A-DATA PD17 Flash Drive 1 GB Review

A Closer Look

The small dimensions of the PD17 become apparent when it is placed on the optical disk and when compared to other memory devices. The Super Talent variant is already quite slim and compact, but the A-DATA device is even much smaller and thinner than this.

The front of the PD17 holds the white and very prominent A-DATA logo, while the back is empty. The enclosure is made of hard plastic. We received the red version, but A-DATA also sells th PD17 in blue and gold. There is a large loop in the design, which makes the flash drive perfect for your key chain. The paint job is great, so you will not have to worry about it rubbing off or scratching easily.

The USB 2.0 connector is embedded into the device. This black plastic enclosure also holds the memory, so you can imagine how small the device itself is. You can push the connector out, by sliding the lever out. It is a simple USB 2.0 connector without the metal enclosure. If you insert the drive the wrong way, it will simply not work, so you do not have to worry about shorting the device or the USB header on your computer or notebook.
