Lian Li Announces the Brushed Aluminum PC-Q26 Mini-ITX Chassis

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd, today announces the brushed aluminum PC-Q26 mini-ITX chassis. Ideal for users who want to build their own NAS as well as system integrators, with its support of up to ten 3.5" drives, the PC-Q26 packs a lot of storage in a compact package. With a volume around 32.3L, the PC-Q26 supports a vast amount of storage for its size. Up to eleven hard drives can be installed: ten 3.5" and one 2.5" drive. A hot-swap backplane for two 3.5" drives is included. Additional backplanes can be easily added. Gigabyte Launches GeForce GTX 970 Mini-ITX Graphics Card

A time-traveler from two years ago would see the graphics card below to be a $100-ish mainstream fare, but looks can be extremely deceptive. This puppy packs more bite than a Radeon R9 290X. Gigabyte's latest creation puts a GeForce GTX 970 into a compact board that should play well with mini-ITX builds. The GTX 970 ITX card (model: N970IX-OC) features a full-height PCB that's about as long as a mini-ITX motherboard (17 cm), and a dense WindForce cooling solution that uses a single 100 mm fan to ventilate a dense aluminium fin heatsink, to which heat is fed by two 8 mm thick, and one 5 mm thick copper heat-pipes.

The card draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector. Display outputs include one HDMI 2.0, two dual-link DVI, and three DisplayPort 1.2 connectors. It comes with factory-overclocked speeds of 1076 MHz core and 1216 MHz GPU Boost, compared to reference clocks of 1051/1178 MHz. The memory is left untouched at 7.00 GHz. The best part about this card is its price. Gigabyte is charging no premium, pricing it at US $329.99.

ECS Announces the Z97I-DRONE and H97I-DRONE Mini-ITX Motherboards

ECS launched the Z97I-DRONE and H97I-DRONE mini-ITX, socket LGA1150 motherboards, which it first unveiled at Computex 2014. The two are identical to each other, with the only difference being the chipset. The Z97I-DRONE supports CPU and memory overclocking. Drawing power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors, the board features a 5-phase CPU VRM. The CPU socket is wired to a lone PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, and two full-length DDR3 DIMM slots. The only other expansion slot is an mPCIe 2.0 x1. Storage connectivity includes five SATA 6 Gb/s. Display connectivity includes one each of dual-link DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Six USB 3.0 ports (four on the rear panel, two by headers), 8-channel HD audio with TOSLINK SPDIF output, and gigabit Ethernet make for the rest of them.

ID-Cooling Announces T60-SFX Mini Gaming Case

Sharkoon Releases the CA-I and CA-M PC Cases

Sharkoon Technologies today announced the availability of its CA-I and CA-M aluminum PC cases. The CA-I measures 213 x 225 x 259 mm and features support for mini-ITX motherboards, two top-placed USB 3.0 ports and two front-facing USB 2.0 connectors, one 3.5-inch and one 2.5-inch drive bay, and one 120 mm fan installed on the top panel.

The CA-M is 270 by 225 by 285 mm and has the same four USB ports as the CA-I and a 120 mm top-placed fan but it can house a larger (micro ATX) motherboard and includes two 3.5-inch drive bays (that can be fitted with three 2.5-inch drives). The CA-I and CA-M come in two color versions (black and silver) and cost 41.99 Euro and 44.99 Euro, respectively.

ASRock rolled out the H81TM-ITX R2.0 thin mini-ITX motherboard for SFF PCs and AIO desktops. Gigabyte Rolls Out H81N-D2H Mini-ITX Motherboard

Gigabyte rolled out its latest entry-level socket LGA1150 motherboard in the mini-ITX form-factor, the H81N-D2H. Based on the Intel H81 Express chipset, the board takes in Core "Haswell" and "Devil's Canyon" processors (minus the overclocking support). The board draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 4-pin CPU power connectors, with a 3-phase VRM conditioning power for the CPU. The CPU socket is wired to two DDR3 DIMM slots, and a legacy PCI slot. Storage connectivity includes two each of SATA 6 Gb/s and SATA 3 Gb/s ports. Display outputs include one each of dual-link DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. PS/2 on the rear panel, LPT and COM (by headers), make up legacy connectivity. Two USB 3.0 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports make up modern connectivity. 6-channel HD audio, and gigabit Ethernet make for the rest of it. The board is driven by UEFI BIOS.

