Antec ISK110 VESA Mini-ITX Desktop Review

Value & Conclusion

  • The Antec ISK110 VESA sells for around 75 euros (incl. taxes) or 85 USD (excl. taxes).
  • One of the most compact DIY ITX enclosures out there
  • Added ability to mount on the back of a monitor with the VESA 100
  • Two 2.5 inch hard-drive bays included
  • Four, well-spaced apart USB 2.0 ports at the front
  • Enough space within the chassis for standard coolers, thanks to the extruding metal-mesh cover
  • Sturdy construction
  • Can power up to 80W of components
  • Simple, but very protective packaging
  • Restrictive interior
  • Dust can easily enter the chassis due to open side
  • No USB 3.0
  • No Card Reader
  • Slightly long cables
  • Simple brown packaging
The Antec ISK110 is an extremely compact ITX chassis that can still hold two 2.5" hard drives. There are plenty of other ITX cases out there and some are even more compact than this one, but there are very few that also give you USB connectivity at the front and the ability to VESA mount. That said, while the ISK100 was one of the most affordable ITX DYI cases out there when we took a look at that chassis, things have changed a bit. Now, you can get plenty of cases including PSUs for around 50 Euros, but those units max out at 45-60W. That said, the Antec ISK110 VESA does bring everything together with a very good set of features, but it lacks modern standards like USB 3.0 and still fails to offer a dust filter. While those are its two largest drawbacks, it is still a very good enclosure.
