Alphacool Unveils Eisblock Full-coverage Blocks for Various RTX 4070 Ti and RX 7900 XTX

More performance for RTX 4070Ti and RX 7900XTX GPUs! Alphacool expands its range of active water cooling solutions for NVIDIA RTX 4070Ti and AMD RX 7900XTX graphics cards with the new and innovative Eisblock Aurora cooler.

Thanks to the particularly filigree fin structure, the cooling surface has been enlarged and a very good water flow is made possible. The nozzle plate with revised inflow also distributes the water perfectly onto the cooling fins. This effectively dissipates the enormous heat generated by the new graphics card generation with the cooler. The full-surface chrome plating of the copper base not only provides lasting protection against acids, scratches, and damage, but also achieves a beautiful homogeneity and a special shine.

PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil Teased

PowerColor today teased its Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil flagship graphics card. Designed for those with a DIY liquid cooling setup, the Liquid Devil essentially combines an RX 7900 XTX Red Devil PCB with a factory-fitted full-coverage water block. The water block is sourced from EK Water Blocks, just like with the previous-generation RX 6900 XT Liquid Devil, and is likely based on the company's Quantum Vector series, which combines nickel-plated copper primary material with a clear acrylic top that's studded with addressable RGB LEDs; and capped with vinyl decals specific to PowerColor. The card probably features a metal backplate with an illuminated PowerColor Devil logo. It remains to be seen if the Liquid Devil is differentiated from the air-cooled Red Devil OC Limited Edition with slightly higher factory-overclocks or power-limits.

Cooler Master Keyboards at 2023 CES: MasterKeys MK770 and CK721 in New Colors

Cooler Master introduced several new color schemes of its MasterKeys MK770 and CK721 mechanical gaming keyboards at the 2023 International CES. The MK770 has a unique 99-key layout that retains the Numpad, squeezes the arrow keys between the main QWERTY key-cluster and the Numpad, and relocates the insert/delete/home/end/page-up/page-down cluster. This is essentially a full-size keyboard, but only 38 cm in length (comparable to some TKL keyboards). The MK770 supports three kinds of connectivity—USB (including type-C), wireless over Bluetooth 5.1, or wireless over a low-latency proprietary 2.4 GHz RF.

The MK770 comes with hot-swappable Kailh Box V2 mechanical switches, a gasket mounted construction, PBT doubleshot keycaps with four distinct colors per color-set; and pre-lubed stabilizers for the keycaps. You get individual-key RGB lighting, a multi-function customizable wheel, and a 4000 mAh battery (the company didn't mention battery life on a full charge). In the USB and 2.4 GHz RF mode, the keyboard offers a 1000 Hz interface polling-rate, which drops down to 125 Hz in Bluetooth mode. A 512 KB onboard memory stores lighting and macro data. The four color sets the MK770 are offered in are: cyan+magenta+gray; mint-green+forest green+off-white; an Attack on Titan theme; and Fruity Pebbles theme. The CK721 Sakura Limited Edition is a 65% format mechanical gaming keyboard that uses TTC mechanical switches, PBT doubleshot keycaps, a 3-way digital dial, RGB lighting for each key, and triple interface just like MK770 (USB, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz RF). A 2,000 mAh battery provides up to 73 hours of use without lighting.

HYTE in Collaboration With hololive English Unveils the New Limited Edition Ouro Kronii Y60 PC Case

HYTE, the PC components, peripherals, and lifestyle brand of iBUYPOWER, today, unveiled the new limited edition Ouro Kronii Y60 PC Case, in collaboration with hololive English team, represented by the COVER Corporation from Japan.

In HYTE's second collaboration with hololive English and illustrator Rosuuri, the beloved Ouro Kronii of holoCouncil comes to life along the tempered glass side panels of the uniquely designed Y60 PC Case. The famous VTuber is depicted on the main side panel holding up one of her blades while clock cogs appear to float in the background. On the corner glass, Kronii's white snake, Boros, sits atop a cog floating above a golden clock while a chibi version of Kronii embracing her Kronies plushie is depicted on the front glass panel.

ASRock Z790 PG Sonic Leaks, Most Likely Limited Edition for the Asian Market

Today Intel launched its 13th gen Core processors alongside the Z790 chipset, which in turn lead to a lot of new motherboards being available. However, it appears that ASRock is working on a special edition of its Z790 PG Riptide board that has something of an unusual twist. The board is known as the Z790 PG Sonic and appears to be some kind of cooperation with Sega, since the board carries clear Sonic the Hedgehog branding.

