Point of View and TGT Announce GTX 580 Beast 2 Graphics Card, Claim Top Spot

Point of View and its associate TGT overclocking team announced what they claim to be the highest clocked NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 graphics card, the GTX 580 Beast 2. The team had, in December, announced the GTX 580 Beast, with clock speeds of 855/1710/4104 MHz (core/CUDA cores/memory effective). The new Beast 2 model features "unprecedented" clock speeds of 873 MHz core, 1746 MHz CUDA cores, and 4104 MHz memory. This, is claimed by its makers to be the highest-clocked GeForce GTX 580 graphics card. The card is kept cool by a full-coverage copper water-block made by Aqua Computer. Said to be already shipping, the Point of View TGT GeForce GTX 580 Beast 2 graphics card is priced at €799.

Point of View Announces TGT GTX 480 Beast Graphics Card

Point of View seems to have struck gold with its association with the TGT overclocking team, with the introduction of what they claim to be the "fastest Fermi around". The Point of View TGT GeForce GTX 480 Beast is essentially a top-tier, hand-tested NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 graphics card with a custom-designed full-coverage water block, and a bleeding-edge profile packed into its BIOS. The card is clocked at 810 MHz (core), 1620 MHz (CUDA cores), and 950 MHz (3800 MHz GDDR5 effective) memory. The water-block is carved out of a single piece of nickel-plated copper, with acetal top, and is originally manufactured by Innovatek. As with every other GeForce GTX 480 card, this one is DirectX 11 compliant, and packs 480 CUDA cores, and 1536 MB of GDDR5 memory over a 384-bit wide memory interface. Point of View Intros its Low-Profile GeForce GT 430 Graphics Card

Point of View kicked of its GeForce GT 430 lineup with a custom-design graphics card. The card sticks to NVIDIA's reference design as far as the PCB goes, but uses a [seemingly] more cost-effective GPU cooling solution. The card is low-profile, and makes extra-room for a D-Sub connector with its full-height bracket on. Other connectors include DVI and HDMI. Like every other GeForce GT 430, Point of View's card is based on the 40 nm GF108 GPU, it is DirectX 11 compliant, and has 96 CUDA cores, a 128-bit wide DDR3 memory interface holding 1 GB of memory, and clock speeds that stick to NVIDIA's reference speeds: 700/1400/1600 MHz (core/shader/memory). A slightly faster variant based on the same exact design is also available, it just has the memory clocked 200 MHz higher. Expect standard pricing for this card.

Point of View, TGT Tuning Team Develop GTX 480 Ultra Charged TFC Graphics Card

Point of View and the TGT Tuning team, which develops pre-overclocked graphics cards, are developing a new high-end variant based on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 GPU, the GeForce GTX 480 Ultra Charged TFC (triple fan cooling). The company has "Charged" and "Ultra Charged" GeForce GTX 480 already out, but the two use NVIDIA reference cooling assembly. The TFC variant makes used of a triple-fan cooler made by Arctic Cooling (likely the Accelero Xtreme Pro), which comes with individual heatsinks over the memory chips and VRM area, alongside the main heatsink that makes use of a dense aluminum fin array to which heat is conveyed from a copper base by a number of heatpipes. This card features out of the box overclocked speeds of 763/1526/950(3800) MHz (core/shader/memory(memory effective)) compared to reference speeds of 700/1401/924(3696) MHz. Pricing and availability are not known.

Point of View Announces GeForce GT 240 Accelerators

Point of View Rolls Out ION Powered Mobii Family PC

NVIDIA Partner Point of View today announced its new line of compact desktop PCs targeted at home users. The Mobii Family PC is an implementation of the company's recently announced motherboards based on the NVIDIA ION platform, powered by Intel Atom dual-core processors. It aims to provide essential features with good levels of multimedia performance, with power consumption well below 100W.

The Mobii Family PC comes in a somewhat cubical chassis with just enough room for the mini-ITX ION motherboard, a couple of hard drives including an exposed 3.5" drive bay, and one exposed 5.25" bay. Under the hood is an ION motherboard with either single-core Atom 230 or dual-core Atom 330 (both clocked at 1.6 GHz), 1 or 2 GB of dual-channel DDR2 memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with HDMI output, 320 GB HDD, and either an 8X DVD-RW or a Blu-ray DVD-RW combo drive. The chassis comes in two colour schemes. Its pricing is yet to be known.
