SilverStone today expanded its FHX line of industrial fans with the FHS140X, a 140 mm model. The series had, until now, included 80 mm and 120 mm models. The FHS series is designed for a wide range of ventilation applications that don't just include computing (PCs, workstations, servers), but also appliances. The fan features dimensions of 140 mm x 140 mm x 38 mm, making it thicker than conventional 140 mm fans. It comes with a grille at the intake given its high RPM.

The impeller of the FHX140X is made of a liquid-crystal polymer (LCP), while the frame is made of PBT. Moving on to its all important mechanical specs, the fan turns between 800 and 3,400 RPM, pushing up to 222.95 CFM of airflow, at a staggering 10 mm H₂O static-pressure, and a maximum noise output of 50 dBA. The fan takes in a standard 4-pin PWM connection, and can draw up to 13.2 W. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Phanteks Intros Polar ST Series CPU Coolers

Phanteks today launched the Polar ST line of air-type CPU coolers. These include the Polar ST4 (chrome) and the Polar ST5 (black). The aluminium fin-stack tower type fan-heatsinks. The Polar ST4 features four nickel plated copper heat pipes, and is rated for a maximum thermal load of 235 W, while the Polar ST5 has a more upmarket appearance with its black powder coating, and a die-cast metal top plate. The Polar ST5 has five nickel-plated copper heat pipes instead of four, which takes its thermal load value up to 255 W.

Both the Phanteks Polar ST4 and Polar ST5 include a 120 mm fan, specifically the Phanteks M25-120 PWM DRGB. As its name suggests, this is a conventional 25 mm-thick 120 mm fan with PWM control, and addressable RGB lighting control. Its ARGB LEDs are located in the impeller hub. As said, the Light Wings LX fan series obviously focuses on the lighting, but be quiet! was keen to note that the series will maintain reliable cooling and performance as well. In order to take the ARGB lighting to the next level, be quiet! is using both illuminated impeller and frosted fan blades, and integrates a total of 16 LEDs. These will still be available in black and white color options, 120 mm and 140 mm sizes, as well as PWM and PWM high-speed versions. The PWM version comes with seven fan blades and spins up to 1,600 RPM for the 120 mm and 1,200 RPM for the 140 mm version, while the PWM high-speed uses nine optimized fan blades and spins up to 2,100 RPM for the 120 mm and up to 1,800 RPM for the 140 mm version. The SUP-01, with its compact 45-liter enclosure, challenges traditional PC designs by offering a smaller footprint without compromising high-end hardware compatibility. By integrating only the core components, users can swiftly assemble a thermally efficient computer comparable to the LANCOOL 216. Placing the GPU in an upright position at the front of the case enables fresh air intake for optimal GPU performance. The adjustable bracket allows precise positioning of the GPU, both vertically and horizontally, maximizing airflow and aesthetics. The SUP-01 features LED strips along the front and left side of the case, along with an additional strip on the PCIe riser bracket. These strips can be conveniently controlled via the built-in Mode and Color buttons, offering six preset modes and eleven colors for customization.

SilverStone Intros Air Slimmer 140 Case Fan

SilverStone today introduced the Air Slimmer 140, a slimline 140 mm case fan. The fan comes with a thickness of just 15.5 mm, compared to the 25 mm that's typical of 140 mm fans. This should come in handy if you choose a thicker radiator, or are building an SFF machine. The fan features a copper fluid dynamic bearing, although the company didn't specify endurance numbers. The 9-blade impeller features what SilverStone brands as Shark Force patterns, which improve noise characteristics.

The fan takes in 4-pin PWM input, and supports ultra-low speeds. It turns at speeds ranging between 0 and 1,700 RPM, with a maximum airflow of 82 CFM, at 2 mm H₂O static pressure, and 33 dBA maximum noise. It includes cables for daisy-chaining. There are two key variants of the fan, the base variant comes with a black impeller and lacks any lighting, and then there's the Air Slimmer 140 ARGB, which has a white impeller and 9 LEDs studded in the hub. It takes in 3-pin ARGB input for the lighting. The all-black version is priced at $19.99, and the ARGB version at $24.99.

Corsair today announced the launch of its first 30 mm-thick PC cooling fans, the RS MAX Series. By combining extremely durable Liquid Crystal Polymer material with a larger fan blade bolstered by AirGuide technology, Corsair's expert engineers have created its best performing fan with zero compromises. The RS MAX Series connects with a simple 4-pin PWM header, enabling precise adjustment over fan speeds without the need for a separate controller.

With a 20% increase in thickness over standard fans, the RS MAX Series can spin at a lower speed to generate the same airflow as its thinner counterparts - translating into lower overall fan noise. For enthusiasts who push their systems to the limit, the high static pressure created by the RS MAX's larger fan blade helps power airflow through obstructions and dense radiators, making it an ideal choice for high-performance liquid cooling setups.