The board seems to be some kind of limited edition version of the Z790 PG Riptide, as we can't spot any features that have changed, at least not based on the pictures posted by @momomo_us on Twitter. The top of the board has Sonic themed heatsinks, as well as some of the printing on the PCB and the rear is adorned with a rather large Sonic in white on the black PCB. Obviously the packaging is also adorned with a Sonic print, but there doesn't appear to be any other connection to Sonic or Sega, which makes the whole partnership a bit of a mystery at the moment, but it's highly likely that we're looking at a limited edition product for the Asian markets here.

EK and MSI Announce Limited Edition MPG X670E Carbon EK-X Motherboard

EK, the European manufacturer of premium liquid cooling gear, and MSI, a world-leading gaming brand, have traditionally partnered up to launch an X670E-based motherboard that comes packaged with a Quantum-design monoblock. This time, it will come in a Limited Edition run. The monoblock offers unparalleled cooling for the VRM section and the AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, as well as a plethora of other nifty features, like the integrated flow meter and temperature sensor, allowing users to have precise checks on their loop status.

Cooling the Ryzen 7000 CPUs is no small feat, and air coolers struggle to get the most out of them. The new Ryzen 7000 series CPUs don't have a fixed frequency as CPUs used to. Instead, the boost clock is primarily contingent on thermals and, secondarily, power. Here's where liquid-cooled EK-Quantum Momentum² Monoblock comes into play. Not only does it make sure that your CPU is properly cooled, but it also ensures the power delivery system is as cool as possible. This allows the user to push performance to the limits while having a quiet system that stays as cool as possible.

Restoring the Balance: Intel Arc A750 & A770 Performance per Dollar Detailed, available Oct 12th

It's the moment you've been waiting for! (And the moment our teams have been working towards!) The Intel Arc A750 and A770 GPUs will be for sale on October 12th starting at $289 and $329 respectively, with the Arc A770 Limited Edition available for $349. After years of price increases in the massive $200-400 GPU segment, Intel is bringing balance back to the GPU market. Pricing seems to have gone off the deep end and we're working to reel it back in with the Intel Arc A-series GPUs. As we've shown in earlier performance blogs, the Arc A750 and A770 trade blows with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060—a popular mainstream GPU. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger called out the extreme GPU prices in his Intel Innovation Day 1 keynote, showing that the last four years have seen a nonstop upward trend in prices of mainstream GPUs. By entering the GPU space as a third player, Intel is ready to turn these tides in gamers' favor and disrupt the market.

On average, a new GeForce RTX 3060 will set you back $418. (This number was calculated on Newegg.com, targeting in stock, sold by Newegg, new RTX 3060 cards as of Sept 22, 2022.) Picking up an Intel Arc A750 on October 12th for $289 gets you 53% more performance per dollar on average, or an 8 GB Arc A770 for $329 provides 42% more perf/dollar. Why is that? The Arc A700-series performance beats the 3060 in most modern titles using DirectX 12 or Vulkan APIs and our GPUs aren't far behind in most DX11 games—all for much less cash.

Intel Announces Core i9-13900KS On the Same Day it Launches i9-13900K

Intel in its launch event for the 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake" desktop processor series, also announced a high-end processor it will likely name Core i9-13900KS Limited Edition. Slated for early 2023 unlike the i9-13900K that should be available from October 20, the i9-13900KS will be the "world's first 6 GHz processor." Essentially a step-up from the i9-13900K, the KS offers maximum boost frequencies of 6.00 GHz, which are 200 MHz higher than the 5.80 GHz of the i9-13900K. There may be more to it than such a tiny speed-bump, such as higher power limits, and a better spread of the boost residency across cores, but we'll have to wait until next year to find out. This news comes amid rumors that AMD's 3DV Cache-equipped "Zen 4" CCD may be close to production, with Ryzen 7000X3D series processors entering the market with a similar "early 2023" timeline.

Intel Arc A770 Overclocks Up to 2.70 GHz on Stock Cooling, with Minimal Effort

In its latest video presentation dealing with the reference board design and overclocking architecture of the Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card, Intel revealed that the cards should be "monster overclockers," and that they've been able to get their randomly selected card to run at 2.70 GHz (up from 2.10 GHz reference), without the need for custom-cooling, just by using the overclocking controls on the Arc Control software. The cooler has a noise output of up to 39 dBA, and even with the overclocked GPU, Intel claims, the temperatures never crossed the 80-90 °C range. The GPU power was claimed to be around 228 W.

