Installation
To install the Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora 360 means getting things ready. While the order here doesn't matter too much, installing the fans on the radiator and preparing the pump block for mounting should be done first. For the pump slide, put the proper brackets together inside the channel on the housing and assemble the mounting screws by sliding a spring into place, followed by a washer. At this point, you can thread the nut on to hold the mounting screw in place. With that done, you can attach the radiator with its fans already mounted to the chassis.
Next, expose the adhesive on the backplate and position it on the motherboard, making sure to hold it firmly so it stays in place. Now, apply some thermal paste and secure the pump block to the CPU.
With everything installed, simply plug in the wiring as noted in the manual and everything should be ready to go.
Overall, I would rate my installation of the Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora a 7 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). The mounting process isn't bad or difficult. However, backplates with adhesive are still a pain, and using a standoff to hold the backplate firmly in place would be easier. That having been said, it could be far worse as well, so while not the easiest all-in-one liquid cooler to install, a bit of patience in regards to the backplate is all that is truly necessary to get the job done.
