly packaging of the Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition laptop, and the portable Acer Connect Enduro M3 5G Mobile Wi-Fi router.

The iF Design Awards is a world-renowned design competition that gives due recognition to creators and brands that showcase outstanding design ingenuity, encouraging greater awareness of the craft and its integration into organizations' long-term planning. Nearly 11,000 entries were submitted for the 2023 ballot, ranging from almost 4,700 participants across 56 territories. Acer's entries were assessed by a panel of 133 design experts and successfully joined the ranks of the 3576 submissions that were bestowed iF Design Awards for 2023.

Acer today announced major updates to its gaming laptop line-up, with new designs and support for industry-leading technology: 13th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. The new Predator Triton 17 X and Predator Helios Neo 16 are made for gamers and creators alike, due to their powerful components and premium display options. Acer will be participating in the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2023 held from March 20-24 in San Francisco to share the latest innovations of its industry-leading SpatialLabs experience. It combines advanced eye-tracking cameras, a stereoscopic 3D display and stereo rendering capabilities to deliver immersive 3D experiences without the need for specialized glasses. With a click of a button, 2D visuals seem to pop out of their screens, giving designers, marketers, and other professionals a unique way of interacting with their creations in 3D views.

SpatialLabs TrueGame
Following its launch in 2021, Acer took it up a notch by bringing its glasses-free stereoscopic 3D technology to the world of gaming through the SpatialLabs TrueGame application. With a Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition laptop, or a SpatialLabs View display paired with a PC, users can enjoy the supported titles in their true 3D form, delivering immersive gaming experiences as envisioned by their developers. This is possible because games are mostly created with a three-dimensional world in mind as developers include information about depth in each scene and object they build. SpatialLabs leverages this already-existing information in order to present the games in stereoscopic 3D. A dedicated pre-configured profile is now available for each game title, among the 70+ modern and classic titles on launch, to offer players a seamless experience with their favorite games. More profiles for additional titles will be added on a continuous basis moving forward.

Acer today announced a major update to its SpatialLabs TrueGame, the glasses-free 3D gaming application, with the addition of a 3D Ultra mode. Total Graphics Power, or TGP, is a way of constraining the power of a GPU to a certain level, so it can adjust to the use case. In laptops and other mobile systems, TGP can be dynamically adjusted using technologies such as NVIDIA Dynamic Boost and AMD Smart Shift, which bring unused CPU power envelope to the GPU and allowing it to boost to much higher frequencies. By boosting to higher frequencies, the total power output of GPU increased, and the cooling system of a laptop can only handle a limited amount of heat. That is why these technologies from AMD and NVIDIA allow the CPU to reduce its heat output and offer the GPU more room for boosting and power output.

Acer has today announced that the company will offer a simple firmware update for their Nitro 5, Helios 300, Triton 300, and Triton 300 SE gaming laptops, which is going to boost the TGP of NVIDIA graphics card present in these systems anywhere from 5-30 Watts. Today Acer announced updates and refreshes to several gaming notebooks in its portfolio, including the Predator Triton 300 SE, Predator Helios 300 and Acer Nitro 5.
