The Korean NoFan Computer company has released a variety of cooling products that targeted quiet operations such as passive coolers, liquid coolers, and "silent" fans. Their CR-95C series of passive CPU coolers were released in 2012 for the enthusiast market and carried a significant price tag. The NoFan CR-80EH was released in 2013 and brought the technology used in the CR-95C to a cheaper product. The company hasn't released any new passive coolers since and has faced increased competition from the likes of Noctua and SilverStone. A new report from FanlessTech claims the company has ceased operations which is very likely given their site has been taken down and only limited stock remains. If you want a NoFan CR-80EH now might be your last chance as remaining stock sells out.

Silent cooling solutions maker Nofan, of the CR-95C fame, unveiled its second, more affordable silent CPU cooler, the CR-80EH. While its bigger, copper-built sibling can handle CPUs with TDP of up to 95W, this one caps out at 80W, so it should handle certain low-power variants of quad-core Intel Core "Ivy Bridge" and "Haswell" chips just fine.

The cooler features a diameter for its upper ring of 155 mm, and a height of 113 mm. Built of copper, it weighs about 300 g. Its design involves a solid copper base that's polished to a mirror finish, from which copper fins project up and out in a conical fashion. A 6 mm-thick heat pipe holds the fin array together. The Nofan CR-80EH supports Intel sockets LGA1150, LGA1155, and LGA1156. AMD socket FM2 is also supported, but the manufacturer recommends chips with under 80W TDP. The CR-80EH is expected to arrive in a few weeks, priced at US $60.

Silent PC cooling solutions expert Nofan is ready with an all-copper variant of its CR-95 fanless CPU heatsink. Called the CR-95C, the heatink retains the distinct hamster-wheel shape that's optimized for passive cooling. Measuring 180 x 180 x 148 mm (WxDxH), the cooler weighs a little over a kilogram, at 1020 g. Despite its dimensions, particularly its weight, it can only handle processors with TDP up to 100W (95W chips with mild OC could run, too). Its design consists of an octagonal copper (mirror-finish) base, from which two copper heat-pipes emerge, which twine through the copper fin stack. The CR-95C from Nofan is slated for early-June.

Korean fanless PC company NoFAN announced two new cases, the micro-ATX CS-70, and the ATX (mid-tower) CS-80. The cases ensure they stay fanless after installation, by including fanless PSUs and CPU coolers. The cooler included is the CR-100C, which is guaranteed to fit in these cases. Both cases include a P-400A fanless PSU with 400W capacity. Measuring 235 x 487 x 284 mm (WxDxH), the CS-70 has three 3.5" drive bays, and one each of exposed 5.25", and 2.5" bays. It includes USB 3.0 front-panel ports (standard header), apart from audio ports.

The CS-80, on the other hand, bears more conventional looks, measuring 200 x 490 x 470 mm. It has a 100% tool-free design, with three exposed 5.25" drive bays, apart from six 3.5" bays. Its front-panel includes an eSATA port apart from USB 3.0 and audio. Although both cases have provisions for fans, they obviously don't include any. Pricing and availability information is awaited.
