CM Storm Pitch In-ear Gaming Headset Review

Value and Conclusion

  • The CM Storm Pitch in-ear gaming headset sells for €29.
  • Good bundle
  • Flat, less tangle-prone cable
  • On-cable microphone
  • Push button on the cable
  • Good build quality
  • Tips are not the best
  • Microphone build quality not as high as the rest
  • Large diameter ear pieces
CM Storm's first ever gaming in-ear headset is quiet alright for what it is meant to do. The sound quality is good enough for gaming on the go and the form factor is convenient. The build quality is for the most part up to the job; however, the podded microphone and button assembly seem a lot less durable than the rest.

With a diameter of 13 mm for the ear pieces, you will also need large ears to accommodate them in a comfortable manner. One of the key characteristics in terms of comfort, CM Storm mucked things up here. While it was a small nuisance during testing, people with small ear will definitely have a hard time getting them to fit properly.

The Pitch in-ear headset does an alright job for the price; that is, with one major caveat: The sound signature is a bit on the sterile side, and while that is good for gaming, it might be better to employ a more generic sound signature people will want to use for music as well. They are not horrible for music playback, but some might not like their brighter than average sound signature.
