3DMark 11
We first turn our attention to 3DMark 11, Futuremark's first benchmark for the DirectX 11 API. There's nothing much to see here. The "P" (performance) preset appears to be CPU limited to its 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and any difference can be discounted to random variation, however big it looks. The 1080p "X" (extreme) preset is negligibly faster on the 14.12 Omega.
3DMark (2013)
Things heat up with the 3DMark FireStrike series. All three versions of the test, be it the 1080p default, the 1440p "Extreme," or the 2160p "Ultra," suffer from a noticeable drop in performance with 14.12 Omega. We re-ran the test thrice, with driver cleanups and reinstalls between each run, and picked the best result. The suite's other DirectX 11 test, Sky Diver, gave us slightly better results with the newer driver. Overall, this driver brings nothing to the table for enthusiasts looking to climb up a 3DMark leaderboard, and it could even set them back a few steps.