Lian-Li today announces a new brushed aluminum Mini-ITX chassis - PC-Q01. This compact case is designed for small office/home PC environments and features a tool-lessly removable L-shaped cover that makes installations effortless in space-confined ITX systems. With its versatile storage capabilities, the 13.3L PC-Q01 provides ample space for hardware compatibility. Lian Li Releases Two Modular Chassis: PC-V359 and PC-Q36

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd, today announces the release of two highly modular, brushed aluminum chassis with slide off side panels: PC-V359 and PC-Q36. The Micro-ATX PC-V359 and Mini-ITX PC-Q36 feature a see-through top panel and front window, making builds easily visible from the top and the front. Both chassis are are almost entirely modular - the top panel can be removed with the twist of four thumbscrews, and once removed, the side panels can be slid right off, providing total access to interior hardware in a matter of seconds.

Furthermore, after removing the two thumb screws from the 3.5" cage, the cage itself, as well as the entire front panel, can be removed. The back panel can also be removed after taking out two screws. The PC-V359 and PC-Q36 can utilize air, water, and passive cooling to keep builds running at a comfortable temperature. Ventilation with filters are located at the top of both side panels. One side can support a 240mm radiator, while the other side ventilates the GPU.

Corsair Shows off Colorful Graphite 380T Mini-ITX Cases

Corsair showed off its colorful Graphite 380T line of portable mini-ITX cases. Featuring a picnic basket-like design, with a handle right on top, the 380T has a 2-compartment design. The top one is dedicated to the motherboard tray, with enormous room for tall tower-type CPU heatsinks, and long graphics cards. It wouldn't surprise us if a Radeon R9 295X fit in just fine. The bottom compartment holds its standard PSU bay, three 3.5-inch drive bays (which each convert to 2.5-inch), and two additional 2.5-inch bays. Ventilation consists of a prominent 140 mm front intake, a 120 mm rear exhaust, and a top exhaust.

Cougar QBX Mini-ITX Tower Chassis Pictured

Here are the first pictures of Cougar's QBX mini-iTX tower-type chassis. Measuring 158 mm x 373.5 mm x 282 mm (WxDxH), the case can seat a standard mini-ITX motherboard, with 160 mm tall CPU coolers, and graphics cards as long as 35 cm. In the picture below, Cougar installed a Radeon HD 5970, which is among the longest DirectX 11 graphics cards ever made. The case can also seat a standard ATX power supply towards its front portion. Its cooling features include two 120 mm exhausts on the top, with provision for 240 mm x 120 mm radiators; an 80 mm rear exhaust, and a 120 mm intake on the side panel. Storage area includes one 5.25-inch drive bay, one 3.5-inch internal bay, and three 2.5-inch ones. Front panel connectivity includes USB 3.0 and HDA jacks.

AMD Expands Embedded G-Series Family With New Pin-Compatible SoC

AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced new x86 AMD Embedded G-Series system-on-chip (SoC) and central processing unit (CPU) solutions for embedded applications, including early adoption by HP for thin client deployment in healthcare, finance, education and retail, as well as Advantech for industrial applications in rugged environments.

The new product families expand upon the high-performance, low-power capabilities of the award-winning AMD Embedded G-Series platform, bringing high performance and integrated security with enterprise-class error-correction code (ECC) memory support, dual- and quad-core variants, and a discrete-class GPU and I/O controller on the same die. Spire Readies the PowerCube 502 Mini-ITX PC Case

Spire Corp. is currently preparing the release of a new compact PC chassis, a model called PowerCube 502 that has a pre-installed 300 W SFX power supply and offers support for mini ITX motherboards.

Seen below, the upcoming case measures 215 x 138 x 265 mm and has dual front USB 3.0 ports, one 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch drive bays, one PCI slot, and support for three fans - 60 mm front and bottom, 80 mm on the side. The PowerCube 502 has a two year warranty and will cost $74 / 55 Euro.
