New Installer
AMD improved the installer its software ships in. The company appears to have finally gotten rid of the old setup system; not that we complained about it, but it's one step less. The installer still unpacks the installation files to a temporary folder you can dispose of after installation to clean up about 300 MB of precious disk space.
You're greeted by a user interface consistent with the modern Radeon Settings design. You now get the option to perform "clean installations," which makes the installer clean-up any existing Radeon software on your machine before installing the fresh software. This adds an extra system reboot to the process, and looks like it just calls up the uninstall routine, which is also available under Programs -> Software.
You can also customize your install to keep out components you don't need. Overall, AMD's software user interface has come of age.