Intel clarified that the "GPU Clock" advertised with the A770 is the guaranteed clock-speed sustained by the GPU at least 50% of the time, even on the "least performing" silicon. The actual clock will vary around this point. This is represented as a bell-curve on top of the voltage-frequency curve of the GPU. There are two ways to go about increasing the performance of the GPU—increasing the voltage, which would increase the clock residency (sustainability of elevated clock-states); and by increasing the frequency itself. Both of these can be accomplished using Arc Control.

Intel Posts Disassembly and PCB Shots of Arc A770 Limited Edition

Intel Graphics, in its latest teaser video to the Arc A770 Limited Edition "Alchemist" graphics card, posted detailed renders of the card disassembled. The card features a strictly dual-slot cooling solution that uses an aluminium base-plate and a copper vapor-chamber to pull heat from the various hot components of the PCB. This is conveyed by four flat copper heat pipes through an aluminium fin-stack heatsink, which is ventilated by a pair of 80 mm fans. The cooler and its backplate feature four independent RGB lighting zones—the bores of each of the two fans, a light strip running along the top of the card; and toward the tail-end of the backplate, with a total of 90 LEDs. Intel claims that the maximum noise output of the cooler is 39 dBA.

The PCB is shorter in length than the cooler itself, and is full-height (and no taller). It draws power from a combination of 8-pin and 6-pin PCIe power connectors, which combined with slot-power add up to 300 W. A 6-phase VRM powers the "ACM-G10" GPU, while there are three other VRM phases, which could power the eight GDDR6 memory chips, and other power domains of the card. Display outputs include three standard-size DisplayPort 2.0, and one HDMI 2.1. The card's host interface is PCI-Express 4.0 x16, and although not a system requirement, Intel insists that the card be used on a machine with PCI resizable-BAR enabled.

Intel Finalizes Arc A770 Specs to Feature 17.5 Gbps Memory

Intel on Thursday confirmed that there will be only four Arc "Alchemist" desktop graphics card SKUs in the retail channel, and that it will be led by the A770 Limited Edition, which maxes out the DG2-512 silicon, and features 17.5 Gbps memory across its 256-bit wide memory bus, putting 560 GB/s of memory bandwidth at its disposal. The A750 uses 16 Gbps memory data-rates, and has 512 GB/s of bandwidth. It turns out, that the mid-range A580 features a 256-bit wide memory bus, and not the previously-reported 192-bit, which means it has the same 512 GB/s bandwidth as the A750. The A580 and A750 come with 8 GB of memory, while the A770 tops out with 16 GB.

AJAZZ Announces Year Of The Tiger Themed Limited Edition AC081 75% Mechanical Keyboard

AJAZZ is on a limited edition roll, first with the cheese-themed AC067 65% keyboard and now a zodiac-calendar themed take on its popular AC081 75% form factor keyboard. Given this is the year of the Tiger as per the Chinese zodiac, I fully expected to see the likes of Ducky to come up with a limited edition as they have for a while now. But it appears this year other brands have decided to take on the arguably easy formula, and I have a review of another such Tiger-themed keyboard in the works. AJAZZ's version uses a gasket-mounted structure with a thick CNC-machined aluminium alloy chassis which undergoes a combination of anodizing and electrophoresis processes for a matching textured finish, and PBT keycaps with dye sublimed legends. As with the cheese-themed keyboard, AJAZZ has once again worked with Kailh to bring out a limited edition Year of the Tiger switch that is a linear switch rated at 45 gf actuation at 1.8 mm travel. This is a heavy keyboard weighing 1.8 Kg and available for purchase from Mechkeys for $219.

Intel Shows Off its Arc Graphics Card at Intel Extreme Masters

Currently the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) event is taking place in Dallas and at the event, Intel had one of its Arc Limited Edition graphics cards on display. It's unclear if it was a working sample or just a mockup, as it wasn't running in a system or even mounted inside a system. Instead, it seems like Intel thought it was a great idea to mount the card standing up on the port side inside an acrylic box, on top of a rotating base. The three pictures snapped by @theBryceIsRt and posted on Twitter doesn't reveal anything we haven't seen so far, except the placement of the power connectors.

