Don't ask my why the single fan version of the ARCTIC P12 PWM PST A-RGB costs more for the black color compared to the white one, only for this to be reversed with the triple-pack on ARCTIC's own web store. Likewise, the ARCTIC Amazon store does not currently have these fans in white available at this time, and the single pack is also out of stock to where 3rd-party prices put it almost as high as the triple-pack. I have also seen the triple pack go lower at times from other vendors, dropping the cost of these fans to ~$12/unit. Even $/€14.3 per fan is firmly in the affordable category compared to the vast majority of other RGB fans we've covered before, with many going for 2-3x as much. There is competition from the likes of Endorfy with its Fluctus 120 PWM ARGB (~$13-15) though, and obviously you will be paying more than twice for these fans compared to the non-RGB versions that can be had for ~$30 for a 5-pack.
As with the P12 PWM PST non-RGB fan, these A-RGB fans are not the best performing fans on a radiator even if you only consider RGB fans. We've seen some really nice fans lately that offer a good balance of bling and bang alike. Some of this comes in the form of simply higher quality and more specialized components, including the static-pressure optimized LCP fans in the SeaSonic MagFlow ARGB. This is more noticeable at higher fan speeds, albeit not appreciably so and these other fans cost more too, ARCTIC further eases the pain by offering a long and linear RPM range of control, in addition to a zero-RPM mode, allowing you to simply set the fans to spin faster should you need more cooling. The relatively lower airflow here also means less airflow noise, and this time round it's also not as cumbersome owing to the frequency response being less high-pitched compared to its non-RGB sibling. As such, when you consider the fans from a performance/noise basis, they hold up better than you think even on a radiator. It's very likely these fans will perform better when up against lower airflow restriction, such as a case filter or an air cooler, while still giving you the RGB goodness on offer. I also appreciate ARCTIC providing a six-year warranty, and I've personally seen their customer service to be top-notch. When people talk about the P12 PWM fans being an absolute bargain, it's usually the non-RGB, non-PST models in the discussion. While this A-RGB version is less of a bargain, it's still plenty competitive and enough of a value offering to merit your interest.
