Star-base, Gas lift and Caster wheels

The five star-base is made out of aluminium and has a matte black finish. Aluminium is light but strong and corrodes slowly, especially if it is anodized.


Height adjustments rely on the class 4 gas lift, which had extra height added to it to better cater to tall users. The black caster wheels are 60 mm across and PU coated. They roll quietly on flat surfaces and appear to be durable enough for the stated weight limit.  

Armrests

The armrests are 3D and made from PU material. At 9 cm (3.54") wide and 24 cm (9.44 ") long, they are of the typical dimensions. The armrests have a button for height adjustments and can be slid forward/backward and rotated inward/outward.

Neck and Lumbar Support Cushions

Since the Vernazza does not have an integrated adjustable lumbar-support system, two cushions covered in the same upholstery as the chair are included for extra support of the lumbar and pelvis regions and the neck.


The neck-support cushion is unique since it is larger than what we are used to and has a cut on the lower edge. However, if you are as small as I am–I am 1.60 m tall—positioning it properly for your neck will prove challenging.


The lumbar-support cushion attaches to the chair; its straps are not visible, but it can freely move upward/downward. The elastic bands which are not visible make for another fine detail. Both cushions have the company logo with the capital "A" in black stitching.
