Value & Conclusion

  • Great build quality
  • Durable
  • Good cable and in-line remote design
  • Good tip selection
  • Quality microphone
  • Sibilance issues
  • Bass control
  • Ergonomics
1MORE ticks a lot of boxes with the Capsule. It looks great, includes all relevant features, and comes at a sub-$100 price-tag. Unfortunately, a lot of the basics are not covered well enough once you look at its acoustic performance. The bass could do with more control, and the treble is also unrefined when directly compared to similarly priced in-ears.

Despite looking great and being very small, 1MORE still manages to fail on one crucial performance aspect with the Capsule, which is fit. With my pretty averagely sized European ears, the fit is bad no matter what tips I put on. The problem is due to a shorter-than-average sound tube. The issue was remedied by moving the tips further forward on the stem, but with no back stop, they just slide back into their intended position after a while. If you have small ears, the fit will most likely be really good, but it is definitely not something that is a given with the Capsule.

For everyday use, the good build quality and microphone make it of good value if you can get a good fit. The build quality is better than with the HiFiMAN in-ears in the same price range.
