Cooler Master MP510 Mouse Pad Review

Performance

I used four different mice to test tracking: a Tt Iris Optical (PMW3325) and a HyperX Pulsefire Core (PAW3327) to test some medium-tiered sensors and a Logitech GPW (HERO) and CM MM530 (PMW3360) to check on the performance of high-end optical sensors. Most mice performed as they should, without any errors or sensor-specific anomalies that would be caused by the mouse pad.

My modded G PRO Wireless, however, showed some highly outlying polls, which I think were caused by the scraping I talked about earlier. All my other mice had no issues whatsoever, so I blame the tiny mouse feet on my GPW. The middle part (the sensor's area) most probably touches the pad upon higher pressure. Logitech's solution to this is a small ring-style skate that encircles the sensor I have removed from mine, which causes the scraping to happen.

These graphs show fifteen horizontal swipes with each mouse. If anything strange should happen with the sensor, this test (and others that aren't as impressive visually) will show it (as can be seen with the GPW especially). I also did some in-game testing, which was done in CS:GO and Overwatch—I ran into no issues there even with my GPW, so the flying polls might only affect the synthetic tests.
