As powerful and compact PCs for multimedia and gaming are finding their way into living rooms, be quiet!'s SFX L Power was designed to meet the rising demand for high efficiency and silent cooling in small form factor computers. The new power supply series does not make the SFX Power 2 series obsolete, but SFX L Power is the highest performing alternative amongst be quiet!'s compact form factor PSUs.

SFX form factor power supplies commonly use 80-millimeter fans that are required to rotate faster to equally perform like larger fans and produce more noise. Choosing the slightly longer SFX-L form factor enables be quiet! to install a silent, temperature-controlled 120-millimeter fan inside SFX L Power. The power supply still fits in most chassis and is ideal for powerful mini ITX systems, and small ATX systems thanks to the included ATX adapter bracket. With SFX L Power, users can expect silent operation to power their compact gaming or multimedia systems.

SilverStone today announced availability of its 800W SFX-L form-factor power supply (model: LTI-SX800). This PSU was first unveiled at the 2016 Computex expo. Measuring 125 mm x 130 mm x 63.5 mm (WxDxH), this PSU is built for SFX-L ready cases such as the Fortress-Z (FTZ01B). It features full modular cabling, with enough wiring for a high-end gaming PC with up to two graphics cards.

Under the hood, the LTI-SX800 features a single +12V rail design with 80 Plus Titanium switching efficiency, active PFC, and most common electrical protection mechanisms, against over/under voltage, over/under current, overload, overheat, and short-circuit protection. The unit is cooled by a 120 mm temperature-controlled fan. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is eager to announce its next O-series case: the PC-O10 dual-compartment chassis. Like the PC-O9, this case is divided into two chambers for easy organization - users can create immaculate, picturesque builds without spending hours planning cable management. By adopting the SFX/SFX-L PSU form factor, the PC-O10 has a much slimmer profile compared to the PC-O9 and PC-O8. Lian Li cut the proportions to match that of a conventional tower, while maintaining the attractive and functional half glass, half aluminum design. With power efficiency ever on the rise, and an increasing number of high-wattage SFX-L PSUs available, enthusiasts no longer need to encumber their cases with bulky traditional ATX PSUs.

In spite of its leaner dimensions, the PC-O10 still fits E-ATX and Full ATX as well as microATX motherboards. With seven expansion slots, it supports multi-GPU setups with VGA cards as large as 340mm: plenty of room for even the best gaming builds. It accommodates CPU coolers as tall as 130mm. The PSU compartment can store up to four 3.5" and two 2.5" drives, with space in the main glass compartment for an additional 2.5" SSD. The dual-compartment layout puts attractive components in the limelight, while keeping cables, drives, and other less desirable parts out of sight.

The new SX800-LTI from SilverStone belts out 800W of power at 80 Plus Titanium switching efficiency, with a single +12V rail design, DC-to-DC switching, APFC, most common electrical protections, a 120 mm fan keeping things cool, and full modular cabling. There appears to be enough cabling for a machine with 2-3 high end graphics cards. SilverStone will likely include an adapter that lets you use this PSU on a standard ATX case.

Here are some of the first pictures of the Cryorig Taku, a slim table-top SFF chassis. Made of aluminium, the case is fit for a mini-ITX gaming PC build, including a mini-ITX motherboard, with room for a compact CPU cooler such as Cryorig C7, a PCIe riser that gives you room for a dual-slot graphics card as long as 29 cm, an SFX/SFX-L power supply, and several 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives. The motherboard tray slides out of the chassis like a drawer. The case doubles up as a monitor stand, letting you save space on your desk.

Lian Li is nurturing the SFX-L form-factor of power supplies, with two new [relatively] high-Wattage PSUs. These include the 750W PE-750, and the 550W PE-550. These PSUs feature fully modular cabling, minimizing the cable clutter in your compact case, and boast of 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, APFC, and most common electrical protections. The PE-750 has enough cabling for a dual graphics card build, while the PE-550 has cabling for a single graphics card build with a high-end GPU. Both PSUs use 120 mm fans that spin only beyond a load/temperature threshold.

This unit features fully modular cabling, a single +12V rail design, 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, and enough juice and straws for a gaming PC build with up to two high-end graphics cards. Many of SilverStone's upcoming compact cases, including those for the living room and the desk, could feature SFX-L bays. The company will include SFX-L to ATX adapters, so you can use it in conventional cases.
