We listened and created a new user-friendly series that enables mounting freedom, prioritizes location-free operation and creates a streamlined workflow that empowers operators with varying degrees of expertise to create extremely professional content while keeping operating costs down."

NVIDIA Gives RTX A6000 "Ada" Professional Graphics a Quiet Launch, Starting $7377

NVIDIA is ready to launch its RTX A6000 series "Ada" professional-visualization graphics cards. These cards are targeted at the same market demographic as the NVIDIA Quadro series of the old—serious 3D content creation. The RTX A6000 leads the pack, and is based on the 4 nm "AD102" silicon (the same one powering the GeForce RTX 4090). The A6000 is better endowed than the RTX 4090 at the silicon-level, although operating at lower GPU clock-speeds, for its tighter 300 W power-limit (compared to 450 W of the RTX 4090).

The A6000 "Ada" is endowed with 18,176 CUDA cores across 142 SM, compared to the 16,384 CUDA cores across 128 SM of the RTX 4090. It also gets a higher number of Tensor cores, at 568. The defining differentiator between the A6000 and RTX 4090 has to be memory, with the pro-vis card getting 48 GB of ECC GDDR6 memory across the chip's 384-bit memory bus, clocked at 20 Gbps (960 GB/s memory bandwidth); compared to the 24 GB of 21 Gbps GDDR6X (1008 GB/s) of the RTX 4090. Also, the card enables all three NVDEC and NVENC video hardware-accelerators physically present on the AD102, for six independent accelerated transcoding streams.

Intel Unveils Arc Pro Graphics Cards for Workstations and Professional Software

Intel has today unveiled another addition to its discrete Arc Alchemist graphics card lineup, with a slight preference to the professional consumer market. Intel has prepared three models for creators and entry pro-vis solutions, called Intel Arc Pro graphics cards. All GPUs are AV1 accelerated, have ray tracing support, and are designed to handle AI acceleration inside applications like Adobe Premiere Pro. At the start, we have a small A30M mobile GPU aimed at laptop designs. It has a 3.5 TeraFLOP FP32 capability inside a configurable 35-50 Watt TDP envelope, has eight ray tracing cores, and 4 GB of GDDR6 memory. Its display output connectors depend on OEM's laptop design.

Next, we have the Arc A40 Pro discrete single-slot GPU. Having 3.5 TeraFLOPs of FP32 single-precision performance, it has eight ray tracing cores and 6 GB of GDDR6 memory. The listed maximum TDP for this model is 50 Watts. It has four mini-DP ports for video output, and it can drive two monitors at 8K 60 Hz, one at 5K 240 Hz, two at 5K 120 Hz, or four at 4K 60 Hz refresh rate. Its bigger brother, the Arc A50 Pro, is a dual-slot design with 4.8 TeraFLOPs of single-precision FP32 computing, has eight ray tracing cores, and 6 GB of GDDR6 memory as well. It has the same video output capability as the Arc A40 Pro, with a beefier cooling setup to handle the 75 Watt TDP. All software developed using the OneAPI toolkit can be accelerated using these GPUs. Intel is working with the industry to adapt professional software for Arc Pro graphics.

The MM-500 is designed to perform both inside and outside the studio, with low impedance and high sensitivity that make it easy to drive from any console, interface or laptop. It is an open-back, over-ear set of planar magnetic headphones with Audeze's Uniforce voice coil over an ultra-thin diaphragm, and utilizes Fazor waveguides coupled with Fluxor magnets. The transducer is 90 mm in size and the use of the LCD-5 style frame and headband design combined with single-sided magnets also indicates the MM-500 is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the prosumer and audiophile market. The Audeze MM-500 costs $1699 and will be available for purchase soon. Read past the break for reactions on the collboration as well as more information about the new product itself.

NVIDIA Announces RTX A6000 48 GB Professional Graphics Card Accelerators

NVIDIA today announced their RTX A6000 series of graphics cards, meant to perform as graphics accelerators for professional workloads. And the announcement marks a big departure for the company's marketing, as the Quadro moniker has apparently been dropped. The RTX A6000 includes all raytracing resources also present on consumer RTX graphics cards, and marks a product segmentation from the company's datacenter-geared A40. The RTXA6000 features a full-blown GA102 chip - meaning 10752 CUDA cores powering single-precision compute performance of up to 38.7 TFLOPs (3.1 TLFOPs higher than that of the GeForce RTX 3090). Besides offering NVIDIA's professional driver support and features, the RTX A6000 features 48 GB of GDDR6 (note the absence of the X) memory - ensuring everything and the kitchen sink can be stored in the cards' VRAM. GDDR6X doesn't currently offer the per-chip density of GDDR6 solution, hence why NVIDIA opted for the lower-performing, yet denser memory variant.

The RTX A6000 features a classic blower-type cooler, and presents a new low-profile NVLink bridge that enables two of them to work in tandem within the same system. NVIDIA vGPU virtualization technologies are supported as well; display outputs are taken care of by 4x DisplayPort connectors, marking the absence of HDMI solutions. The card is currently listed for preorder at a cool and collected $5,500, but with insufficient silicon to offer even to its highest-margin datacenter customers, it remains to be seen exactly how available these will be in the market.

The 42 series large format displays are available in six sizes, from 43" up to 86", which makes them suitable for all environments.

Enjoy total flexibility for digital signage in any space. The slim bezel design and vibrant 500cd/m² bright panel delivers amazing 4K content. The ability to position them in landscape or portrait orientation means you can make the most of any space and bring your messaging, advertisements, video's and safety information to your audience.

AMD Announces Radeon Pro VII Graphics Card, Brings Back Multi-GPU Bridge

AMD today announced its Radeon Pro VII professional graphics card targeting 3D artists, engineering professionals, broadcast media professionals, and HPC researchers. The card is based on AMD's "Vega 20" multi-chip module that incorporates a 7 nm (TSMC N7) GPU die, along with a 4096-bit wide HBM2 memory interface, and four memory stacks adding up to 16 GB of video memory. The GPU die is configured with 3,840 stream processors across 60 compute units, 240 TMUs, and 64 ROPs. The card is built in a workstation-optimized add-on card form-factor (rear-facing power connectors and lateral-blower cooling solution).

What separates the Radeon Pro VII from last year's Radeon VII is full double precision floating point support, which is 1:2 FP32 throughput compared to the Radeon VII, which is locked to 1:4 FP32. Specifically, the Radeon Pro VII offers 6.55 TFLOPs double-precision floating point performance (vs. 3.36 TFLOPs on the Radeon VII). Another major difference is the physical Infinity Fabric bridge interface, which lets you pair up to two of these cards in a multi-GPU setup to double the memory capacity, to 32 GB. Each GPU has two Infinity Fabric links, running at 1333 MHz, with a per-direction bandwidth of 42 GB/s. This brings the total bidirectional bandwidth to a whopping 168 GB/s—more than twice the PCIe 4.0 x16 limit of 64 GB/s.
