Noctua Shows Ampere Altra and NVIDIA GH200 CPU Coolers at Computex 2024

Noctua unveiled its new Ampere Altra family of CPU coolers for Ampere Altra and Altra Max Arm processors at the Computex 2024 show, as well as the upcoming NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper superchip cooler. In addition, it also showcased its new cooperation with Seasonic with PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition power supply and a rather unique Kaelo wine cooler.

In addition to the new and upcoming standard CPU coolers and fans, Noctua also unveiled the new Ampere Altra family of CPU coolers at the Computex 2024 show, aimed to be used with recently launched Ampere Altra and Altra Max Arm processors with up to 128 cores. The new Noctua Ampere Altra CPU coolers are based on the proven models for Intel Xeon and AMD Threadripper or EPYC platforms. The Noctua Ampere Altra family of CPU coolers use Noctua's SecuFirm2 mounting system for LGA4926 socket and come with pre-applied NT-H2 thermal paste. According to Noctua, these provide exceptional performance and whisper-quiet operation which are ideal for Arm based workstations in noise-sensitive environments. The Ampere Altra lineup should be already available over at Newegg. In addition, Nocuta has unveiled its new prototype of NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper superchip cooler, which integrates two custom NH-U12A heatsinks in order to cool both the Grace CPU and Hopper GPU. It supports up to 1,000 W of heat emissions, and aimed at noise-sensitive environments like local HPC applications and self-hosted open source LLMs. The NVIDIA GH200 cooler is expected in Q4 this year and offered to clients on pre-order basis.

Noctua Shows New Coolers and Fans at Computex 2024

In addition to the thermosiphon liquid cooler project, Noctua also brought several upcoming air CPU coolers and fans to the Computex 2024 show, including the new NH-D15 G2, the NF-A14x25 G2, as well as next-generation dual-tower 120 mm CPU cooler and next-generation 120 mm fan.

The new NH-D15 G2 is the upgraded version of the popular NH-D15, which now gets a new fin stacks with reduced fin pitch, leaving it with 20 percent more surface area, 8 heatpipes (instead of 6 on the NH-D15), new fans with both higher performance and acoustic optimization, and offset design for better PCI clearance. It will use Noctua's Torx based SecuFirm2+ mounting system with offset option for AM5, as well as come bundled with NT-H2 thermal paste, NA-TPG1 thermal paste guard for AM5, and NA-ISW1 shim-washers for improved contact on LGA1700 sockets. Noctua will launch three different versions, the standard version with medium base convexity, as well as two new versions LBC and HBC, with low base and high base convexity. The new NH-D15 G2 should launch later this month.

Available for Noctua coolers with 83 and 78 mm mounting pitch, the NM-M1-MP83 and NM-M1-MP78 represent an ideal upgrade for users who want to migrate their Noctua CPU coolers to the new, Torx based SecuFirm2+ standard or to the latest sockets that their cooler did not yet support at the time of purchase. On AMD AM5, the offset mounting option can significantly improve performance with typical reductions in CPU temperatures of 1-3°C.

Noctua Announces CPU Coolers for AMD's New Threadripper and EPYC processors

Noctua today announced its new NH-U14S TR5-SP6 and NH-D9 TR5-SP6 4U CPU coolers for AMD's TR5 (sTR5/sTRX5/sWRX9) and SP6 sockets for the just-released 7000 series Threadripper HEDT (High-End Desktop) and Threadripper PRO workstation processors as well as 8004 series EPYC server CPUs. While the 14 cm NH-U14S TR5-SP6 provides maximum cooling performance at minimum noise levels, the 9 cm NH-D9 TR5-SP6 4U combines excellent efficiency with a compact size for full 4U compatibility. Noctua Presents NH-L9a-AM5 Low-profile CPU Coolers for AMD Ryzen

Noctua today presented the latest addition to its successful NH-L9 series of low-profile CPU coolers: At a height of only 37 mm, the new NH-L9a-AM5 and NH-L9a-AM5 chromax.black are an excellent choice for quiet, ultra-compact HTPCs or Small Form Factor (SFF) systems using AMD's latest, AM5-based Ryzen processors.

Noctua Presents NH-D12L Low-height 120mm Dual Tower CPU Cooler

Noctua today presented the all-new NH-D12L low-height dual tower CPU cooler and the corresponding NF-A12x25r round-frame 120 mm fan. At a height of only 145 mm (13 mm lower than Noctua's regular 120 mm models), it fits many 4U enclosures as well as narrower tower cases that have been previously limited to solutions with 92 mm fans. At the same time, its five heatpipe dual-tower design and state-of-the-art NF-A12x25r 120 mm fan allow it to achieve a level of efficiency that surpasses many full-height 120 mm models.

