With a big and bold "X" on the front, the ASRock X99 Extreme11 arrived ready for action. The back of the box, in blue, white and black, hints at the board's colors inside—how quaint.


Opening the box revealed very little as everything but its manuals and the driver disc are inside a black felt bag. ASRock always securely wraps their board products in a foam tray that will keep the board safe until it reaches your door. The foam tray is secured to the board with a couple zip ties, so you might want to take out your side-cutters to free the board from the foam's safe grip.
