You may call the fan profile at high operating temperatures aggressive, but the PSU uses a low-speed fan, so noise output will never exceed 37.3 dBA.

The semi-passive operation doesn't last long, but the PSU stays below 20 dBA with loads of up to 475 W. Given the platform's efficiency levels and good build quality, the fan-speed profile could afford to be slightly looser with higher loads under normal ambient temperatures.