"So far, all our 120 mm class coolers were 158 mm high, but as of recent, more and more PC cases only support up to 150 or even 145 mm - this is where the NH-D12L steps in", explains Roland Mossig (Noctua CEO). "Simply lowering one of our existing models wasn't an option because a standard square 120 mm fan would cause lots of issues with motherboard heatsinks or shrouds. Noctua Announces Free-of-charge Mounting Upgrades and Updated CPU Coolers for LGA1700

Noctua today announced that it will provide free-of-charge mounting upgrade kits for Intel's upcoming LGA1700 platform, enabling customers to keep using existing CPU coolers on the new 12th generation Intel Core CPUs (Alder Lake-S). Additionally, most of Noctua's current multi-socket cooler models will soon include LGA1700 mounting hardware and the popular NH-L9i low-profile coolers will come in new, dedicated LGA1700-revisions.

Noctua Presents CPU Coolers for Intel LGA4189 Xeon Platform

Noctua today presented four CPU coolers and a separate mounting kit for Intel's LGA4189 platform. The new NH-U14S DX-4189, NH-U12S DX-4189, NH-U9 DX-4189 and NH-D9 DX-4189 4U are ideal for creating whisper-quiet high-end workstations using Intel's just-announced Ice Lake-64L based W3300 series Xeon processors for LGA4189. Noctua Launches NH-P1 Passive CPU Cooler and LS-PWM Fan for Semi-fanless Systems

Noctua today released its much anticipated NH-P1 CPU cooler as well as the optional NF-A12x25 LS-PWM 120 mm fan. Custom-designed for fanless operation from the ground up, the NH-P1 is capable of cooling modern high-end CPUs with low to moderate heat dissipation completely passively in enclosures with good natural convection. Noctua Showcases Next Generation of D-type Coolers, Chromax Coolers and More at Computex 2019

During our visit with Noctua, we spotted what every air cooling enthusiast has been hoping for, a brand new top of the line D-type cooler. Noctua's next generation model is of course based on the award-winning NH-D15 and NH-D15S and comes packing 7 heat pipes alongside a 10% increase in surface area for improved performance. It also takes design cues from the NH-D15S by using an asymmetrical design for improved PCIe clearance while also retaining the same fin cutouts for improved RAM clearance of 65 mm.

The company plans to release two versions, one with a single fan and of course a dual fan thus offering both a high compatibility and a maximum performance model. The bundled fan will be Noctua's proven NF-A15 PWM model which when paired with the new redesign results in a cooler capable of dissipating over 400-watts on the TR4 socket. Speaking of sockets, it will support all current offerings including AMD, LGA20xx, LGA115x with a separate model for socket TR4. It has a current ETA of Q1 2020 and will come bundled with Noctua's NT-H2 thermal compound.

Noctua Presents NH-U12A Premium Class 120mm CPU Cooler

Noctua CPU Coolers Now Include AM4 Mounting at No Extra Cost

Noctua today announced that all of its current multi-socket desktop CPU coolers, such as the popular NH-D15, NH-U14S and NH-U12S, now also include installation hardware for the AM4 socket of AMD's Ryzen processors. Although Noctua introduced its dedicated SE-AM4 models in early 2017 and has provided free-of-charge upgrade kits ever since the launch of the AM4 platform, the updates of the existing multi-socket models now allow customers to install them on all current mainstream sockets without ordering extra mounting kits. As suggested retail prices remain unchanged, the updates come at no extra cost to the customers.

Due to the spacing of the mounting holes being identical on LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155 and LGA1156, Noctua's previous SecuFirm2 mounting systems for LGA115x also support Intel's upcoming 'Skylake' platform. All current Noctua coolers already include SecuFirm2 mounting systems for LGA115x and can thus be used on LGA1150 mainboards without any upgrades or modifications.

Noctua Presents Two Asymmetrical 140mm CPU Coolers

Noctua today announced two new additions to its portfolio of premium-quality, quiet CPU coolers with 140mm fans. Whereas the NH-D15S is a high-compatibility single fan version of the elite-class dual tower model NH-D15, the NH-C14S replaces the proven top-flow cooler NH-C14.
