Inter-Tech Unveils the ITX E-D3 PC Case

Inter-Tech has today launched a new, aluminum PC chassis, the ITX E-D3. Pictured below, the case measures 260 x 222 x 224mm, it supports Mini ITX motherboards, and features top-placed USB (one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0) and audio ports, one 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch drive slots, and a pre-installed 120 mm fan (on the top panel).

The ITX E-D3 is backed by a two-year warranty and is listed for pre-order with a price tag just shy of €30.

Gigabyte Announces B85N-Phoenix Mini-ITX Motherboard

Gigabyte announced the B85N-Phoenix, a socket LGA1150 motherboard based on the Intel B85 chipset, and in the mini-ITX form-factor. The board is unusually rich in connectivity, despite its precious little PCB real-estate. It features an equally unusual black+orange color scheme that's more commonly found with the company's OC-series motherboards. It draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 4-pin CPU power connectors, and conditions it using a 4+2 phase VRM. The CPU socket is wired to a pair of DDR3 DIMM slots, supporting up to 32 GB of dual-channel memory; and a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot. It's neighbored to the north by an mPCIe 2.0 slot, wired to the B85 PCH.

Storage connectivity on the B85N-Phoenix includes three SATA 6 Gb/s, and a single SATA 3 Gb/s. The board features a total of four USB 3.0 ports, two on the rear panel, two by header. Display outputs include dual-link DVI and HDMI. The board comes prepped for wireless communications, but doesn't include a card. There are holes for two antennae, and an mPCIe slot. The board offers 8-channel HD audio with optical TOSLINK output. Gigabit Ethernet, PS/2, and a number of USB 2.0/1.1 ports make for the rest of it. Gigabyte didn't announce pricing.

BIOSTAR Officially Announces the J1800NH Mini ITX Motherboard

BIOSTAR has announced the J1800NH motherboard with the on-board Intel Dual-Core Celeron J1800 processor in a mini ITX form factor size of 17x17cm for flexible use.

The J1800NH boards come with the Intel Celeron J1800 Dual-Core processor already installed and it supports one DDR3L 1333/1066 MHz memory slot for a maximum of 8 GB of memory. It features an integrated graphics chip with enough performance for most home and office applications. The J1800NH board is ready for building a universal multimedia system due to its HDMI and analog VGA-out, and high definition audio with the Realtek ALC662 6-Channel HD Audio chip.

Gigabyte Also Rolls Out the J1900N-D3V Mini-ITX Motherboard

Gigabyte introduced one of the first mini-ITX motherboards based on Intel's new quad-core Celeron J1900 SoC, the J1900N-D3V. The chip integrates a quad-core x86-64 CPU clocked at 2.00 GHz. The SoC is passively cooled by a heatsink. It's wired to two DDR3 SO-DIMM slots, which can hold up to 8 GB of dual-channel DDR3-1333 MHz memory. A legacy PCI slot, along with a mini-PCIe 2.0 x1 slot, make up its expansion options. The board features quite a few legacy connectivity options, which make it an ideal choice for POS (point of sale) and kiosk PC builds.

The J1900N-D3V features two SATA 3 Gb/s ports as its storage connectivity. It draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 4-pin CPU power connectors. Among its legacy connectivity options are an LPT parallel port (by header), two RS232 serial COM ports, PS/2 keyboard/mouse ports, and D-Sub display output. Among its more modern connectivity options are 6-channel HD audio, two gigabit Ethernet interfaces, four USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports, and DVI digital display output. The best part? The board runs AMI UEFI BIOS, with Gigabyte's Dual-UEFI technology that protects against BIOS failures. The company didn't reveal pricing.

SilverStone Releases the RAVEN Z Mini-ITX PC Case

SilverStone Technology has now officially released the newest member of its RAVEN line of PC cases, a SFF (small form factor) model named RAVEN Z (SST-RVZ01). This chassis measures 382 (W) x 105 (H) x 350 (D) mm, it has a steel body and reinforced plastic panels, and features support for mini-ITX and DTX motherboards, a front I/O panel with two USB 3.0 ports, one slim (slot-loading) optical drive bay, one 3.5-inch and three 2.5-inch HDD/SSD slots, space for one SFX power supply and two pre-installed 1,200 RPM fans (top and bottom).

The RAVEN Z costs £56 / €68 and should be hitting stores this week.

