Value and Conclusion

  • The Bitspower Leviathan XF 360 radiator costs $114.95 from the Bitspower shop for customers in the USA, as of the date of this article.
  • Excellent build quality
  • Great thermal performance at all tested fan speeds
  • Four G1/4" ports and included stop plugs offer more plumbing layout options
  • Increased compatibility inside cases as a result of the relatively low width and length
  • Priced higher than nearly every other 360 mm radiator, including the one it is based on
  • Above average liquid flow restriction relative to all radiators
I'll admit, part of my curiosity for the Bitspower Leviathan series stems from seeing how the OEM market works in the PC DIY watercooling market. Bitspower is usually on the other side of that coin with many customers working with the Taiwan-based company to get water blocks and fittings under a different label. When it comes to radiators, however, they could have gone with their own factory (which in turn means $$$), a China-based OEM, which would have diluted their product offering, or the German/Philippine option. As it turns out, not only is Bitspower going with Hardware Labs as an OEM for radiators, but so is CORSAIR, so it must have been the right move in more ways than one.

Indeed, the Leviathan XF 360 has actually had a silent revision since it launched a couple of years ago. I understand it was essentially a direct rebrand of the Black Ice Nemesis LX before, and since then, Bitspower has added their own take on it. With a complete restructure of the radiator core to add two extra ports without sacrificing performance, this is no simple change, either. It also resulted in the addition of two Bitspower stop plugs as accessories, and now, the Leviathan XF series is separate enough from others to have its own identity, which is a good thing, as is the excellent list of pros above. There are times where the Black Ice Nemesis GTX might be the way to go, but if you can not fit it into your case, you now have a retail product that is basically the same in every other way that will.
