Klevv Announces Two New DDR4 Memory Lines: Cras XR RGB and Bolt XR

Klevv, a subsidiary of SK Group, today announced two new DDR4 memory product lines - one with RGB flavoring, the other without. The Cras XR RGB features a metal heatspreader with a dotted pattern (42.5 mm height), topped by an RGB LED bar compatible with multiple RGB control software in the market (think ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and Razer Chroma RGB, among others). The Cras XR RGB is available in kits ranging from 8 GB single-stick through to 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) kits in multiple memory speeds; 3600 MHz with 18-22-22-42 timings @ 1.35 V (up to 2x 16 GB); 4000 MHz with 19-25-25-45 timings @ 1.40 V (up to 2x 8 GB) and 4200 MHz with 19-26-26-46 timings @ 1.40 V (up to 2x 8 GB).

The Bolt XR forgoes the RGB lighting and uses a textured metal heatspreader with black branding (36.7 mm height). The Bolt XR isn't available at the top 4200 MHz speed, though; it seems top performance is reserved for RGB enthusiasts. The only available speeds are 3600 MHz with 18-22-22-42 timings @ 1.35 V (up to 2x 16 GB) and 4000 MHz with 19-25-25-45 timings @ 1.40 V (up to 2x 8 GB). No word on pricing or availability was known at time of writing, though Klevv does offer a limited lifetime warranty for these modules.

KLEVV Introduces the CRAS C710 M.2 NVMe SSD

KLEVV Shows Off New Flash Drives, SSDs and Memory with Copious Amounts of RGB

KLEVV at its Computex 2019 booth unveiled a new line of high-performance USB flash drives. It also brought along its latest variants of CRAS series M.2 NVMe SSDs and DDR4 memory, which come with a dazzling/blinding (take your pick) amount of RGB LED embellishment. We begin with the Portable Ghost, branded as a "portable SSD" and not a flash-drive. This is because the USB 3.1 gen 2 type-C connection pulls a PCIe/NVMe internal SSD. When plugged into a PC or a USB charger, the drive can also work as a wireless drive to your other devices over Bluetooth 4.2. The drive comes in two variants based on capacity, which significantly differ in hardware. The 240 GB variant is pulled by a JMicron JM5583 controller, while the 480 GB variant has a Silicon Motion SM2263EN. Both models use 72-layer 3D TLC NAND flash, and have the same on-paper performance figures, with up to 1,250 MB/s reads/writes. The drive isn't without two RGB LED diffusers.

The Blu RC30 is another fascinating, albeit slower drive, that's properly marketed as a flash drive. Built in the conventional 2-piece capped form-factor, the drive features a USB 3.1 gen 1 (5 Gbps) type-A connection. An internal battery which soaks up power when plugged in, lets the drive function wireless over Bluetooth 4.2, and also be used as a wireless presentation tool (a clicker), with capacitive touch surface and a couple of buttons, which imitate a mouse. Built in capacities of 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB, the Blu RC30 offers sequential transfer-rates of up to 250 MB/s reads on all three models, and write-speeds rated at 40 MB/s for the 32 GB model, 50 MB/s for 64 GB, and 90 MB/s for the 128 GB model. Transfer rates are severely throttled in wireless mode. We then moved on to its SSD and memory products.

KLEVV Announces RGB-king CRAS C700 RGB NVMe M.2 SSD

Klevv today announced the launch of the CRAS C700 RGB NVMe M.2 SSD, which dials RGB goodness up to at least 12. The new SSD makes use of the PCIe 3.0 4x interface through the NVMe 1.3 protocol, enabling up to read 1500MB/s read and 1300MB/s write speeds. Klevv have made this SSD available in 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB capacities. There's SLC caching on-board, which means performance will certainly be slower in more data-heavy operations, in the event that the SLC cache overflows. The RGB goodness is distributed through 8 individually-addressable LEDs behind a gem-like diffuser, which provides an even glow that's programmable through most motherboard RGB control software.

Klevv also announced that the CRAS C700 RGB NVMe M.2 SSD makes use of 10-layer PCB for "better data integrity", as well as a 27% reduction in operating temperatures for the SD due to KLEVV's heatsink design. An unannounced feature for the RGB power in these SSDs is the ability to illuminate even Game of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 3 from inside your PC case.

KLEVV Unveils New Cras X RGB, Cras II RGB, Bolt X and Bolt Memory Modules

Boutique yet high-end memory maker KLEVV unveiled a plethora of RGB LED-lit variants of its popular memory modules. The star attractions at the company's Computex booth are the Cras II RGB and Cras X RGB. Both are studded with addressable RGB LEDs. The Cras X RGB features a soft diffuser along its top, besides a chunkier heatspreader, while the Cras II RGB has an intricately designed heatspreader, with cutouts through which the lighting is diffused. The Cras II RGB comes in DDR4-3200 speed, and in 2x 8 GB dual-channel kit, while the Cras X RGB comes in both DDR4-3200 and DDR4-3466 speeds, and 2x 8 GB and 2x 16 GB densities. The Bolt and Bolt X are the company's standard-height modules, with simpler heatspreader designs. The Bolt comes in DDR4-2400, and DDR4-3000 speeds, in 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB densities, while the Bolt X, with a more premium design, ticks at DDR4-2666 and DDR4-3200, in the same densities.

Klevv Announces the Fit 4 DDR4 Module

Klevv announced its new entry-level DDR4 memory module, the Fit 4. The module features an identical heatspreader design to the original Fit (DDR3) series, and features a black full-height PCB. The Fit 4 series is likely to include various sub-3000 MHz DDR speeds, densities of 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB; making up dual-channel kits of 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB, respectively. These could also be among the most affordable DDR4 memory you can get from this brand.