It's now clear that Intel has gone for a typical placement of the power connectors and the card in question has one 8-pin and one 6-pin power connector. Intel will in other words not be using the new 12-pin power connector that is expected to be used by most next generation graphics cards. We should mention that @theBryceIsRt is an Intel employee and is the Intel Arc community advocate according to his twitter profile, so the card wasn't just spotted by some passerby. Intel has as yet not revealed any details as to when it's planning on launching its Arc based graphics cards.

ADATA Unveils LEGEND 850 and Limited Edition PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 2280 SSDs

ADATA Technology (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 3260.TWO), a manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules, NAND Flash products, mobile accessories, gaming products, electric power trains, and industrial solutions today announced the LEGEND 850 PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 2280 solid state drive (SSD). The new LEGEND 850 delivers a new level of performance for advanced design applications, such as 3D modelling and animation.

The ADATA LEGEND 850 gives users a major upgrade in performance with sequential read and write speeds of 5,000/4,500 MB per second. This makes it up to 3 times faster than a standard PCIe Gen3 SSD and 9 times faster than a SATA SSD. What's more, it supports the latest Intel and AMD platforms, desktop and notebook PCs, and is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 for added convenience.

Sapphire Readies Radeon RX 6950 XT TOXIC Limited Edition

AMD is readying to refresh its Radeon RX 6000 RDNA2 graphics card series with the new RX 6x50 series that use faster memory, and possibly higher engine clock speeds; and Sapphire is preparing updates to its entire custom-design graphics card product-stack. The top-dog RX 6950 XT will receive the company's highest-end TOXIC Limited Edition treatment, according to an Italian retail ready with listings. This SKU, like its RX 6900 XT-based predecessor (pictured below), will feature an all-in-one liquid cooling solution, with a pump+block that pulls heat from the GPU, ventilated by a large 360 mm radiator. Custom-design RX 6900 XT cards already use triple-8 pin PCIe power connector setup, and so it will be interesting to see if AMD implements the ATX 3.0 16-pin connector NVIDIA did with its RTX 3090 Ti.

Intel Teases Arc Desktop Graphics Card

After today's mobile Arc GPU reveal, Intel has also teased its first desktop Arc graphics card in a YouTube video that gives us a first sneak peek of its first desktop graphics card since the late 1990's. Although it's not clear which card Intel is showing off in the video, as the card simply says Intel ARC Limited Edition on the back, it's clear that Intel has gone with a simpler design than those early concepts the company was showing off a couple of years ago. Based on the animated render, we'd hazard a guess that this is a higher-end model, as it appears to have eight memory ICs, as well as a somewhat elaborate cooling system with four heatpipes.

Two fans can also be seen in the video, although the mounting appears somewhat unusual compared to most graphics cards. The back of the card is covered, but it's not obvious if this is a functional rear cover or just for looks. The card also has three DisplayPort and one HDMI outputs. However, what can't be seen in the video, is any kind of power connectors on the card, although it's unlikely that Intel has managed to make a graphics card that doesn't require an external power-input, at least not based on what is known about Intel's upcoming Arc GPUs. The video ends with a message of the new cards coming in the summer of 2022. Based on the video, it seems like we should expect Intel branded retail cards, albeit in a limited production run and most likely only in select markets. You can watch the video after the break.

AMD, Microsoft Collaborate in Limited Edition, Halo Infinite-Themed RX 6900 XT Graphics Card

Here it is: Microsoft and AMD have collaborated in a special, limited-edition Halo-themed graphics card. Putting the Halo in a halo product, the new release features a collaborative design between AMD and Microsoft, and deepens the link between both companies. The design takes its cues specifically from Halo's most recognizable character, The Master Chief - Spartan John-117. The custom card features a triple-fan cooling solution, customized with the military green and faceplate gold from the iconic Halo character. The backplate too screams the connections to Halo, with a 117 embossing and a LED-illuminated blue AI logo.

Microsoft also used the limited edition RX 6900 XT graphics card announcement to indicate that it is working closely with AMD to bring ray tracing to Halo infinite, saying that "Ray tracing is one our top development priorities post-launch and look forward to sharing more soon." Smartly, and perhaps learning from what happened with the retail release of the Halo infinite custom Xbox Series X console (which fell to scalpers in a matter of minutes), the new, limited edition graphics card won't be available for sale; instead, " AMD, Halo, and other partners will be offering players multiple opportunities over the coming weeks to get their hands on one." Look after the break for the teaser video of the product.
