The ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming features a 8-phase VRM configuration using a parallel power-stage design. Two Vishay SIC639 power stages run in parallel for each phase, which gives ASUS double the power-handling capability without using any doublers.

ASUS is using one of their own Digi+ VRM ASP1900B PWM controllers to drive the ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming.

The ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming uses Vishay SIC654 power stages for all eight phases. There are fourteen stages for the Vcore and two stages for the SOC. These power stages each support a maximum of 50 A of continuous current. When paired with the chunky VRM cooling solution, the ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming should be a capable overclocker.

The ASUS Z490 PG ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming has a maximum output of 800 A.
