The ADATA Superior SH14 is actually quite capable of delivery on the two biggest selling arguments: rugged protection and water resistance. The first is easily covered and works well, while the second is actually delivered as well. It can withstand splash attacks, rain or even being submerged in water, as long as the connector stays above things. This means that the plug is really the only weak spot, but as there is no scenario for a normal customer to require further protection, I would say this is more than adequate. On the other hand, there are very few capable offerings on the market today that go this far in terms of physical protection. On top of that the ADATA Superior SH14 delivers very good USB 3.0 and adequate USB 2.0 performance - although write speeds with 2.0 are a tad slower than other USB 3.0 devices on the market today. Thus, this leaves us with a very rugged, well designed, good looking and useful 3.0 hard drive - deserving a recommendation.
