Point of View Releases its First NVIDIA ION Mainboards

POINT OF VIEW, well known for its range of NVIDIA based Graphics cards, is presenting today the first in a series of NVIDIA ION based mainboards: the mini-ITX POV/ION230 and POV/ION330.

Multiplying the performance level of Intel Atom based systems, the NVIDIA ION technology has been received with massive success in the market. A strong performance combined with the small form factor and extremely low power consumption; make this platform perfectly suitable for media center and family computer applications.

Point of View Out With 2 GB GeForce GTX 285

NVIDIA partners seem to be gaining interest in releasing GeForce GTX 200 series products with double the amount of memory. Several partners have announced 1792 MB variants for the GTX 260 and GTX 275, while GTX 285 with its lavish 512-bit memory interface is facilitating 2 GB of memory. Point of View now has one such model of its own.

The card uses reference clock speeds as far as the GPU goes: 648 MHz (core) and 1476 MHz (shader), while going light with its memory, 1161 MHz against the reference speed of 1242 MHz. The rest of the card is pretty standard: 240 shader processors, acceleration for NVIDIA CUDA, and support for PhysX technology, and 3-way SLI support.

Point of View Announces Prince of Persia Graphics Card Bundle

Point of View today, has announced special graphics card game bundles with Ubisoft's fourth generation addition to the Prince of Persia franchise. The bundles start at the range of a GeForce 9500 GT based graphics card, and go high up the range of what Point of View has to offer. These special edition bundles can be identified with the box packaging with the new Prince of Persia theme. Inside the box would be the usual contents of a graphics card package, along with a copy of the full-version of the game.

Point of View in its press release includes a short description of the game, and on how its hardware is geared up for it. The game by Ubisoft is described by Point of View as "a magnificent game which looks like nothing you've ever seen before!", which is somewhat justified by the screenshots posted. With the incorporation of design elements such as Cel-Shading the characters are presented as something hand-drawn, as something straight out of an animation film. The Point of View bundles will be hitting stores soon. The company has a history of offering such themed graphics card bundles, with affiliations to titles such as Assassins Creed and Wall E. Point of View Teams up with Arctic Cooling to Introduce New GeForce 9800 GTX+ Card

Graphics card manufacturer Point of View is jumping the Arctic Cooling band wagon just like many other manufacturers did, by introducing the brand new POV GeForce 9800 GTX+ with 512MB of GDDR3 memory (R-VGA150900H+). The 55nm built GeForce 9800GTX+ is one of the great cards currently on the market, performing very well with the latest games and also offering an acceptable price tag. To get even more performance out of the graphics card Point of View has decided to team up with Arctic Cooling and start offering their cards with AC coolers that will help lower temperatures and even more. The Arctic cooled POV GeForce 9800 GTX+ comes clocked at 738MHz core, 1836MHz shader clock and 2200MHz memory clock. At the same time the card is up to 20% cooler and also makes less noise than the standard NVIDIA cooling system. The actual model used is Arctic Cooling Accelero TWIN TURBO with two ultra quiet 80mm fans, 4 heatpipes and 30 fins that together form a dual-slot cooling monster able to transfer up to 120W of heat. Point of View releases GeForce 9800 GTX+

The GeForce 9800GTX+ has major improvements compared to its predecessor.
