Installation

When you log on you get an overview of current settings. You can change these via the wizard, or as I did to show more options, manually.

Before you can start using the WMU-6000FS you should configure the network settings. It's very likely you'll be wanting to use it wireless, thus you should configure it. Airlive kept this quite simple, give the device a network name, security if desired and just go. You don't have to configure the other options.

If you don't plan on using the storage options you most likely won't buy a device like this, configuring storage is easy though. You simply select your drive and tell it to make a partition on it, everything goes automatically from then. If you feel the need you can also create several partitions on a disk.
Or if it's already in a supported format you don't have to do a thing.

After configuring the network settings and the storage you're set. When you access the device via Windows file sharing you get the option to configure, which is just a html file linking to the web interface, and to access storage. If you wish you can set some basic access rules on a per user basis.
