ASUS has got rid of the old AI Suite and relies on Armory Crate for everything from system status to accessing Fan Xpert 4 or controlling the RGB lighting. There's also a driver and utility version checker that can detect out of date items and update them automatically. Armory Crate can be installed manually but will also request installation on boot up of a new system thanks to an option in the BIOS. Fan Xpert is fairly useful even if you're not a fan of motherboard software, as it does allow you to fine tune your fans to your specific workloads while they're running, which you can't do in the EFI.
