Raising the bar and becoming a CES 2024 Innovation Award Honoree, Dell Technologies is introducing the world's first 40-inch 5K monitor certified for five-star eye comfort, the Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U4025QW). Dell has added a new display to its UltraSharp range and this time around we're looking at a 38-inch ultra-wide display with a resolution of 3840 x 1600 pixels. The display uses an IPS Black panel with a 2000:1 contrast ratio and it covers 100 percent of the sRGB and REC.709 colour gamuts, as well as 98 percent of the DCI-P3 and Display P3 colour gamuts. Sadly it only has a brightness of 300 cd/m² and it's unclear if this is an 8-bit + FRC or a true 10-bit panel, as Dell only mentions support for 1.07 billion colours. It uses a standard WLED backlight, so no fancy miniLED backlight here and as this display is intended for work use, it also only appears to support 60 Hz refresh rate with a response time of 8 ms in normal mode.

Other features include a built-in KVM switch courtesy of a pair of USB-C ports, with the primary supporting USB PD up to 90 W, as well as DP Alt mode, with the second port only supporting USB 3.2 Gen 2 data at up to 10 Gbps. Other inputs include two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DP 1.4, while the outputs consist of five USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps Type-A ports, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps ports, a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet jack and a 3.5 mm audio line out jack. One interesting feature is that the built in Ethernet supports network boot, something that isn't a common feature on monitors and it also has the ability to lock the wired port to one of the two connected computers in KVM mode. The stand supports height,swivel and tilt adjustment. The asking price for the U3824DW is US$1,529.99 and it's available from Dell now.

Dell first unveiled its UltraSharp U3224KB 6K monitor back in early January at the CES 2023 trade show - this professional-grade 31.5-inch screen boasts Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and sports an impressive IPS Black panel (courtesy of LG Display) capable of displaying a super dense 6144 x 3456 pixel resolution. Today the North American technology company has announced that its U3224KB model is available to purchase at a price of $3,199 (CA $4,289.99).

The UltraSharp's competitive pricing undercuts the nearest competition by $1000 - Apple's Pro Display XDR is marginally better in terms of specifications, but potential buyers will get landed with a $5000 bill for the privilege of owning it. Dell is hoping that a bunch of handy features on its offering - including an in-built KVM, 4K HDR webcam, plenty of type USB-C & A ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port and dual 14 W speakers - will be enough to steal some professional clients from Team Cupertino.

For those of you that find a 4K monitor to lack in resolution, but 8K being a bit too pricey, Dell announced a 6K option at CES in the shape of the 32-inch U3224KB monitor. The IPS Black panel features a 6144 x 3456 pixel resolution with 178 degree viewing angles, a contrast ratio of 2000:1 and it's also VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified. As this is a professional monitor, it offers a colour gamut that meets 99 percent of the DCI-P3 colour space, as well as 100 percent of the sRGB and Rec. 709 standards.

On the connectivity side, it supports Thunderbolt 4, with one input and one throughput, which includes 140 W power delivery, the highest we've seen to date from a monitor. It also has a pair of additional pop-out front facing USB-C ports, which can deliver 15 W of power, as well as a USB-A port, all of which are able to deliver data speeds of up to 10 Gbps and four rear mounted USB-A ports. Display inputs consist of one HDMI 2.1, one mini DP 2.1, one USB-C with unknown DisplayPort standard support, as well as one of the Thunderbolt 4 ports. Finally the U3224KB also features an RJ45 jack for Ethernet connectivity.

One of Dell's most popular LCD monitors was the Dell UltraSharp 30 and the company has now brought it back, but the new U3023E model is quite different from its predecessors. It's still a 16:10 monitor with 2560x1600 resolution, but the overall design has been refreshed and it now features slimmer bezels and a slimmer overall build, a slightly re-designed stand and a lighter colour palette. However, the real changes have taken place under the hood, as this is one of the most fully featured displays ever made when it comes to connectivity. Display inputs consist of an HDMI 1.4 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB-C port with DP 1.4 Alt Mode as well as USB PD at 90 Watts.

There's also a DP out for daisy chaining to a second display, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) upstreams port and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 downstreams port with 15 W power delivery. Furthermore there are four USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, of which one supports the Battery Charging 1.2 standard. Finally there's an RJ45 port for Ethernet connectivity when used with a laptop or similar and a 3.5 mm audio output jack. The panel is of IPS type and has a rated brightness of 400 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1, as well as a 100 percent sRGB and 95 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut. As this is an office display, the refresh rate is still stuck at 60 Hz and the response time is 8 ms, or 5 ms in fast mode. For those nostalgic enough to splash out on the new UltraSharp 30, you're looking at a fairly steep US$784.99.

New displays and meeting systems from Dell Technologies (NYSE:DELL) help creatives and office professionals work productively and comfortably in hybrid work environments. According to IDC research, 81% of employees believe monitors with higher resolution, better ergonomics and color improve the overall working experience. This expanded UltraSharp portfolio features state-of-the art technology, including mini-LED, built-in colorimeter and low blue light reduction screens.

