Bitspower Summit M Silver Metal CPU Block Review

Liquid Flow Restriction

I use a Swiftech MCP50X pump with a FrozenQ 400mL cylindrical reservoir. The pump is powered through a direct SATA connection to an EVGA 1300G2 PSU and controlled by an Aqua Computer Aquaero 6 XT. There is a previously calibrated in-line flow meter and Dwyer 490 Series 1 wet-wet manometer to measure the pressure drop of the component being tested. Every component is connected to the manometer by the way of 1/2" x 3/4" tubing, compression fittings, and two T-fittings.

We went over the various factors that contribute to the liquid flow restriction of a CPU water block and how things end up potentially lower or higher on the Bitspower Summit M Silver Metal, including the relatively smaller area occupied by the microfins and the relatively larger microfins, but with a shorter travel path and nickel-plating that reduces channel width. As it turns out, the combination of these factors leads to its placement in the middle of the table, though slightly higher than average at this time.
