The ASRock Z790 PG Sonic Edition features a modest 14+1+1 phase VRM configuration. These Vcore phases are setup as teamed, in which every pair receives the same PWM signal.

ASRock is using a Richtek RT3602AE (8+1) PWM controller to drive the power stages.

The ASRock Z790 PG Sonic Edition uses Vishay SIC654 power stages for the 14 Vcore phases. These power stages each support a maximum of 50 A of continuous current. The VCCGT (iGPU) phase on this motherboard is using a single Vishay SIC654 power stage.

Here we can spot the VCCAUX power rail. This is using Potens Semiconductor PDC3908X power stages. PWM controller numbers for this are not legible.

ASRock Z790 PG Sonic Edition has a maximum output of up to 700 A dedicated to Vcore.
