Well, there is not much to say about the Akasa Baymaster. Anyone looking for a normal, internal card reader can expect to drop around 10 Euro on one. Considering that, the additional 10 Euro for the Baymaster, which also comes with a 2.5 inch hot swap bay is an excellent price for those who would really need something like this. That said, a simple device like that is expected to work well and while it does with very good performance numbers, it is a small mystery why Akasa has chosen a SATA power connector instead of a Molex one. The resulting combination of USB - which is a standard even in aging systems that could very well use the little upgrade the Baymaster provides, along with the modern SATA connector usually missing from such computers simple does not fit. Even though a small and simple device like the Baymaster cannot be judged on a lot of points, it works extremely well and is certainly very useful - more so than one may realize at first.
