Noise and Fan Speed (Increased Temperatures)

Considering the SFX form factor, the 92 mm fan, and the high capacity, you cannot call the fan speed profile aggressive. It would be aggressive if the fan's speed were maxed from 70-80% load. This also depends on the fan's max speed, but the Hong Hua fan that CWT used in this unit is pretty strong.

Noise and Fan Speed (~30°C)

There is no passive operation, but this is not a problem since the fan spins at a low speed up to 400 W load. I prefer a suitable fan speed profile over a semi-passive operation, allowing heat build-up at the PSU's internals. With anything higher than 560 W, the PSU enters the 40-45 dBA zone; with around 100 W more, the noise goes over 45 dBA. With higher quality electrolytic caps on the secondary side, CWT could lower the fan speed under harsh conditions, but this also has to do with the provided warranty. If it is long (seven years or more), there is not much headroom for a more relaxed fan speed profile.