At the 2020 International CES, Dell unveiled its latest monitor for graphics professionals, the UltraSharp PremierColor UP2720Q. This 27-inch monitor features an in-built colorimeter for color-caliberation, besides support for CalMAN, which lets you caliberate color with an external colorimeter. The UP2720Q offers 100% Adobe RGB coverage, besides 98% DCI-P3, and 80% BT.2020. The 27-inch 4K Ulra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) monitor also supports Thunderbolt 3, letting you daisy-chain it with other devices.

Dell has just announced immediate retail availability of their new UltraSharp U3818DW monitor. As the model name might suggest, we're looking at a 37.5" panel. It features a 3840 x 1600 resolution (which isn't that common to begin with), and supports a USB Type-C input (via DP 1.2 alternate mode.) Sadly for the gamer side of every one of us TPU users, Dell is positioning the U3818DW as a business-class monitor - it gets professional-market oriented features, such as an anti-glare coating, but loses support for AMD's FreeSync or NVIDIA's G-SYNC, which is a shame.

The panel is an 8-bit + FRC IPS solution, a 24:10 aspect ratio, 2300R curvature, and 1.07 billion colors. The panel is manufactured by LG, and if you fancy its size, curvature and resolution but fancy some gamer-oriented features, you can look towards LG's 38UC99 and Acer's XR382CQK, which both use the same panel but include FreeSync support. Refresh rate on the Dell UltraSharp U3818DW is locked at 60 Hz; it features a 5 ms gray-to-gray response time, and maximum brightness is set at 350 cd/m². Inputs range through 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 2x HDMI 2.0, and 1x USB 3.0 Type-C. The U3818DW also features a 4x USB 3.0 hub with support for 4x USB-A. Each screen is sRGB-calibrated to Delta E < 2 accuracy, and the monitor also technically supports the DCI-P3 color gamut, but only covers 78.1% of it. Dell's UltraSharp U3118DW is now available directly from Dell for $1500.

Dell, which makes some of the best computer monitors around (though they really don't tend to be the most cost-effective), has announced a new addition to its line of monitors. The UP2718Q is a 27" monitor which boast of 4K (3140* 2160) resolution, and supports the UHD Alliance's HDR10 standard. Its peak brightness of 1,000 nits ensures its adherence to the HDR standards (which backs up to 400 nits brightness on non-HDR material), while the 100% Adobe RGB, 100% sRGB, 100% REC 709, 97.7% DCI-P3, and 76.9% REC2020 color coverage ensures this is a panel best used by professionals who need extreme color accuracy. Connectivity wise, we find 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x mini-DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0a ports, 2x USB 3.0 ports, and a hub of 4x USB 3.0 ports, two of which are capable of charging.

Dell today started selling its flagship 32-inch (31.5-inch viewable) 8K monitor on its website. The Dell UltraSharp UP3218K boasts of "visuals that rival life," thanks to its gargantuan 7680 x 4320 pixels resolution, which is four times that of 4K Ultra HD, and sixteen times that of Full HD. At its size, the display offers a stellar pixel density of 279 ppi. Under the hood is an IPS panel with 178°/178° viewing angles, 60 Hz refresh rate, 6 ms response time (GTG), 1,300:1 static contrast ratio with dynamic mega-contrast, and 400 cd/m² maximum brightness. The display takes input from two DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. Backed by a 3-year warranty, the UltraSharp UP3218K is priced at USD $5,000.

At CES 2017, Dell has unveiled yet another addition to their monitor product line, and this one is drool worthy: an 8K, 32" UltraSharp monitor, with an insanely high resolution of 7,680 x 4,320 at 60Hz. Labeled as the world's first 32-inch 8K resolution display with Dell PremierColor, the UP3218K offers 1.07 billion colors and packs in more than 33 million pixels - four times as many as a 4K display and 16 times more than Full HD. That means it offers a PPI rating of 280 - which translates into "very high" settings for a desktop screen.

Dell introduced the UltraSharp U2717D monitor, featuring a super-thin bezel design, which the company refers to as InfinityEdge, that lets you build multi-display setups, with minimal bezel loss. The 27-incher features an IPS display panel, with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, 6 ms (GTG) response time, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, and 1000:1 static- with dynamic mega-contrast ratio. The panel surface features 3H anti-glare coating. Inputs include DisplayPort 1.2, mDP 1.2, and HDMI 1.4a (with MHL support). A USB 3.0 hub comes included. Dell didn't reveal pricing or availability.

DisplayLink, the leading provider of USB graphics technology, will demonstrate the very latest commercially available Dell UltraSharp 5K monitors connected over a single, standard universal USB cable providing 5120x2880 resolution. The new solution to future-proof notebook expansion is being showcased at CES from January 6th ~ 9th 2015 at the DisplayLink booth #36258 in South Hall 4.

