Value and Conclusion

  • The MaxPoint A+Case Twin Engine sells for around $110 which is a good price for a case with such cooling setup.
  • Great look
  • High quality parts
  • 2x 25cm fans!
  • Incredibly silent
  • Incredible airflow
  • Fan controllers
  • Sturdy steel construction
  • Sturdy, high quality door
  • High quality side window
  • Great screw-less design
  • Door closes with magnets
  • Every screw needed is included as well as other materials
  • Compartment for parts and storage
  • Well packaged
  • Exotic front panels may not work with rails
  • Front I/O not placed well, missing audio I/O
  • Heavy for LAN parties, an aluminum version would be great
The MaxPoint A+Case Twin Engine is big, very big. Not only in size, as it is a full tower, but in cooling and fans as well. The amount of air these two fans push cannot be achieved with normal fans at all. No matter how many you install in a traditional case. With all that cooling power comes absolutely no noise. My surrounding ambient noise is louder than these two fans together, turned up full throttle. It will definitely cool anything you can stick into it and while we are at it: it can take a lot. Five external 5.25", one external 3.5" and seven internal 3.5". With the looks and the performance of the case, you will want to take it to a LAN party, just watch out: almost 12kg is not very light. Besides the placement of the "front" I/O, I really cannot find anything wrong with this case - a definite Editor's Choice!
Please note that the A+ Case Twin Engine, the XCLIO A380 and the Scythe XClio A380 are the same case, depending on your location one might be easier to find than the others.
