We got our Ryzen 7 5800X3D sample from retail in chip-only form; the packaging will look as shown in the slide above. The box looks similar to the one the 5800X comes in, but there's a prominent chrome insert with the "AMD 3D V-Cache technology" branding. Pay attention to this bit because the box the Ryzen 7 5700G APU comes in has a similar-looking insert with the Radeon Vega graphics branding. The processor itself looks similar to every other Socket AM4 chip.

The retail Ryzen 7 5800X3D box does not include a cooler. Luckily, it can be paired with a fairly big selection of AM4-compatible heatsinks that have been released since 2017. Plenty of choice in the market.
