ASRock has listened to customer complaints about "bloatware" and now offers just a few pieces of software that are automatically installed off the driver disc, and if you want a bit more, you can use their provided App Shop tool to download the rest. You can also use this tool to update both the board's BIOS and the drivers for the board's hardware, making this the one-stop-shop for all your software needs.


I found that the ASRock RGB LED tool had installed itself off the disc as well, and when I first started it, it asked to update the LED firmware and flashed a warning about not shutting down the PC while the update is in progress. So when you get to the point where you want to change the board's onboard LEDs, make sure nothing else is going on in the background that could make the board reboot or you might have an issue!
