NAS Overview And Software Video

The following footage provides an overview of the server's set-up procedure and the ADM operating system.


I should point out here that the NAS refused to connect or was showing as offline quite frequently. I lost valuable time because of this issue, and although I tried to find a solution, nothing but a reset using the button at the NAS server's rear seemed to fix it. Thankfully, only the network settings are lost with a reset, not the data stored, or I would have abandoned this review and marked this product a failure.


The problem seems to get worse when you try to set up the Ethernet ports in LACP mode (802.3ad), and although I used two different switches, in case of a compatibility problem, the issue persisted. Hopefully, Asustor will soon provide a fix through a software update. I should mention that I have another Asustor NAS in my lab, the AS5102T, which works fine; however, it is run in LACP mode.