Dell plans to launch the first consumer 5K monitor some time in December 2014, priced at just under $2,000 a pop. This comes in the wake of Apple launching the first consumer product with a 5K display, its latest iMac Retina all-in-one desktop. Dell's UltraSharp UP2715K is a 27-inch display with 5K (5120 x 2880 pixels) native resolution, which lends it a staggering 218 ppi of pixel density. Compare that to the 157 ppi of 28-inch Ultra HD monitors. 5K is four times as many pixels as WQHD.

The UltraSharp UP2715K features a 10-bit IPS panel, with 99 percent Adobe RGB and 100 percent sRGB palette coverage, and a 12-bit LUT. It offers viewing angles of 178°/178°, 8 ms response time, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, and 1000:1 static contrast-ratio, with dynamic mega-contrast. The display needs two DisplayPort connections for sufficient bandwidth, to beam those many pixels at 60 Hz. There's also a mini-DisplayPort, but using that would either cap resolution at 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, or drop refresh-rate at the native resolution.

Dell is showing the 16:10 aspect ratio some love with its newest UltraSharp model, the U2415, which features a 24.1-inch AH-IPS panel with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Seen below, Dell's display comes with a slim (6.9 mm) bezel, a W-LED backlight, a 6 ms G2G respone time (that's with the FAST mode enabled), 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a 5-port USB 3.0 hub, a stand allowing for tilt, swivel, rotate and height adjustments and one DisplayPort, one mini DisplayPort and two HDMI inputs, plus one DP out for daisy chaining (up to three monitors).

The UltraSharp U2415 can be found on Dell's Chinese website bearing a price tag of 3,299 yuan ($537/409 Euro).

Dell released its UltraSharp U3415W, a 34-inch curved ultra-wide monitor, which the company claims will provide an ergonomic multi-display workspace with just two displays; to rival those with three full-HD ones. The displays are equipped with blue-light reduction technology, to reduce eye-strain. The U3415W offers an aspect ratio of 21:9 (cinematic), with a native resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels, refresh rate of 60 Hz, and 8 ms response time (GTG). Display inputs include HDMI 2.0 (sufficient bandwidth to run the panel at its native specs), mini-DisplayPort 1.2, and MHL. The monitor takes both analog inputs, and digital audio passthrough from its HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 connections, to drive its inbuilt 9W stereo speakers. The UltraSharp U3415W from Dell will begin selling some time in November, 2014.

Dell has once again expanded its popular UltraSharp line of monitors, this time with three models that are aimed towards office use due to their video conference capabilities. Named UZ2215H, UZ2315H and UZ2715H, the new 21.5-inch, 23-inch and 27-inch monitors respectively feature a built-in 2 megapixel camera, dual (Omni-directional) microphones and two built-in 5 W speakers.

Dell's displays use IPS panels and have a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, an 8 ms GTG response time, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a two-port USB 3.0 hub, and D-Sub, dual HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2a outputs. The UZ2315H and UZ2715H are selling in the US for $299.99 and $449.99 while the UZ2215H can be found in Hong Kong at HK$2,399 (~ 309 USD ).

Dell is on a roll. After announcing its 28-inch UltraSharp P2815Q and 24-inch UltraSharp UP2414Q, both of which feature Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) display resolutions in the 16:9 aspect-ratio, the company is turning its attention to the newfound 21:9 ultra-wide aspect-ratio. Expreview unearthed plans for a new 34-inch display, with an unusually high resolution that could woo away some of the Ultra HD crowd. The new U3415W from Dell offers a native resolution of 3440 x 1440, which has the same Y-axis as WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels), albeit much wider. Basic math would tell you that it's still a staggering 40 percent lower pixel count than Ultra HD. The U3415W reportedly features an IPS LCD panel made by LG. The display should offer a decent middle-ground between currently $400-ish 27-inch WQHD monitors, and four-figure >30-inch Ultra-HD ones taking shape.

In addition to introducing the UltraSharp UP3214Q model, Dell is set to add two more Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) monitors to its offer, a 24-inch model known as UP2414Q and a 28-inch display named P2815Q.

The UP2414Q should be available shortly and will feature an IPS panel with 99% AdobeRGB and 100% sRGB coverage and 178/178 degree viewing angles, an 8 ms GTG response time, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (dynamic contrast ratio is 2,000,000:1), a media card reader, a 4-port USB 3.0 hub, HDMI, DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort inputs, and a stand enabling tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment. This one will cost $1,399. The P2815Q is scheduled to arrive early next year priced at under $1,000.

Dell has now released in its home market two UltraSharp Series monitors, the 31.5-inch UP3214Q and the 23.8-inch U2414H. Previously released in Hong Kong, the UP3214Q is Dell's very own IGZO-powered offering boasting a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. In addition to the Ultra HD picture, the monitor features 176/176 degree viewing angles, 99% AdobeRGB and 100% sRGB color coverage, an 8 ms (GTG) response time, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio (dynamic contrast ratio tops 2,000,000:1), 350 cd/m2 brightness, a 4-port USB 3.0 hub, and HDMI, DisplayPort and mini DisplayPort inputs.