Gigabyte Outs the J1800N-D2H Mini-ITX Motherboard

Joining Biostar with its Celeron J1800-based motherboard is Gigabyte, with the J1800N-D2H. The SoC features a dual-core 64-bit x86 CPU clocked up to 2.53 GHz, wired to a pair of DDR3 SO-DIMM slots, a PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slot, and a mini PCI-Express card slot. Display connectivity includes HDMI and D-Sub. Two SATA 3 Gb/s ports, a USB 3.0 port, four USB 2.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet, and PS/2 mouse/keyboard ports make for the rest of the connectivity. Gigabyte didn't reveal pricing details.

MSI Preps the J1800I Bay Trail-Powered Mini-ITX Motherboard

MSI will soon be rolling out a new mini ITX motherboard, a model called J1800I that makes use of Military Class 4 components for ' record-breaking stability' and comes equipped with a Bay Trail-D processor, more specifically, the 2.4 GHz dual-core Celeron J1800. The chip has a maximum TDP of 10 W so MSI added only an aluminum heatsink for cooling.

The J1800I also features two DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM slots (for up to 8 GB of memory), two SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, one PCIe x1 slot, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, one USB 3.0 port, and D-Sub, DVI and HDMI output. The board is available for pre-order for 74.15 Euro.

Cooltek Readies the W1 Mini-ITX PC Case

Sometime next month German company PC-Cooling is set to introduce a new Cooltek-branded PC chassis, the W1. Pictured below, the upcoming HTPC-ready case measures 356 x 242 x 362 mm and features a steel structure with aluminum panels, a I/O panel with dual USB 3.0 ports, Mini-ITX motherboard support, one slim 5.25-inch drive slot, plus four 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch bays.

The W1 can house graphics cards up to 320 mm long, it has pre-drilled holes on the back panel (for water-cooling tubing), and includes two pre-installed 140 mm fans (front and back). The case will come in two versions - W1 and W1 Window, the latter packing a side window.

Lian Li Releases the PC-Q33 Chassis

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd, today announces a new brushed aluminum Mini-ITX chassis - PC-Q33 - with a flip-open design and space-efficient hardware support. Alkeron Rolls Out Class-E 211 Mini-ITX enclosure

Alkeron Hardware announced its new Class-E 211 Mini-ITX enclosure - a minimalist enclosure for low powered Mini-ITX boards intended primarily for multimedia use. The case features sleek design with brushed aluminum front panel. An internal power supply eliminates need for external "brick" reducing a wiring mess. The PSU delivers 65W of power, enough to power an Intel Atom or AMD APU based Mini-ITX board and a single 3.5" or 2.5" hard drive.

A built-in USB IR receiver works out of the box with majority remote controls and operating systems. The case was designed with Hi-Fi component form factor in mind and it fits nicely in Audio/Video rack. The case works well in fanless configuration delivering sufficient airflow through openings at the top and the rear - big plus for multimedia application. There an opening for optional 40mm exhaust fan at the real for extra cooling if required. The case was safety certified for US and Canada by UL labs. The case is currently available from manufacturer's online store as well as on Amazon and eBay. It will be arriving at retailers in early 2014 with MSRP US$179.

SilverStone Readies the ML06 Mini-ITX HTPC Chassis

SilverStone is currently preparing the release of a new HTPC case, the Milo Series ML06. The chassis measures 350 (W) x 99 (H) x 205 (D) mm, it weighs 2.4 kg, and features a steel structure, an aluminum front panel, a I/O panel with two USB 3.0 ports, Mini-ITX motherboard support, one slim optical drive slot, four 2.5-inch bays, and a single PCI slot.

The ML06 can be equipped with a total of three fans - two 80 mm on the right side and one 120 mm on top, and supports CPU coolers up to 70 mm tall. The case's price tag and release date have yet to be revealed.

MSI to Release the H87I AC Mini-ITX Motherboard

In addition to the Z87I GAMING AC model seen last week, MSI is set introduce another mini ITX LGA1150 motherboard, the H87I AC. Seen below, this H87-based board features two DDR3-1600 memory slots, four SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, four USB 3.0 ports, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, plus Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac WiFi.

The H87I AC makes use of Military Class 4 components and is available for pre-order at €102.

MSI Shows Off Gaming Series Mini-ITX Z87 Motherboard and GeForce GTX 760 Card

Courtesy of MSI's Facebook page we can now have a pretty good look at two of the company's upcoming Gaming Series products, two compact components known as the Z87I GAMING AC and GTX 760 GAMING OC ITX.

The Z87I GAMING AC is a mini-ITX motherboard that's powered by the Intel Z87 chip and features Military Class 4 components, two DDR3 memory slots, five SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, Killer E2200 NIC Ethernet, 7.1-channel audio (with Audio Boost technology), and even 802.11ac WiFi support.
