It is really hard for me to write any sort of conclusion for the ASUS MAXIMUS VI IMPACT without sounding like I’m kissing ASUS’s butt. There is so little here that I can find fault with that, no matter how I look at it, I just have to confess it to nearly be the perfect board for anyone that wants to run a single VGA, even if you have to stuff it into a fully sized tower only to have it dwarfed by your case. If you want one of the best Intel Z87 experiences, you just have to buy the IMPACT and see for yourself, no matter how silly it might look.
Objectively, I cannot ignore that this board costs a fair bit, but it is not overpriced as it simply offers so much. Do you need everything it offers? Absolutely not. But can you put it all to use? Absolutely. Its power consumption is a bit higher than I would like, which prevents the ASUS MAXIMUS IV IMPACT from getting the perfect score, and I do feel that ASUS’s software package is a bit too much because of how fast this platform is, although I did use everything in the package at some point, and that is definitely a part of the ROG experience itself. You ask for it, and ASUS provides it all.
